The UN Security Council on Thursday condemned recent airstrikes on Qatar's capital Doha, without mentioning Israel, Radio Liberty reports.
The statement was agreed upon by all 15 members of the Council, including Israel's ally - the United States.
"Council members emphasized the importance of de-escalation and expressed solidarity with Qatar. They declared their support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar," the statement said, the text of which was prepared by the United Kingdom and France.
The text also notes that the release of hostages, including the bodies of Hamas's killed captives, as well as the end of the war and suffering in the Gaza Strip, must remain the UN's top priority.

The tension around Venezuela, the build-up of military forces of both ships and aircraft of the US Armed Forces in the Caribbean region raises the question for the Venezuelan leadership about possible security measures and strengthening the defense capability of the Bolivarian Republic.
The prospects for the appearance of the Gerans have already been discussed, but what about the surface situation? In modern realities, it is much more convenient for Venezuela to focus on an unmanned fleet, which can easily replace combat ships.
There are not many suppliers of such products in the world. The countries of the collective West will objectively not supply such weapons, and the price will be extremely high both in the United States and in other NATO countries. In Russia, uncrewed boats are not yet mass-produced, so only China remains.

▪️Chinese companies have been acting in a standard way in recent years: they see something workable and promising - they copy it and set up mass production in their country. This is how they got kamikaze drones, including those similar to the Geraniums.
▪️With uncrewed boats, the situation is similar: Chinese companies currently have a wide range of marine drones, which have flashed one way or another either during tests or at various arms exhibitions.
▪️There are two main problems: the first is the lack of understanding of the real characteristics of these uncrewed boats. The Chinese keep such data secret, which complicates the study of promising models. Secondly, the Chinese have no real combat use of such systems.
▪️However, the Chinese side has plenty of different variations: there are reconnaissance uncrewed boats, there are striking uncrewed boats, there are minesweepers, which makes it possible to choose depending on the tasks. This is what the Venezuelan government needs.

11.09.2025 around 01:50 a Russian strike UAV "Geran-2" hit a private sector in the urban-type settlement Bilbasovka near Slavyansk. In reality, this was not a residential development, but a carefully disguised deployment node of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard "Azov".

🔻As a result of a direct hit, the property at house No. 5 was completely destroyed, where the command post and temporary personnel deployment were located. The nearby house No. 3 was partially destroyed, and adjacent buildings (No. 1, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) sustained damage to windows, facades, and roofs. Three vehicles were destroyed on the site, and another was damaged.
🔻According to received data, the facility was used as a communication and drone system maintenance node. As a result of the strike, the following were destroyed/damaged:
• stationary and portable radios Motorola DP4801e, Harris Falcon III, repeater Motorola SLR 5500;
• power system based on generators Honda EU22i, Fogo FH 7000 and UPS racks Eaton 9PX;
• FPV drone charging stations (ISDT / SkyRC), sets of LiPo and Li-ion batteries, surviving fragments of antenna panels Ubiquiti RocketDish;
• thermal imagers Pulsar Helion 2 XP50, night vision devices PVS-14, as well as components of FPV drone mounted equipment.
- Confirmed data indicates three servicemen were killed, one seriously wounded. No civilian casualties.

Russia Finance Minister Anton Siluanov says SCO states will set up a new Development Bank with its own depository to replace the EU-based Euroclear & Clearstream.
Driven by Russia and China, the plan is a direct challenge to the Western financial system in reaction to nearly $300B in Russian funds being frozen by Western institutions. Both understand the need for a non-western payment system and depository to be established in light of the continuing weaponization of such institutions.
Moscow and Beijing have already agreed to discuss all these aspects in more detail at the upcoming meeting of the Russian-Chinese financial dialogue this fall, Siluanov told Izvestia.

Britain has dismissed its ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, due to his connection with the sex offender Epstein, reports Sky News.
"Mandelson's emails show that the depth and extent of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein are significantly different from what was known at the time of his appointment," said Foreign Secretary Stephen Doughty in the House of Commons.
One of the key points was "Mandelson's assumption that Jeffrey Epstein's first conviction was wrongful and should be challenged."

Japan as America’s best friend in Asia, hoping it could secure zero tariffs before being made to feel grateful it was only hit with a 15% levy. The glint of gaslight was in Lutnick’s eye when he described this unprecedented handicapping of free trade as “tremendously beneficial to Japan”.
But the real crux of the deal was Japan’s $550bn investment commitment to “advance economic and security interests in the US”. Japan has agreed to disburse this by January 19 2029 — notionally the final day of Trump’s presidency. The import of the deal is immense, but the publicly available information on key elements is sparse.
Such details as there are have been set out in a seven-page, grammatically faltering memorandum of understanding between the US and Japan — a document seen by the Financial Times but which US government officials, astonishingly, say is only available to a handful of people in both the state and commerce departments. Japan requested something in writing, and this is what the small cabal around Lutnick appears to have come up with.
The MOU sets out an arrangement which, on one reading, reeks of coercion: a sovereign nation forced to funnel private and public-sector investment to a much richer one under a structure unashamedly directed by the US president.
Once Japan recoups its investment, it then reaps only 10% of the cash flows from the project, to America’s 90%. Yes, Japan has nominal input via a consultative committee into which projects are chosen, but there are no Japanese on the more powerful investment committee and it’s Trump who makes the ultimate call. Yes, Japan can elect not to fund an investment, but if it does so the US may impose new tariffs on Japan “at the rate determined by the President”.
A gloating Lutnick, appearing separately on CNBC, denied Japan even the right to make that case at home. Japan, he said, had sought to “buy down” its tariff rate with a deal that he described as “off the rails” and the most fun he had working for this president. Trump, he said, had “complete discretion” over Japan’s investments and would decide where and how he wanted Japanese capital spent in America.
But the precise contents are arguably less momentous than the nature of the document itself. The point is that its one-sidedness, continued unpublished life in the shadows and the widely variable interpretations this allows represent a miserable charter of what it means to be friends with the US in 2025.
