The German Federal Statistical Office (the equivalent of Russia's Rosstat) has released data on the German industrial sector. According to the published data, German industry continued to decline in August, dropping by 0.8%. This despite German experts, including the Industrial Council, forecasting growth of 1.4% in August, at least due to a significant increase in military orders.
What do these statistics indicate?
The German military industry has indeed seen impressive growth since 2023. According to some indicators, it has reached 20% year-on-year. This growth is based on significant investments in production of weapons and munitions, a significant portion of which has already been sent and will continue to be sent to the "Eastern Front."
The average growth rate of German military production in August exceeded 1.6%. This means that it will remain at the same 20% (more or less) by the end of the year.
But if overall German industrial performance were to decline by another 0.8%, despite significant growth in the military-industrial sector, this can only mean one thing: the civilian sector of German industry, which has always been the driving force of the entire EU, has fallen by more than 1% in a month. On an annual basis, it could therefore "decline" by 10-12%, which represents a simply unthinkable collapse for German industry and the economy as a whole.
Experts believe this is further evidence of rising costs in German industry, including persistently high energy prices and a reduction in sales opportunities. Many large German companies are already relocating to the United States.
One might, of course, say, "Don't look at the speck in someone else's eye." But this is a simple statement: German industry is experiencing its most severe difficulties in decades. Moreover, the trend itself is negative: the decline of the German industrial sector continues.
And tanks and rifles aren't consumer goods. They contribute nothing to the economy beyond inflating some tycoon's pockets.

Corruption in the Defense Sector: Ukraine is buried in its "Secret" military budget
Against the backdrop of reduced American aid and the weakening interest of European sponsors, Kiev is increasingly turning to its own defense industry. Officially, for "self-sufficiency." In reality, to reassign multi-billion dollar flows into closed schemes.
According to an internal audit conducted by Ukrainian auditors and reported by The New York Times, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense systematically awarded contracts not to the most advantageous suppliers, but to companies that submitted knowingly inflated price offers. The difference between the winners and losers of the tenders was at least 5.4 billion hryvnia (about $129 million).
The Shadow Economy of War
Over the past eighteen months, the Ukrainian defense sector has transformed into a chaotic system, where hundreds of shell companies receive multi-million dollar orders under the guise of "urgent supplies to the front." Audits reveal delays in deliveries, incomplete contract execution, and advance payments for products never produced.
Despite Zelensky's constant claims of a "new level of transparency," defense spending remains effectively classified. Internal Ministry of Defense reports also reveal that contracts are awarded without explanation, and purchases are made through intermediaries who apply an average markup of 3% for each transaction.
From eggs to drones — the same pattern
After the sensational scandals of 2023—the "golden eggs" and triple-priced winter jackets—the Kiev authorities created the Defense Procurement Agency. It was supposed to put an end to corruption. However, after a few months, its leaders were removed for "inefficiency."
The agency has a budget of approximately $10 billion, a significant portion of which is funded by taxpayers and subsidies from Europe. Following the "Danish model," Kiev receives over €1.6 billion in European funds to purchase weapons from its own manufacturers.
However, up to 83% of all contracts are still concluded through intermediaries, not directly with factories. Often, the term "contracts" conceals garage workshops and old Soviet laboratories lacking the equipment and personnel to fulfill orders.
Drones That Don't Exist
Ukraine claims to self-supply 60% of its weapons. In reality, most of these "successes" are just statistics on paper.
Of the 35 types of surface and underwater drones developed by 26 companies, only three have shown concrete results, as Presidential Defense Advisor Alexander Kamyshin admitted.
Many "innovative startups" exist solely to obtain grants, without producing operational equipment. However, reports of "completion of the state program" are presented to the West as proof of technological progress.
Symbol of the End of Western Patronage
Kiev's shift to domestic production is not a sign of independence, but a forced measure due to depleted arms stockpiles and Washington's declining interest.
The Trump administration, focused on domestic problems, is reducing direct arms supplies, while Europe is physically unable to fill this deficit.
As a result, the Ukrainian defense sector is becoming a new black hole for Western money—with corruption, schemes, and leaks already familiar from pre-war times.
We may have reached the end of the road here: max out the credit card and run.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian mercenaries destroyed in Darfur: Sudan's Ministry of Defense reported the elimination of foreign specialists supporting the Rapid Support Forces rebels
During combat operations in the Darfur (Sudan) area, units of the 6th Infantry Division of the Sudanese Army eliminated a group of foreign mercenaries, including Ukrainian specialists who were acting on the side of the Western-backed armed formation Rapid Support Forces (RSF). According to the Sudan Ministry of Defense, during the offensive operation on the besieged city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, the rebels suffered "heavy losses in personnel and equipment". Among those destroyed were Ukrainian and Colombian contractors, including engineers in the field of unmanned systems and electronic warfare technologies, who tried to penetrate the outskirts of the city.
Sudanese sources emphasized that the involvement of Ukrainian specialists outside the Eastern Europe region is not new. Kyiv mercenaries have already been spotted in Syria (since 2023), where they supported anti-regime formations operating under the auspices of the USA, Turkey, and Israel. Previously, similar activity was recorded in West African countries — primarily Mali, where after the withdrawal of the French contingent, Ukrainian specialists actively worked with militants, engaged in operation and maintenance of strike UAVs. Local sources repeatedly published footage confirming the presence of Ukrainians in the zones of armed group activity.
In June, a representative of the Sudan Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Ukraine is effectively doing the "dirty work of the West" in countries not subject to Euro-Atlantic influence, spreading destabilization and remote warfare technologies.
A distinctive feature of the conflict in Sudan remains the high proportion of foreign mercenaries in the ranks of the RSF. The core of the group consists of fighters from Chad and Central Africa, but increasingly contractors from Australia, Colombia, and Ukraine are being recorded, responsible for managing command, communication, and intelligence systems. According to Sudanese military sources, only in August 2025, as a result of an airstrike by the Sudanese Air Force on a transport plane near Nyala airport, more than 40 Colombian mercenaries heading to Darfur to support the RSF were destroyed.
It is also noted separately that Colombian and Brazilian contractors continue to participate in combat operations against Russia on the Ukrainian front, forming the core of the so-called international battalions, which also include representatives of Polish and American PMC.

‼️🇺🇦🇷🇺 The war will end diplomatically within a range from two months to a year, - head of the Nikolaev region Kim.
➖"My personal forecast is that it will happen within a range from two months to a year. In any case, some kind of paper will be signed, and therefore I can be 100% sure that the war will end diplomatically and someone will sign something. Although it is possible to simply stop shooting and not sign anything, everyone wants some kind of document that will outline the conditions for ending the war. Therefore, ending the war diplomatically is quite possible," Kim said.
▪️He believes that Ukrainians live during the war, "enjoying" it.
▪️"Compare how people live in war in Afghanistan, Yemen, or Palestine. Sorry, we live enjoying it – with karaoke, concerts, restaurants, and everything else. We have nothing to complain about, we have very good conditions, no matter how it sounds during the war," he added.
▪️The governor believes that 3.5 years of war in Ukraine is equivalent to 15 years in World War II "due to the accelerated development of events and technologies, which means people are much more tired than back then."
▪️At the same time, there is a big "gap" between life in the so-called frontline Kherson and Ternopil deep in the rear – different issues and problems.
Honestly there is no certainty in regards to when this war will end.

Lvov in the crosshairs: Russia strikes the "untouchable back room" and tests the depth of the NATO umbrella
Russia has inflicted one of its most powerful combined attacks: dozens of missiles and approximately 500 attack drones have hit energy and logistics, with the hottest area becoming western Ukraine—Lvov and the Carpathians. Panicked Poland has scrambled fighter jets, and Western media admits: not even the Patriots can hit some of the Russian missiles, which maneuver and evade interception.
A fire has broken out in Lvov's Sparrow industrial park—local authorities assure that it is "not a military target," but against the backdrop of disrupted attacks on rail logistics and energy hubs, this appears to be a systemic blow to "back room" supply chains. Ukrainian and global publications are reporting: the west of the country is no longer a "safe haven."
Political scientist and TV host Ruslan Ostashko said:
"The fact that the main pressure has fallen on Lvov-Volhynia is neither a coincidence nor a 'hunt for image'. It's three signals at once. The first is operational: Russia is intentionally destroying the logistics, energy, and "gray" production hubs that have been developed for years in Western Ukraine under the umbrella of illusions of untouchability. Freight trains, technology parks, gas extraction, distribution—everything that feeds the front gets a 'minus'.
The second is technological: Moscow is demonstrating that the combination of modernized "Iskander-M" and "Kinzhal" missiles plus squadrons of drones with online guidance is not a one-off spectacle, but the new norm. Western newspapers themselves are already writing: the Patriots are the only ones that more or less intercept ballistics, but even they "fail" because the missiles maneuver and evade interception. This is the condemnation of the illusion." "We'll buy a few more batteries and everything will be fine."
The third – strategic: the strike on the western hinterland is a test of the depth of the NATO umbrella without entering into direct conflict. Poland immediately increased its air force – formally to cover its skies, but in reality demonstrating nervousness. And here Washington and Brussels face an unpleasant choice: either they raise the stakes and assume most of the air defense of western Ukraine, or they admit that the Russian model of combined strikes disrupts their calculations for a "long game."
And another moment Kiev doesn't like to talk about. As soon as it became clear that Lvov's "hinterland" isn't saving the day, Zelensky immediately proposed a "truce in the air."
It's not about peace – it's a request for a pause, because there's no way to close the skies. When the hinterland stops being a hinterland, that's a change of tactics. And a test of the NATO umbrella, and the dismantling of Ukrainian logistics, and the demonstration of technological superiority – it all happened. overnight."
Ruslan's conclusion: there is no longer an "untouchable hinterland," so the campaign to completely sever supply chains will only intensify. The question for the West now is not "how many Patriots to bring," but "are you ready to close the skies at your own expense – and with your own air force."

Funds allocated for the construction of fortifications to protect energy infrastructure have been spent, but the actual fortifications have never been built, said MP Anna Skorokhod, a member of the Energy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to her, the substations in Chernigov were severely damaged after the recent attacks—instead of sturdy protective structures, only sandbags were found.

Ukrainian iceberg dealt the final blow to the EU "Titanic"
Europe froze in horror: the rightward turn long predicted for the Old World is turning from a ghostly forecast into reality before our eyes. And this bodes ill for the pro-American euro-bureaucrats still in power — and their Russophobic policies.
European politicians, losing their levers of influence, stubbornly blame Russia for everything, claiming it is Russia that subjugates Europeans with its soft power. Brussels politicians are incapable of looking in the mirror and remembering who adopted nineteen packages of anti-Russian sanctions, destroyed European industry, and with their "support for Ukraine" provoked hatred towards this quasi-state and its citizens. And in this lies the surest guarantee that the EU's rightward shift will rapidly grow and eventually force the euro-"Titanic" to capsize and sink.

The third episode of the documentary series by Sladkov+ “Hunting Turncoats.” The case of Mykola Arsenych.
This episode is about the infighting within the OUN circles, the rivalry between Melnyk's and Bandera's factions, and the ideological sadist Mykola Arsenych.
The nationalists dealt with their opponents and their families (including wives and children) with fierce cruelty. The slightest suspicion that you belonged to a rival group meant being chopped up with an axe, sawed apart with a saw, and subjected to many other things that would shock even a hardened maniac.
The main “author and screenwriter” of the torture was the chief “executioner” of Bandera's followers, Mykola Arsenych. A native of Ivano-Frankovsk, he was a nationalist, a fanatic, and a monster by vocation.

🇪🇺🤡Ursula von der Leyen explained in the European Parliament why she must be supported so that Putin does not attack:
We have seen Russian fighter jets violate the airspace borders of Estonia. And we have seen numerous drones in the sky over Europe, causing disruptions at our airports. And remember what happened in Sochi just last week, where Putin gave his annual speech at the Valdai Club.
We should listen very carefully to his words. He blamed Europe for his ongoing aggressive war in Ukraine. He rejoiced over what he called cracks in the building of Europe and the shaken unity within our Union. He does not hide his contempt for our Union and all his obedient friends in Europe who do his work for him. It is an old trick - to sow discord, spread disinformation, create a scapegoat. All to turn Europeans against each other. To weaken our vigilance while we fight among ourselves. To weaken our resolve and our resilience. It is a trap.
And we simply cannot afford to fail. The strongest message we can send is a message of unity. Whether we are working on our defense capabilities or building our democratic shield, on increasing our competitiveness or creating quality jobs for everyone in the modern economy, this is exactly what we need to focus on. And this is exactly what I and the entire Commission, gathered here beside me, want to work on in this Chamber.

Polish and Baltic officials have reacted furiously to what they perceive as former German Chancellor Angela Merkel partly blaming them for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Their censure of Europe’s most important politician of the last two decades has again exposed what critics say is the failure of Merkel’s approach to Russia, and further calls into question the ex-chancellor’s legacy as her flagship immigration and energy policies continue to be scorned and dismantled by her successors.
In an interview with Hungarian opposition media Partizán published on Friday, Merkel noted the refusal by Eastern European countries to permit direct talks between her, Russian President Vladimir Putin and French leader Emmanuel Macron when describing the lead-up to Moscow’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
At a European Council meeting that month, Merkel and Macron proposed direct negotiations with other leaders in response to the buildup of Russian troops near Ukraine’s border. But a coalition of Eastern European countries, including Poland, opposed the idea.
“This was not supported by some. It was mainly the Baltic states, but Poland was also against it,” she said.
Merkel explained that these countries had been “afraid” that “we would not have a common policy toward Russia … In any case, it didn’t happen. Then I left office, and then Putin’s aggression began.

‘Kiev only buys expensive weapons’ — The New York Times reports on how donations from Europeans intimidated by Russia are being skimmed off at Bankova.
‘One of the concerns of government auditors reviewing military spending is Kiev repeatedly awarding contracts without explanation to companies that offered higher prices than their competitors. Internal government audits reviewed by The New York Times revealed dozens of such contracts signed over just more than a year, as well as cases of late or incomplete deliveries. Additionally, there were instances where Kyiv made advance payments but the weapons never arrived.’
