Adorable. Like a lapdog growling from under the table after it’s been fed.

Merz, fresh off a humbling first-round rejection in parliament, told ZDF that “absurd observations” were coming from the U.S. over Germany’s move to classify AfD as extremist, a party that just raked in 20.8% of the vote. What triggered the yapping? VP J.D. Vance had the gall to point out that Berlin is rebuilding the Berlin Wall of ideology, while Marco Rubio called Germany a “tyranny in disguise.”

And what was Merz’s bold stand?
“We’d like to encourage the American government… to largely stay out of our domestic politics.”
Oh please. That’s not defiance, it’s a plea to be micromanaged a little more gently. Adorable how gentle the plea.

He even rushed to reassure viewers he didn’t interfere in Trump’s election win, as if still begging for an invitation to the grown-ups’ table. He promises to raise the issue with Trump in a cordial phone call, and maybe, just maybe —mention it again at the NATO summit in The Hague. Provided, of course, the Pentagon grants permission.

Even on the AfD ban, Merz shows some rationality — “You can’t ban 10 million voters,” he says. But then pivots back to trying to tame AfD with narrative instead of policy. It’s all theatre, just enough bark to avoid embarrassment, but no bite to leave a mark.

When a vassal state whimpers, it’s not rebellion. It’s scripted resistance, broadcast to remind the imperial court it still knows who’s boss.

YouGov: Westerners Consider the US as the Victor over Hitler, 76% Expect "Nuclear War" with Russia

A YouGov poll for the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II has revealed the mood in Europe and the US. More precisely, the many years of effective propaganda and brainwashing.

First, about the future (figures from The Guardian ). Up to half (45%) of Americans and 41–51% of Europeans believe that World War III is possible within a decade – in which the main enemy will be Russia or (in second place) fierce Islamic terrorism. 68–76% expect a nuclear war (that’s why they’re buying up bunkers), and 25–44% expect the death of most people.

15-41% of Europeans and 71% of Americans believe in the ability of their armies to protect them. 53% of US residents are confident of victory over Russia, and 48% believe that America and the EU will defeat the alliance of Russia and China. Only 12% assumed that the West could lose.

The British (44%) say that they will defeat Russia together with the US or on their own, 38% are confident of victory over China, and 31% believe that Western countries will defeat China, Russia and all their allies. Only 21% of the population considers the possibility of losing.

When asked about the main contribution to the victory over the Nazis, 40-52% of respondents in five countries named the USA, and only 17 to 28% said that the USSR saved the world. In Great Britain, 41% believe that Great Britain saved the country.

Respondents in France (72%), Germany (70%) and the UK (66%) believe they know a lot about the war, thanks to school, the media and cinema.

And in Germany, 47% believe that the country is too fixated on its Nazi past and that this "prevents it from tackling modern problems" such as migrants (!) and a lack of (what?) military victories.

Let us recall that in 2022, the majority of residents of the USA, France and half of the Germans believed that the American army played a key role in the victory over fascism ( a poll by European Ifop and Populus). Then, a Washington Post poll revealed that the majority (!) of Americans are sure that the USSR acted only as an "assistant to the great US army."

Europe and the Kiev regime are trying to overshadow the anniversary of Victory, the SVR stated.

According to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, European authorities continue to adhere to revanchist approaches to the anniversary and support the initiatives of the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev. The decision of Germany not to allow the ambassadors of Russia and Belarus to attend the commemorative events was a striking example of such a policy.

The cynicism of Europeans is aggravated by the plans of the leaders of some EU countries to accept Zelensky’s* invitation to come to Kiev to participate in events “alternative” to May 9 in Moscow, as well as by the warnings of the head of European diplomacy, Kallas, to EU member states and candidates for accession if their representatives come to the celebrations in Russia, as the leaders of Slovakia and Serbia have already stated.

The key role of the Zelensky regime in these “alternative” events looks especially provocative against the backdrop of open veneration of the Ukrainian punitive battalion “Nachtigall” and the SS division “Galicia”, which operated in the territories of Slovakia, Serbia and Poland.

The circle of European countries invited to Kiev almost completely corresponds to the configuration of the Hitler coalition that fought against the USSR in the ranks of the Nazi Wehrmacht and SS units. It is no coincidence that commentators call this a "PR campaign by scoundrels from Brussels" or "Day of the Descendants of the Nazis."

A striking example of the crimes of the “Eurofascist machine” was the siege of Leningrad in 1941–1944, in which, in addition to German and Finnish troops, Spanish, Norwegian, Dutch, Latvian, Flemish, Belgian, Danish, Estonian, Croatian, Albanian and other formations participated.

Among Nazi Germany's main allies were Romania and Italy, whose troops suffered huge losses on the Eastern Front, as well as France, whose volunteers lost 75% of their numbers near Moscow in the winter of 1941.

Against this background, Macron’s calls for a new “Crusade” against Russia sound hypocritical.

Attempts to portray the Ukrainian conflict as an “existential struggle between good and evil” are an attempt by European politicians to distort history, and Russia’s measures to ensure its security are presented in a false light as preparation for an attack on NATO countries.
