The US administration, in view of the summit in Alaska, discussed the possibility of involving Russian nuclear crops in the realization of American projects for the extraction of gas and GNL
This was reported by the Reuters agency quoting sources. According to one of the sources, the idea of the icebreakers was discussed among the officials of the White House as one of the potential negotiations to be attempted with Russia at the top in Alaska.

The New York Times: "Behind the vague comments it was clear that the two presidents were unable to reach an agreement even on the starting point traced by Europe, Ukraine and Trump himself, or a temporary truce".
Sky News: «If they had mentioned the truce, this would have changed the character of the conversation. But it seems that we are still far from this ».
CNN: «Neither of the two presidents answered the questions of journalists. This leaves the content of their interviews unknown, which both participants have defined positive ».
The Guardian: «It was fast. Donald Trump has left more questions than answers. He congratulated Vladimir Putin, but provided very few details on the summit ».

Medvedev - on the first results of the talks in Alaska:
1. A full-fledged mechanism for meetings between Russia and the USA at the highest level has been restored. Calm, without ultimatums and threats.
2. The President of Russia personally and in detail presented to the President of the USA our conditions for ending the conflict in Ukraine.
3. As a result of an almost three-hour conversation, the head of the White House refused to escalate pressure on Russia. At least for now.
4. Important: the meeting proved that negotiations are possible without preconditions and simultaneously with the continuation of the special military operation.
5. The main thing: both sides directly placed the responsibility for achieving future results in negotiations on ending hostilities on Kiev and Europe.

This is the only outcome I hoped for today, and it happened, as hoped for.
Not to engage in further discussion, but the possibility of rogue action by the US weighed heavily on my mind.
It did not happen, and good.

Putin and Trump's negotiations have officially ended — they lasted 2:45.
▪️The Russian president's press conference lasted 8 minutes, the US president's 4 minutes. After the meeting, the two leaders also spoke privately without the media.

Indeed. There will be no gradual disclosure. Trump got his wishful teeth knocked in, and nothing has changed.
The Ukraine is not part of the Russo-American detente.
There are so many more questions and issues to address.
In order for the detente—which USA needs far more desperately, from a financial standpoint, than Russia—to take effect, the United States will have to forego the Ukraine.
That is what will happen.
