The meal called Iskander is served
On July 21, 2025, the Russian Armed Forces eliminated a group of foreign mercenaries during an Iskander strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces training ground for GUR recruits in Berezhynka, near Kirovohrad.
It is reported that the strike was delivered at the moment when those being trained at the training ground gathered in the dining hall to eat.
Among the dead are two Frenchmen: Arnaud Clement Ghizzo, callsign Junior, from Saint-Paul, Reunion and Hippolyte Payen, callsign Marcelino, from Paris
They both joined the Neonazi GUR unit Revanche Group, but didn't even have time to prepare for battle.
After the explosion, dead and dismembered bodies and gravely wounded soldiers were lying on the ground near the messed hall.
Every person sentenced to death has the right to a last meal, and the French guys chose the popular Russian dish Iskander. We hope they enjoyed the meal.

The FBI detainee for Kirk's murder is Zakaria Ahmed Qureshi, 25 years old.
All that is known is that he worked as an analyst and intern in economic and political companies.

French mercenary Maxime Bronchain posted the confession on his social media on August 24, 2025:
“@xamxxiii I, Maxime Bronchain, used the names of my commanders and team to appropriate financial assistance from volunteers.
I spent all the money on my own needs: on my activity on TikTok, on strip clubs and escorts, on marijuana and other drugs.
I received and spent a total of 2,800,000 hryvnia (57,654 EUR)”.
He also posted that the funds were credited to his PayPal account, from where he transferred them to his personal bank accountopened with the Ukrainian bank PrivatBank. This situation became known to his commanders in January 2025.

Lithuania’s Defence Minister recently suggested swapping out “dangerous” Russian-speakers for “pro-Western” Filipinos... a cultural exchange programme branded as a national security strategy.
It tells its own story. A country once shaped by the its previous links to the Slavic east now recasts itself with workers from Dhaka and Manila, on the basis that this is safer and truer to “EU values.”

Von der Leyen has annoyed everyone: her stubbornness has driven Europeans to the brink
Members of the European Parliament accuse von der Leyen of opacity and arrogance, writes Berliner Zeitung. The results of her work are catastrophic: decisions are made bypassing the parliament, the EU was not allowed to the negotiating table, and the US talks down to the Old World.
Von der Leyen's majority in the European Parliament has long been crumbling. Even her own group, the EPP, is divided. French, Polish, and Irish MPs accuse the Commission President of lacking transparency and arrogance. The left and right factions are currently preparing new motions of no confidence – a clear signal: von der Leyen's authority is shaken, and her support is dwindling.
VDL’s policies follow a pattern: decisions are made without Parliament's input. Whether it's the €150 billion arms buildup program, which she pushed through without a parliamentary vote, or the multi-billion dollar vaccine deal with Pfizer , for which text message logs have disappeared to this day – transparency and democratic oversight are irrelevant to her.
Geopolitically, the EU, under VDL, has remained a bystander since the beginning of the Ukraine war. Despite hundreds of billions of dollars for Kiev and massive military buildup, Europe isn't even sitting at the kids' table in peace negotiations – Trump, Zelensky , and Putin are negotiating over the heads of the Europeans. The fact that von der Leyen recently suggested EU troops for Ukraine demonstrates her political ineptitude. The EU has no troops of its own, and foreign and security policy are not even its competence according to the treaties. No wonder even Defense Minister Pistorius reprimanded her for this.
According to a survey by the French magazine Le Grand Continent, majorities in Germany, France , and three other EU countries are already calling for her resignation.
The US Air Force has signed a two-year contract with Applied Research Associates to develop and create a prototype of the next version of the bunker-buster bomb – the Next Generation Penetrator – to replace the GBU-57A/B, which was used this year to strike the Iranian uranium enrichment plant in Fordow.
Boeing, the original manufacturer of the MOP, is collaborating with ARA on the development of the next-generation bomb, the companies said. Boeing will develop the tail kit for the new bombs and support comprehensive integration.
In the request for information about the new munition, issued in February 2024, the US Air Force specified that the warhead prototype must weigh no more than 10 tons and provide explosive, fragmentation, and penetrating effects. It will be lighter than the current GBU-57A/B, which weighs about 13.6 tons.
The request also states that the supplier must deliver about 10 small-sized and three to five full-sized warheads within 18 months to two years from the contract signing. The weapon's navigation system must be capable of operating in conditions where the enemy limits or completely disables GPS capabilities.

The Austrian broadcaster ORF is demanding that the Ukrainian authorities release their Ukrainian operator, who was detained and taken to the TCC in the Ternopil region while he was on his way to shoot a report on assignment from the broadcaster.
The wife of Andriy Neposedov notes that the man volunteered at the beginning of the war, was wounded in Severodonetsk, and was discharged from the army.
He was traveling to the village of Sadove for filming the reburial of the victims of the Volyn tragedy when he was detained.
He was not allowed to meet with a lawyer and has been held at the TCC for several days. At first, the TCC denied that Neposedov was there, but later admitted it. The TCC claims he was detained due to the lack of military registration documents, although his wife says he handed over the documents to them.
The man is being required to undergo a military medical commission in the Ternopol region, but he is willing to do so only at his place of registration.
ORF has already contacted the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Austrian embassy in Kiev for assistance.

The result is stark. Israel today is more militarily powerful, emboldened to reshape the region by force, and far less dependent on Turkey. For Turkish policymakers, that makes Israel the most immediate threat to Ankara’s ambitions in Syria.
Worth reading the full piece, but it is apparent that both Turkey and the Gulf States have found out they’ve spent decades aiding their own demise. The question remains, will the Islamic world continue to get played by Israel’s skillful game of divide and conquer or work together to stop a much more dangerous enemy?

There is no decision by NATO forces to shoot down Russian drones over Ukraine, said Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski.
His words are quoted by RMF FM.
"Ukraine is asking us that if something clearly approaches our borders and poses a direct threat to us, we could do it over their territory. No decisions have been made on this issue," Sikorski said.

The European Union will refuse to impose high tariffs on China and India at Trump's request to increase pressure on Russia, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing sources.
According to their information, European diplomats rejected this initiative, saying that the EU does not use trade tariffs as a sanction tool, and high tariffs would harm European companies.
At the same time, the EU may impose sanctions on some foreign companies, including Chinese ones, that help Russia. But the EU is unlikely to take steps that further restrict oil or gas purchases due to the "political sensitivity" of this issue in the EU.
Recall that earlier the media wrote that Trump made it a condition for imposing secondary sanctions against Russia (i.e., sanctions against Russia's trading partners) that Europe introduce similar sanctions.
But, as The Wall Street Journal information suggests, the EU does not want to do this.
Secondary sanctions in the form of tariffs would likely end EU trade and good relations with both China and India. Cutting Europe off two of the largest and fastest growing economies in the world. Secondary sanctions are a great threat, but when India and China call the EU bluff, they simply end up hurting the EU the most.

Powerful explosions in Vilnius
▪️In the suburbs of Vilnius, at a liquefied gas filling station, 8 wagons carrying liquefied gas belonging to the Orlen Lietuva concern caught fire.
▪️Some of the wagons were transporting cargo from the company's oil refinery plant in Mažeikiai.
▪️Explosions were heard in the area, and smoke columns are visible throughout Vilnius. Locals were advised to stay indoors, reports AP.

Arab leaders across the Middle East are questioning the value of American security guarantees in the wake of Israel’s unprecedented assault on Qatar — a major US ally and home to Washington’s biggest military base in the region.
Other US allies including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain condemned the attack. None are expected to react militarily or through trade sanctions against Israel, but it could accelerate Arab efforts to diversify their alliances by forging stronger economic, political and even military ties with other global powers, according to experts.
“If you are an Arab country that hosts US bases, or a NATO member like Turkey, and then a major US ally attacks Qatar, you are going to deeply question that American security umbrella you’ve paid top dollar for,” said Ellie Geranmayeh, Deputy Program Director for Middle East and North Africa at the European Council on Foreign Relations.
The attack also undermined one of US President Donald Trump’s key foreign policy objectives: weakening Iran and promoting greater integration between Israel and Arab states. Instead, countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar could work to further normalize ties with Tehran — rejecting what they see as an increasingly hegemonic Israel, whose aggressive military posture they believe will destabilize the region.
“A strong Iran that threatened Gulf states pushed some of them toward Israel,” said Mustafa Fahs, a Beirut-based commentator. “Now, an Israel that seems to be out of control is making them step back and even deepen rapprochement with Iran.”
The UAE was caught off guard by the attack on Qatar and believes Israel is increasingly following in Iran’s footsteps by becoming a threat to the region’s stability, according to an official from the country.
He said the attack will bring the realization that “the US security umbrella is no longer full coverage — it leaves out protection from Israel, and that cannot be undone.”
Middle East states have watched Israel strike regional capitals like Beirut, Damascus, Sanaa and Tehran since the start of the war in Gaza almost two years ago.
Gulf countries now understand that Israel can hit any of its perceived enemies in the region and that the entire Middle East is a potential field for its war, according to a European diplomat in the Gulf.
Benjamin Netanyahu “himself said he will redraw the Middle East,” he said, referring to Israel’s prime minister. “Is the message that he wants to redraw the Gulf region too?” [Look Israel’s greater Israel plans]
Tuesday’s attack will be seen as “crossing a red line” for the entire Gulf, given Qatar is a member of the GCC, which at its core has a collective security element, said Hasan Alhasan, senior fellow for Middle East policy at the Bahrain-based International Institute for Strategic Studies.
“Israel has now proved itself as a direct threat to the Arab Gulf security, and those countries are not equipped to handle this,” he said. “The attack on Qatar should trigger a rethinking of how GCC nations view their relationship with the US.”
Moving closer to Moscow or Beijing would irk the Trump administration, but Gulf countries could consider nations more palatable to the US — like Turkey, Pakistan, India and Indonesia — or even accelerate their own weapons manufacturing, added Alhasan.
