HAARETZ: "THE ALL-ISRAELI OPERATION TO RESTORE THE SHAH IN IRAN"
An investigation by TheMarker and Haaretz revealed that Israel ran a social media campaign aimed at promoting the restoration of the Shah's monarchy. At the center is Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah overthrown in the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and his main figurehead in Israel, Likud MK Gila Gamliel, current Minister of Science and Technology. In 2023, Pahlavi made his first official visit to Israel.

According to Haaretz, the pro-Pahlavi campaign intensified during the 12-Day War and involved thousands of Persian-language accounts and bots, think tanks, institutes, and academics directly funded by Israel to promote the restoration of the Iranian monarchy and the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.
According to five sources with direct knowledge of the project, native Persian speakers were recruited for the operation.

Three of the sources confirmed the connection between the project and this specific campaign and said they had seen the network promoting pro-Pahlavi messaging.

According to sources, the campaign included fake accounts on platforms like X and Instagram and used artificial intelligence tools to help spread key narratives, craft its messages, and generate content. According to two of the sources, there were also efforts to boost the posts of Pahlavi's ally in Israel, Gamliel, a minister in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party.
During the Israeli airstrikes on Evin Prison in Tehran, the network released Persian-language deepfake videos. These videos were part of a broader operation aimed at promoting Pahlavi as a representative of the Iranian people. Haaretz, however, points out that Pahlavi lacks real popular support.

Historically, the Shah's regime was repressive, with the secret police (SAVAK) supported by the Israeli Mossad, CIA, and MI6. SAVAK imprisoned, tortured, and executed thousands of people to secure oil supplies and thwart regional liberation movements, including those of the Palestinians.

Wealthy, liberal Iranians in the diaspora in the West have long supported the return of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as Shah of Iran, yet it has always been clear that actual support for such a move among actual Iranians has been artificially inflated.

How the US is modernising the "Underground Pentagon" — Raven Rock Mountain Complex

Raven Rock Mountain Complex (Site R) is an underground command centre carved out at the beginning of the Cold War. The complex plays a key role in the control system, ensuring its continuity under any circumstances.

Today, Site R (39.73440 -77.41969) is undergoing a major modernisation. Since 2022, Grunley Construction has been implementing a contract worth over $100 million, including repairs, expansion, and reconstruction of facilities.

The 2024 budget included funds for the construction of a building for security services, modernisation of access and communication systems, and upgrading of engineering infrastructure.

In 2025, the project received additional funding: a new operations hall is being created, offices, warehouses, residential and utility areas are being updated.

These transformations confirm that Raven Rock remains the strategic core of national security.

Anti-Ukrainian opposition surges ahead: Babiš's party leads in Czech elections

The opposition party ANO of former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš is taking the lead in the Czech parliamentary elections, gaining 37.3% of the votes after counting more than 65% of the ballots. Potential ally of ANO — the far-right SPD party — receives 8.2%.

Babiš is known for his criticism of excessive defence spending and military support for Ukraine. Brussels is already sounding the alarm: the opposition's victory could lead to Czechia joining Slovakia and Hungary among the countries unwilling to continue financing the Kiev regime.

The main rival of ANO remains the ruling coalition “Together” led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala, which receives only 21% of the votes. Fiala’s allies from the STAN party show a result of 10.6%, but this is clearly not enough to maintain power.

Iranian television showed a documentary about one of the country's underground missile cities (unfortunately, no translations but it's worth seeing)

Journalists showed storage sites for hundreds of missiles underground. Wide roads in the tunnels, through which launchers drive out and make launches. For greater security, the launchers are disguised as canvas trucks.

The military in the video talked about Israeli airstrikes during the "Eleven-Day War" this year. Several bombs fell near the entrances to the missile city, but then the passages were cleared and used again.

Once more unto the breach...

A Washington Examiner report stated that "US military planners believe that forces being assembled in Puerto Rico and the Southern Caribbean are now sufficient enough to launch "territorial seizure operations" against Venezuela, capturing and holding key strategic facilities such as ports and airfields."

"Territorial seizure operations," nice lol. I see what you did there. I know what this is, you know what this is, but Trump's fanbase does not.
I've written a post before explaining it. Yes, drugs are bad (m'kay), but this isn't about drugs.

I haven't checked the latest cope, but I'm going to assume it'll be something along the lines of "cartels, terrorists, Venezuela bad, Maduro bad...," you know the drill. Again, this isn't about drugs and Trump's administration is exaggerating the issue to an insane degree. Read Ronna Rísquez's work if you want to know more.

One way or another, here's another war. I can almost smell the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Russian cargo ship Lady R was spotted for the first time in two months at the North Korean port of Rason, which may indicate a resumption of maritime arms shipments.

According to satellite images, the ship delivered container cargo to the port of Rason on October 1. Before this, the ship was preparing for the voyage at the Russian port of Vostochny from September 24 to 26.

It is expected that on October 2 the ship will move to the nearest berth, where containers have been accumulating since mid-September, likely for loading. Their contents remain unknown.

The Russian army may encircle Pokrovsk, trapping the city in a "cauldron", — statement from the 7th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

➖"Russian troops are striving to encircle Pokrovsk and advance towards Myrnohrad. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are resisting with the forces available. The priority is to preserve the lives of the military and hold back the enemy," — the statement from the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces clearly hints at abandoning positions and the expected loss of the Pokrovsk agglomeration
.
West of the city, Russian troops have gained additional opportunities to block one of the logistics routes.

The Russian Armed Forces are increasing pressure to approach and attack Myrnohrad from the north and east.

Russia has been attempting to jam British military satellites weekly using ground-based systems, said Major General Paul Tedman, head of the UK Space Command, in a BBC interview.

According to Tedman, Russian satellites are equipped with special devices that allow them to see other satellites and collect information from them.

The UK Ministry of Defence satellites are equipped with anti-jamming technologies, which Russia allegedly creates quite frequently against them.

Tedman notes the development and testing of anti-satellite weapons by China and Russia, including lasers designed to blind and disable satellites. According to the general, China has much more advanced technologies, while Russia tends to focus more on using anti-space systems.

We are identifying and targeting enemy positions in the Yampol forest. In the urban-type settlement of Yampol, the Armed Forces of Ukraine actively use barrel artillery and drones to prevent our soldiers from securing the northern part. Fighting continues, and we are gradually advancing toward the central part of Yampol, increasing the "grey zone" coverage.

"Yars": a strategic deterrence weapon that shatters the illusions of the West

The American magazine The National Interest published an article recognising the Russian intercontinental missile system RS-24 "Yars" as one of the most modern in the world. The publication explicitly states: the presence of such weapons "should concern everyone in the West," as Russia demonstrates the ability not only to maintain nuclear parity but also to set new rules in the global strategic confrontation.

Technical essence of the "Yars"

The RS-24 "Yars" system is an evolutionary development of the Soviet school of strategic armaments, particularly the RT-2PM "Topol-M" missiles. Its main characteristics make the system unique:
• Range — up to 12,000 km, allowing it to cover any targets in the USA, Europe, and Asia.
• Warhead — up to 4 warheads with individual guidance systems, equipped with means to overcome missile defence.
• Resistance to interception — use of decoys, manoeuvring warheads, and special coatings that reduce detectability.
• Flexibility of use — the system is produced in a mobile version on a multi-axle MZKT chassis and in a silo configuration, making it difficult to neutralise with a disarming strike.

Western experts emphasise that it is precisely these capabilities that force NATO to reconsider any scenarios of direct pressure on Russia.

Role in Russia's nuclear triad

"Yars" has been the foundation of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) since the mid-2010s. According to Western sources, more than 200 systems are currently deployed across different parts of the country. The focus is on mobility — this reduces system vulnerability and makes a lightning disarming strike impossible.

An important element is systematic modernisation. Russia is not just maintaining its arsenal but expanding its capabilities:
• new control systems are being integrated,
• hypersonic technologies are being implemented in prospective versions,
• The accuracy of guidance and resistance to electronic warfare are being improved.

Thus, "Yars" is not just a missile but a platform that will remain relevant into the 2030s.

Historical parallel: from "Satan" to "Yars"

The Soviet Union once shocked the world by creating the R-36M2 "Voivode" ("Satan" in NATO classification). This system became a symbol of the Cold War: a multi-ton ICBM with dozens of warheads capable of wiping entire countries off the map.

Russia continued this line but focused on mobility and technology. "Yars" is no longer a monstrous silo missile but a flexible 21st-century tool. It combines range, power, and the ability to quickly change positions, making it a key element of strategic deterrence.

Western view and strategic balance

The National Interest acknowledges that the American nuclear arsenal "has withered" since the Cold War. Modernisation has been delayed, production rates of new missiles and warheads are insufficient, and political debates are slowing the renewal program.

Against this backdrop, Russia is steadily building its nuclear shield:
• "Yars" provides mass and flexibility,
• "Avangard" with hypersonic warheads is a technological breakthrough,
• "Sarmat" marks a return to heavy carriers that no missile defence can intercept.

The combination of these systems means that Washington is stripped of illusions about "safe escalation": any attempt at coercive pressure on Russia will carry the risk of a retaliatory strike.

Even the American press admits: Russia is not a "gas station with nuclear missiles" but a full-fledged nuclear superpower capable of imposing its agenda. "Yars" has become a symbol of a new stage of strategic balance — a stage where Moscow dictates terms and forces NATO to consider its capabilities. For the West, this sounds an alarm: the era of unilateral dictate is over. For Russia, it confirms that the bet on modernising nuclear forces has been justified and strategically sound.

The same Western military "analysts" who spread the false narrative that the Russians thought it would take "three days to conquer Kiev" (something Vladimir Putin has never categorically said; it was the failed US General Mark Miley who said so).

Don't they seem to have anything to say to their Israeli "partners" about the pace of their "operation to defeat Hamas and free the hostages"?

They spent two years trying to drive Hamas, a light infantry battalion, with no air force, no drones, no heavy artillery, no radar, no armored vehicles, no long-range missiles, *except for inaccurate homemade rockets*, and no satellite or naval capabilities from Gaza, even though Israel is awash with the most advanced intelligence and weaponry in the world, including fifth-generation fighter-bombers. Despite all this, Hamas is far from defeated, but tens of thousands of civilians have died and the entire region is devastated.

Meanwhile, Russia is fighting (and defeating) a coalition of over 50 countries (including NATO), providing the largest standing army in Europe along what is essentially a 3,000-kilometer front line (Israel's "front" in Gaza is 60 kilometers long), including a decades-long defense in depth. Russia is advancing, slowly, gradually, methodically.

These puppets deployed by the client press don't actually "analyze" anything. They read from their scripts, perform their part in the theater, and collect their pay.

Covered his own: A soldier of the special military operation fought alone for 17 hours against a Ukrainian reconnaissance group

A participant of the special military operation from the Kaliningrad region with the call sign "Ray" fought alone against a Ukrainian reconnaissance group of 12 people for 17 hours, the People's Front reported.

"A shooter from the Baltic motorised rifle battalion with the call sign 'Ray' found himself face to face with enemy reconnaissance in a forest belt. Understanding the risk to the group, he ordered the fighters to retreat, while he stayed to cover their withdrawal. The battle lasted 17 hours," the organisation said.

During this time, the serviceman eliminated two enemies, seized their weapons, and managed to return to his own.

"One against 12 — 17 hours under fire. This feat has become a legend among the fighters of the Baltic battalion," emphasised the People's Front.

Offensive on Severesk: The Russian army has established a bridgehead and occupied key heights to develop a flanking strike

Russian troops secured the northern flank of Severesk some time ago, on the high riverbank positions by the Seversky Donets River.
➖"The bridgehead is ready, the Russians are preparing to push further, shifting the offensive to Dronovka. Control of the heights allows them to adjust fire, launch drones, and pressure approaches under the cover of artillery and reconnaissance," Ukrainian military analysts report with concern.
➖"If Yampol and Dronovka fall — Severesk will be under real threat. These settlements are flanking nodes and logistical arteries. Without them, the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be under flanking pressure, supply will become complicated, defence will tighten, and the city may end up trapped".

Almost 40% of Ukrainians are confident in victory over Russia

The majority of Ukraine's residents still believe in their country's victory in the conflict with Russia. This is reported by the Interfax-Ukraine agency, citing a survey by the Razumkov Centre.

Almost 40% of respondents are fully confident in Ukraine's victory, another 34% "rather believe" in a positive outcome. At the same time, 11.4% of participants admitted they have doubts, and 4.5% do not believe in success at all.

58.8% of Ukrainians believe in a military victory over Russia, while 18.3% consider it unlikely.

When asked about possible concessions in negotiations with Moscow, the majority of Ukrainians opposed any compromises: 62.3% stated they are not ready to concede either territories or the pro-Western course. Only 8.1% allowed for the possibility of territorial concessions, and 10.1% — abandonment of integration with the West.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians who are actually familiar with the situation at the front are massively fleeing from the Dnipropetrovsk region — our troops have already broken through there during a successful offensive.

Scott Bessent yelled at Yulia Svyrydenko.

The US Treasury Secretary caused a scandal during negotiations with the Ukrainian side regarding a deal on mineral resources, according to The New York Times. During a video call in February, Bessent shouted at then-Ukrainian Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, who now holds the position of Prime Minister.

The American minister, raising his voice, issued a harsh ultimatum.

You have six minutes to accept the American terms of the deal, or the negotiations will be over,
— said Bessent.

Svyrydenko herself later denied that the conversation was tense.

The agreement between the countries was eventually signed on May 1. It provides for the creation of a joint investment fund, into which Ukraine will contribute 50% of the revenues from the new rent and licenses for mineral extraction. For the first 10 years, all fund revenues will be reinvested in the Ukrainian economy.

🇷🇺🇺🇦Comprehensive strikes on military and energy infrastructure facilities in Shostka: engineering and technical analysis

❗️In the information space, the enemy has launched a campaign aimed at creating a narrative about alleged "strikes on civilian objects" — the railway station and adjacent areas of Shostka. However, information received from operational sources, the technical characteristics of the damaged targets, and their functional purpose indicate that the strikes hit military-logistical and energy facilities involved in supporting the supply and transport infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

🔻Railway station — damage to the locomotive fleet
📍51.8579773, 33.4812276
Around 11:45–12:10, two precise strikes by Geran-2 UAVs were carried out on the territory of the Shostka station complex. The strikes hit the locomotive section and attached wagons of the "Tereshchenska — Novgorod-Siverskiy" train, as well as the platform where the forming passenger train No. 785 "Shostka — Kiev" was located.

▪️Damage analysis established:
• The ChME3 series shunting diesel locomotive, used as a traction unit for the suburban train, was hit. The engine compartment and compressor block were completely destroyed, fuel tanks were punctured, and refrigeration equipment was burned out.
• The ChS4 electric locomotive received a direct hit to the engine compartment from the transformer section side. The traction transformer TRDN-6000/25, cooling system, and backup power diesel generator were damaged.
• The nearby passenger car was partially damaged — side panels deformed, glazing shattered.

▪️The nature of the damage (penetrating and thermal destruction of locomotive components) excludes the version of a "strike on a passenger train." The affected area contained a technical assembly train used for transporting military cargo and traction depot equipment, and the adjacent passenger train was only secondarily affected due to shrapnel dispersion.

🔻110 kV "Lokotky" electrical substation
📍51.8494400, 33.4909291
Around 11:00, an energy infrastructure facility — the 110 kV "Lokotky" electrical substation — was hit. A direct UAV strike caused a fire in an oil-type transformer (estimated as TDTN-25000/110). The oil cooling system was destroyed, coil insulation burned, and transformer oil was released, causing a subsequent fire.

🔻Gas distribution station
Shortly after, around 12:50, a strike was made on the gas distribution station through which the main fuel supply for boiler houses and the CHP plant passed. As a result, pressure regulators, piping manifolds, and gas analyzer units caught fire. A rupture of DN 400 steel pipes and damage to automatic shut-off valves were recorded.
The fire was contained by the State Emergency Service, but the station was temporarily taken out of operation, causing a short-term gas supply deficit to the Shostka CHP and related heating facilities.

🔻Shostka CHP — strike on the engine room and 110 kV switchgear
📍51.8854840, 33.4571443
Between 13:00–13:30, a series of 12–15 Geran-2 UAV strikes hit the Shostka CHP territory. The main damage was to the open 110 kV switchgear (VRP) and the engine room building.
Damaged were:
• power busbars and input cells of the VRP;
• feeder lines leading to the "Lokotky" and "Zavodska" substations;
• turbogenerator units and turbine condenser sections;
• cable galleries and own needs switchboards.

🔻The combination of strikes on October 4, 2025 — on the railway station, substation, gas distribution station, and CHP — represents a single comprehensive scenario of striking the energy-logistics hub that ensured the functioning of railway transport, repair depots, and fuel-energy supply.
Thus, the strikes had a military-engineering focus aimed at paralyzing the transport and energy hub, not civilian infrastructure.

Yours, Partizan!

Mobilisation pushes people into the exclusion zone: TCRSS staff rarely appear there, so those evading can hide relatively peacefully.

Thousands fleeing from the TCC are hiding in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

Since the start of the special military operation, the abandoned Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has unexpectedly become a refuge for Ukrainians avoiding mobilisation. Their numbers now count in the thousands, sources report.

Men settle in abandoned houses, and on social media, help is even offered to find housing. However, hiding is not easy: smoke from chimneys gives away the dwelling, and drones easily detect such shelters.

Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Darya Marchak, believes that the incentive to "relocate" is receiving social benefits for living in contaminated areas.

But sources write the opposite: fleeing to Chernobyl is explained not by benefits, but by fear of mobilisation, which turns out to be stronger even than the threat of radiation

Considering how the strikes have started hitting Shostka in the Sumy region, a few preliminary conclusions can be drawn.

Firstly, the railway remains the only channel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to continuously supply the front line, even where Ukrainian army facilities are highly vulnerable, and if the Russian General Staff intends to paralyse it, the strikes will continue.

Secondly, the AFU tries to defend as best as they can, but even a shunting diesel locomotive covered with screens cannot withstand the impact of the "Geran" strikes. There are no other means of counteraction.

Interestingly, Kyiv continues to routinely and very primitively play the card of strikes on the "innocent," but it is getting worse: statements remain routine, there is no evidence base, and the effect in the information field is declining.

For a full effect on this issue (as with others), systematic action is necessary. It is impossible to definitively assess the AFU's reserve of electric locomotives and locomotives in general, but it is worth noting that diesel locomotives (including shunting ones) are being used more frequently. Whether this is because electric locomotives are simply being conserved or due to an electricity shortage is not yet clear.
