'Zelensky to arrive in Berlin on Wednesday' – Spiegel announces new journey of Kiev beggar.
'Merz wants to discuss possible steps for further technical negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in a personal meeting with Zelensky. He also wants to inform his guest about plans for a new EU sanctions package against Russia, which is intended to increase pressure on Moscow to hold serious talks.'

Will Germany support Ukraine in a qualitatively different way?
I understand what you are getting at, and yes, of course. There are no longer any restrictions on the range of weapons supplied to Ukraine - not by the British, not by the French, not by us. Not by the Americans either. This means that Ukraine can now defend itself, including by striking, for example, military positions in Russia. We call this 'long-range fire' - we are talking about equipping Ukraine with weapons that are capable of hitting military targets behind enemy lines. And this is a decisive qualitative difference in Ukraine's war tactics. Russia attacks civilian targets absolutely unceremoniously. Ukraine does not do this. And we attach great importance to keeping it that way.

Ukrainian drone hits the Cross atop an Orthodox Christian cathedral in Tula, Russia.
The strike seems intentional, as the Church poses no military threat or signifiance.
Ukraine is picking civilian targets to get Russia to overreact so they can get the headlines they want to influence Trump. Its beyond obvious what is going on. Like the strikes on the WWII remembrance park, this is just baiting Russia.

Washington Lectures London on Free Speech — But Only When It Suits the Optics
The United States has quietly interfered in British domestic affairs, again... but this time under the banner of freedom of expression. According to The Telegraph, a State Department delegation flew to the UK in March to meet with British anti-abortion activists who’ve been arrested or harassed for expressing their views near abortion clinics.
The five-member US team, dispatched by the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL), also met with UK Foreign Office officials and Ofcom, Britain’s censorship-adjacent “communications regulator,” to express concerns about the country’s creeping criminalization of free speech under the guise of “online safety.”
Let’s be clear: this wasn’t a visit of solidarity, it was a shot across the bow, amid trade talks and mounting friction between Trump’s America and Starmer’s censorial regime. The US delegation also attended private meetings with activists like Livia Tossici-Bolt, arrested for holding a sign that read “here to talk if you want” and Adam Smith-Connor, the army vet convicted for silently praying near an abortion clinic.
Vice President J.D. Vance called it one of the “most concerning cases” of religious persecution in the Western world, and he’s not wrong. Because in modern Britain, you can burn the Union Jack, but you can’t pray silently 150 meters from a clinic.
But here’s the catch: this sudden US interest in “British liberties” is highly selective. When it came to Julian Assange, Washington demanded silence. When UK police trampled COVID protesters, not a word. But when the issue fits Trump’s base, suddenly the State Department discovers Magna Carta.
Empire doesn’t just spy on allies, it tutors them in double standards. And now it’s teaching Britain how to manage free speech… selectively.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 "Air defense was powerless": Military facilities were damaged by strikes in Kiev and the region — Ukrainian expert
- He claims that a defense plant in Kiev was also damaged.
- Presumably, we are talking about the Antonov plant, which was attacked by more than 20 Geraniums on May 24.
- "A lot of Kiev residents, especially if the houses are multi-story, they were able to watch how the "Shaheds" simply calmly fly into one of the Ukrainian factories. And at the same time, the head of air force communications tells us that out of 250 drones that flew in to us - these are "Shaheds" and imitators - 245 were shot down. Everything is fine," Krivolap notes.

Remember what was said before:
"If the decision to permit long-range artillery strikes deep inside Russian territory is taken, it will mean nothing other than the direct participation of NATO countries, the USA, and Europe in the war in Ukraine. This, of course, will fundamentally change the nature of the conflict. It will mean that NATO countries are at war with Russia."
'Restoring and increasing Ukraine is a difficult task. We must rise like a phoenix from the ashes and show the whole world that the history of Ukraine is a history of success'
🇷🇺🇺🇦 For Ukrainians, the key issue in the negotiations is human losses, not territorial ones — Rada deputy
- "If we talk about red lines and how the population of Ukraine perceives them, then for many military veterans with whom I communicate, the red lines are more the loss of their brothers-in-arms. That is, what we fought for. They fought for Ukraine, and not for specific territories," Tarasenko said.
- He also believes that the most important thing for Ukraine is education and economic growth, not territory.
- Tarasenko notes that it is important that after the cessation of hostilities, Ukraine “is not torn apart from within.”

NATO Secretary General Rutte said that the Istanbul talks were Zelensky's trap for the Russians
'Zelensky sent his top team, including the foreign minister and the defense minister, to Istanbul - basically to 'lure out' the Russians and show the rest of the world that the Russians were not serious about those talks in Istanbul. Russia sent its representatives who just wanted to go back to where everything stalled on March 22. This is absolutely not expedient and does not lead us where we need to go.'

🇩🇪🤷♂Germany backed down.
Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil stated that there are no new agreements on the range of German weapons for Ukraine , and the government's position remains the same.
This means that Merz has little desire to lift all restrictions on long-range weapons and there is nothing to expect for now except a cheap media show-off that has not been agreed upon with anyone.
Apparently, a fierce political battle is taking place inside the FRG. On one side is the war party led by Merz, on the other are those who do not want to get involved in a suicidal adventure.
Although another option is possible, in which a performance is performed in front of the public, and the missiles have already been transferred. We will find out what is true very soon.

Syracuse-based Australian political analyst on how the conflict in Ukraine could go on for another five years:
It may take a year to complete these negotiations, or like during the Vietnam War. There, it took 5 years to reach a ceasefire. It is obvious to me that despite Trump's dissatisfaction with Putin, he has long since decided to wash his hands of the conflict in Ukraine. He is involved in other wars.
For example, the trade war with Europe. He is waging a war with Harvard. Trump doesn't like the war in Ukraine because Putin makes him look like a fool.

Residents of the Suwalki Corridor are leaving en masse, fearing a Russian invasion — Bild
▪️Amid growing tensions, residents of the strategically important Suwalki Corridor have begun to leave the region en masse, writes Bild.
▪️This narrow strip of land (about 65 km) between Poland and Lithuania, dividing Belarus and Kaliningrad, is a vulnerable spot in NATO’s defense.
▪️According to military estimates, in the event of war, Russia could strike from two sides. The Russian Armed Forces' artillery, capable of striking more than 30 km, covers the entire corridor - with its help, it would be possible to cut off the Baltics from the rest of Europe.
▪️Amid the exercises and militarization of the region, people are increasingly saying: “We don’t want to be the first to be hit.”

▪️The publication writes about this with reference to several external experts and former government officials.
▪️Sources also note that despite his harsh statements against Russia, Trump made it clear that he does not intend to put pressure on Moscow and impose tough sanctions.
▪️In this way, the American president is abandoning the commitment he made to the leaders of France, Germany and Britain on the issue of joining anti-Russian sanctions.
Western MSM try to goad Trump. Ukraine and EU knowing the war is lost is trying everything to salvage a deal.

'Zelensky and the Europeans are putting on a theatrical performance to keep Trump on their side' - this is necessary to arm the Ukrainian Armed Forces - The Insider editor Weiss
'The good news is this. Today, Ukraine provides about 40% of its own defense needs. The remaining 60% is divided roughly equally: 30% from the United States and 30% from the Europeans. The more time passes, the more Europe will be able to buy weapons and provide Ukraine with what it needs. That's why we are seeing a kind of Japanese kabuki or Spanish fandango with Zelensky and the Europeans trying to keep Trump involved. They still need the United States to help them with long-range air defense systems, rocket artillery, and ammunition. But over time, Europe will be able to take on more and more, and the role of the United States as a vital ally will be less than it is today.
'Trump should arm Ukraine so we can push out Russia' – MP Rudik forgot that she should talk about a ceasefire and peace talks
'We hope that President Trump's promise to make peace through force, which we had high hopes for, will finally lead to him stopping trying to appease Putin. That he will finally move on to the two things that actually work: putting economic pressure on Russia so that it cannot make drones and missiles, and arming Ukraine so that we can defend ourselves and push Russia out. That is the reality that has to happen. And we just hope that enough people have died that President Trump finally understands what to do next.'
