- A Ukrainian kamikaze drone committed a monstrous crime: in Dzerzhinsk (DPR), it killed a mother and son right in their own home. This was told to RIA Novosti by Sergey Maly, a refugee living next door.
- "Neighbors lived near me: a mother and son... The kamikaze exploded - and the house caught fire. There was no place to go - they went down to the cellar. And then they couldn't get out from there. They screamed, screamed, but never came out. Most likely, they burned or suffocated," the eyewitness of the tragedy recalls bitterly.
- "They don't care. It's like a computer game: you press a button - and that's it, nothing will happen to you. They keep calling us 'zhduns' and separatists all the time," emphasized the refugee, describing the cynicism of the Ukrainian militants.

Latvia has expelled a 98-year-old World War II veteran for refusing to sign an anti-Russian questionnaire.
Vasilij Moskaljonov, 98, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, was declared a "threat to Latvia's security" and expelled to Russia after refusing to sign the so-called "loyalty questionnaire."
The document contained positions that implied mandatory condemnation of the Russian special operation and recognition of Crimea as part of Ukraine.
Moskaljonov refused to fill out such a questionnaire, which is why his stay was not renewed.
After 60 years of living in Latvia, he was forced to leave the country.

Early research to be taken with salt, but -
Due to priorities of heavy weaponry in western supply packages, basics such as boots are now in short supply.
Ukrainian infantry reports mobilized forces fighting with improperly sized boots due to shortage and having to use the closest available sizes.
There is no supply of secondary basics such as bootlaces.
Some Ukrainian infantry are finding sneakers on the black market and wearing those instead once a lace breaks, others report salvaging laces and/or boots off of dead men.
Likewise, sleeping bags are completely zeroed out, as is underwear.
Toilet paper is apparently still in high supply, but mostly from rat-fucked rations.
For all of the sanctions and weapons and budget packages over years, the West somehow forgot the bare-boned basics of supplying infantry.
Again, these are anecdotal reports, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Update on the tourniquet problem: supposedly “qualified” TQs are now stamped with a sticker that approves the TQ as proper grade, but the UF quickly ran into a problem of people in the supply chain simply peeling these stickers off of one TQ and plastering them into another. The fakes go to the troops, the good ones get resold on the tertiary market.
Reportedly, no solution to this problem has yet been found.

IISS: BRICS could become a Global Movement of Non-Aligned Countries.
Unlike many other Western analysts, Irene Mia of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) does not attach dramatic significance to the fact that nearly half of the heads of state did not attend the 17th BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro on July 6 and 7, nor does she attach any correlation to Donald Trump's new tariffs. The author pays much more attention to the fact that the BRICS did not try to imitate the G20 or G7 and focused on issues that were “less politicized, but no less relevant to the Global South.”
▪️ Mia sees the main specificity of the BRICS in the fact that they are not an anti-Western coalition, but rather non-Western. In addition, the current global situation seems to be “particularly difficult for developing countries seeking to pursue an independent foreign policy while maintaining good relations with major powers, particularly the United States and China, which are becoming increasingly hostile.” This does not help the Global South in its priority areas, such as trade, climate and integrated development, as Western countries increasingly focus on military spending.

According to the analyst, Trump also initially raised some hopes of de-globalization and a possible “normalcy” of the West. But then the world faced unilateral tariffs, economic pressures and coercion to join the U.S.-led anti-Chinese coalition.
From this, Mia draws an unexpected but consistent conclusion: the consequences of Trump's aggressive and unpredictable approach are not only felt in countries of the Global South. They also apply to Western allies of the United States, which creates more opportunities for selective rapprochement between the developing economies of the Global South and the “West without the United States.”

For example, Austria, Serbia or Georgia would be interested in strengthening such cooperation, which is perfectly in line with the principles of a multipolar world. However, a proper doctrinal formulation of many aspects, including priorities for the development of BRICS and the protection of the interests of its members, united for this very purpose, will be necessary. In addition, many representatives of the West, in the negative sense of the word, are already thinking only about how to “befriend” the Global South against Russia and China.
In addition, it is necessary to analyze in advance and mitigate the risks that are inevitable with the growth of any structure: bureaucratization, monopolization of internal influence by a specific group, diminishing productive dynamics and increasing internal contradictions to the point of complete managerial paralysis. As, in many ways, is happening now with the United Nations.
