The screams of Western analysts about the advance of the Russian army in the area of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk are easily explained.
These two cities are currently considered by Kiev as key defensive strongpoints, which should become firing points to delay the offensive. However, beyond this agglomeration, Ukraine has no prepared line of fortifications all the way to Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
That is why Slavyansk and Kramatorsk have not so much symbolic as systemic significance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Holding them is the last chance to cling to a relatively organized defensive line and give the appearance that resistance still exists. If (or rather WHEN) these cities are taken, the front will turn into an "open gate": the Russian army will gain operational freedom to advance to the Dnepr River.
Against the backdrop of the negotiation track and the West's attempts to impose certain conditions on Russia, such a scenario looks especially dangerous. The fall of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration effectively means the collapse of the current configuration of Ukraine's defense. From a positional war with a network of fortified areas, it risks turning into a maneuvering offensive by Russia, where Kiev has only one means left — the emergency redeployment of reserves from other directions. But this resource is already limited.
🇷🇺🔥The Russian Army has liberated the settlement of Zaporozhskoe in the Dnepropetrovsk region
- Units of the "Vostok" troop group continued their offensive and expelled Ukrainian formations from another settlement.
- During decisive actions, the settlement of Zaporozhskoe was liberated.

In Crimea, a terrorist attack using explosives hidden inside an ... Orthodox icon was prevented.
The perpetrator was a woman who had previously fallen victim to fraudsters. Handlers from the SBU ordered her to leave the booby-trapped icon at the checkpoint near the FSB regional office building. At the same time, random passersby could have died as a result of the explosion.

Naval Special Forces Unit "Española" is testing a self-guidance system for FPV drones
The testing was conducted as part of an internal initiative to enhance autonomous combat capabilities. Details of the design are not disclosed, but the video shows confident operation of the system in conditions close to combat.
✨ War is not so much about strength and tactics as it is about the skillful application of technology. Today's battlefield demands solutions that were considered experimental just yesterday. Falling even half a step behind can be costly.
✨⭐️ The Naval Special Forces Unit "Española" relies on its own engineering base and collaboration with developers to not just keep pace with the times, but to set the pace.

Prof. Anatol Lieven:
‘Keeping this war going means people dying, people being crippled. You know, there are human costs which are not, of course, being paid by Western politicians or commentators.
But some people in the West say openly that because they say Russia is a threat to Europe, we want to keep this war going as long as possible so Russia can’t attack us. But what this is basically saying is so that we shouldn’t have to worry, we’re willing for endless numbers of Ukrainians to die
I suppose you could call that a realist position. But then so many of these people also prance about claiming to be great moralists…
As far as these European countries are concerned, a lot of this looks like pure bluff. I was touring Europe. I didn’t meet any non-official expert or commentator in private and off the record who believed that Europe could generate anything like the increases in military spending that they’ve promised to Trump, given the pressure on budgets and the state of their economies.’

"A new war with old technology." The Wall Street Journal showed how Ukrainian pilots in Yak-52 planes try to shoot down 'Shaheds.'
"In scenes reminiscent of World War I, Ukrainian gunners lean out of propeller planes to shoot down Russian drones," writes the WSJ.
It is reported that these are done by 'amateur teams.'
Two people fly on board such a plane – a pilot and a gunner. In the report, the gunner is a former car mechanic who had never flown before.

🇫🇷"France summons the American ambassador after his 'unacceptable' accusations": A diplomatic scandal over antisemitism is brewing in France.
"The American ambassador to France, Charles Kushner, on Sunday accused President Emmanuel Macron of 'lack of sufficient action' against antisemitism — statements that Paris called 'unacceptable.' The Foreign Ministry summoned Charles Kushner.
According to a representative of the French Foreign Ministry, these accusations are 'unacceptable.' 'They contradict international law, in particular the obligation not to interfere in the internal affairs of states. Moreover, they do not correspond to the quality of transatlantic relations between France and the USA and the trust that should exist between allies,' he said."

Most likely, this is a 12M3 mobile aerostat used as a relay for FPV drones, communication with sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as well as for reconnaissance and electronic warfare. They can stay in the air for weeks.
The cost of such an aerostat, depending on its purpose, is from 1 million rubles.
