This lines up with Secretary Hegseth's comments in Brussels and Neo-Con plans to freeze the conflict and create a Syria-style buffer zone.
When (not if) the US renegs (again), Russian forces will have to fight through a deeply entrenched Western occupation.

Ukraine has agreed a deal with the US on rare earth metals after Washington abandoned tough demands, including 100% control over production, the Financial Times reports.
In the updated agreement:
- The US has dropped its demand to receive $500 billion in income from Ukrainian resources.
- The clause on full US control over the commercial fund has been excluded.
- A fund is being created to which Ukraine will direct 50% of the income from the monetization of minerals, oil, gas and infrastructure.
- The fund's resources will be used for investment projects in Ukraine.
- Other conditions may be specified in additional agreements.

“The war in Ukraine is profitable to the United States economically, politically and so on. That’s why they’re interested in this war continuing,” retired Russian Army colonel and renowned military observer Viktor Litovkin told Sputnik, commenting on the Biden administration’s steady pressure on Kiev to reduce the draft age to 18.
Besides the cash the US military-industrial complex can expect from new contracts from its Eastern European NATO allies from the “recycling” of Soviet-era equipment, and the replenishment of Pentagon warehouses after sending old stocks off to Kiev, hawks in Washington are able to pursue their long-term agenda of “weakening Russia,” Litovkin explained.
The gruesome “business” in Ukraine is so profitable that Litovkin doesn’t expect it to stop once Donald Trump is in charge. After all, he recalled, it was Trump who first sent lethal weapons to the country.
“I’m more than certain that Trump will not rush to stop this ‘business’. He will likely simply dump part of it onto Europe, while continuing the rest because it’s profitable for the US. Trump has always been on the side of the US military-industrial complex,” Litovkin said.
As for the drafting of 18-year-olds, “someone has to man the frontlines and the trenches” if the reserve of 25-year-olds and up (the current draft age) has been exhausted, the retired colonel said. “How can this conflict continue if a million Ukrainian servicemen have already been knocked out, killed, wounded, maimed and so on? Some people have fled to Europe, to Russia and so on.”

Q: What is the actual destructive force or how much energy is released by each 100kg rod? What is the TNT or known weapon equivalent? What is the total energy delivered by Oreshnik in MJ, GJ, KT, etc?
A: Upon impact, the 100kg projectile traveling at Mach 10 (12350 km/h or 3400m/s) delivers an immense amount of kinetic energy. The kinetic energy release of each 100kg rod would be 578MJ, equivalent to 138kg of TNT per rod. This energy is converted to heat, pressure, and mechanical work. The KE of each rod is used up primarily in penetrating the Earth (up to 30m as mentioned above), and creating a hypersonic shockwave, which trapped deep underground causes intense heat and pressure, vaporising surrounding material, and accelerating exothermic reactions between the tungsten, aluminium and oxidizer particles.
In the extreme heat and pressure caused by the hypersonic shockwave and friction of impact, supported by the aluminum’s reactivity and the oxidizer’s oxygen supply, the tungsten particles burn in a self-sustaining manner. This leads to the secondary energy release, being an intense fireball, overpressure and high-temperature field. My estimate of the energy release rate of the hypothesized tungsten-aluminium composite is based on the results of Zhao et al and extrapolated to account for the Mach 10 velocity. According to that calculation, which is an extrapolation and does not account for the presence of an oxidizer, the chemical energy release rate of the oreshnik submunition is at least 10.5Kj per gram, which is 2.5x that of TNT. Therefore, the explosive power of each rod is equivalent to approximately 250kg of TNT. For comparison, a Russian FAB500 bomb contains 201kg of TNT.
The total TNT equivalent of Oreshnik therefore is the sum of its payload's kinetic energy and chemical energy. Assuming a total of 36 100kg submunitions, each delivering 578MJ kinetic energy, plus 1050MJ in chemical energy, we arrive at 58.6GJ of energy in total, or 14 tons TNT equivalent.
IMPORTANT: I personally think this is a conservative estimate (though I may be wrong - in fact I'm probably wrong haha).
If we want to compare purely from an energy perspective, 14 tons TNT is equivalent to 70 FAB500 bombs or 16 FAB1500 bombs, also equivalent to the approximate average yield of the US M388/W54 Davy Crockett small tactical nuclear weapon. However, it's important to note that Oreshnik combines extreme kinetic energy release with high energy, high temperature explosive release deep underground, to deliver that energy in a way very different to any of those weapons.

For three years, Volodymyr Zelensky has been America’s darling, a khaki clad symbol of defiance, pleading for billions in aid and NATO’s embrace amid Ukraine’s self inflicted war.
To many well-meaning Americans, he’s a hero battling overwhelming odds. But behind the curated image lies a far uglier truth, a stooge comedian turned president, propped up by a criminal oligarch, surrounded by cronies, and presiding over a regime of corruption, repression, and broken promises.
This is the real Zelensky, an actor playing a role he’s woefully unfit for, that was proven yesterday in the oval office.
As Ukraine spirals deeper into chaos and its brutally harvested conscript army collapses in retreat, it's important that decent Americans understand who and what this man really represents.
Let's start with Kvartal 95, The Oligarch’s Launchpad, Zelensky’s story starts not in politics but comedy. Born in 1978 in Kryvyi Rih, he co-founded Studio Kvartal 95 in the 1990s with a group of friends that had hit it big by the 2000s, ironically their big breaks were made in Russia, performing in Russian and focusing on Russian and Ukrainian political and cultural life. The key to all this success? Ihor Kolomoisky, a billionaire ukrainian oligarch with a laundry list of crimes, including fraud, money laundering, and brutal violence. Kolomoisky then owned 1+1, the TV network that handed Zelenskys Kvartal 95 a national platform starting in 2012. He didn’t just offer airtime. He bankrolled Zelensky with cash, security, and legal and criminal muscle. This wasn’t mentorship. It was a transaction. Kolomoisky, later sanctioned by the U.S. for “significant corruption,” saw Zelensky as a pawn in his game. By 2019, when Zelensky ran for president, Kolomoisky’s DNA was all over the campaign providing vehicles, lawyers, bodyguards, and a media blitz. Zelensky was never an outsider; he was a "made man"
This is where it gets almost unbelievably bizzare. In 2015, Zelensky starred in "Servant of the People," a hit satire aired on Kolomoisky’s 1+1 channel, where he played a teacher turned president railing against corruption.
Ukrainians, tired of the endemic corruption in the post Soviet state, lapped it up. Then, in 2018, his Kvartal 95 crew decided to turn fiction into reality, registering a political party called, you guessed it, "Servant of the People." It had absolutely no manifesto, no policies, and no plan of action, just a TV title and Zelensky’s face.
Running in 2019, Zelensky promised to end corruption and the Donbas civil war, which had erupted after the CIA backed Maidan Coup, winning in a landslide thanks to Kolomoisky’s media machine. An actor who played a president on TV was now remarkably in the real job.
Zelensky didn’t waste any time handing power to his showbiz pals. Ivan Bakanov, a Kvartal 95 co-founder, became head of the SBU security service with no experience. Serhiy Shefir, another comedy crony, took a top aide role, no experience. And then there’s Andriy Yermak, a film producer turned Zelensky’s right-hand man, now head of the Presidential Office, dubbed Ukraine’s “shadow president.” Yermak, physically and intellectualy towering over Zelensky, controls policy and access, a fixer running the show while the president flounders. These weren’t appointments based on merit. They were loyalty hires, a Kvartal 95 clique utterly unfit for a grossly dysfunctional war-torn nation.
Zelensky’s laughable anti-corruption pledge met reality in 2021 with the Pandora Papers. The leak revealed he and his inner circle,including Bakanov, were funnelling cash to Kolomoisky with Zelensky stashing millions offshore.
Zelensky swore to end corruption and the Donbas war. Instead, he’s delivered more of both, a million lie Dead, the free Media crushed, billions stolen, languages and religion banned. This criminal is no hero. No Churchill. And no friend of America. He should be treated accordingly.

Oreshnik Q & A
Part 1 of 2
Some technical questions appeared in the comments section of my article from yesterday, "Oreshnik in depth".
I will answer the questions posed to the best of my ability, and in the interests of further clarifying my own thought processes and conclusions. It's important to remember that while based on a science foundation including actual experimental data, my visualisation of the Oreshnik's weapon effects is the result of a measure of extrapolation and speculation. This is due to the limited hard data we have.
Q: Why don't the videos of the strike show visible explosions at the impact site?
A: The 100 kg tungsten-aluminum projectile traveling at Mach 10 would penetrate approximately 20-30 meters into the Earth, assuming typical soil or rock density (~2000 kg/m³). I believe the Oreshnik munitions penetrated deep underground before the reaction of its materials reached the conflagration point. Most of the energy released was underground. That's why there is no massive fireball above ground at the moment of impact. There would likely have been plasma plumes visible for a while after the strike, however the video we have is too short to see that.
Q: How can any chemical reactions even occur at such high temperatures? Wouldn't the elements all be in a plasma state?
A: As a result of the kinetic and chemical energy release, temperatures may well be high enough to result in plasma states, and a plasma plume would likely persist for a while afterwards. However most of the energy release would have occurred before that happens.
Q: Why not just use depleted uranium?
A: DU has been overhyped ever since the first Persian Gulf War in 1991, and perhaps because of certain video games such as World of Tanks. It's highly effective in armour-penetrating ammunition, and is also used as a nosecone on US bunker-busting bombs, however its effect in a weapon such as Oreshnik has no comparison to the tungsten-aluminium composite suggested here. It would also be uncharacteristic of Russian armed forces to use DU, especially on Dnipropetrovsk, which according to the constitution is Russian territory.
