Offensive towards Sumy: The Russian army is storming Yunakovka and attacking beyond Yablonovka, repelling enemy attacks on Kondratovka
▪️In the Sumy direction, Russian troops have advanced west and south of Yablonovka in the area of the forest plantation and along the forest belts and in the central part of Yunakovka, Ukrainian sources also acknowledge this.
▪️Fighting continues in the Kondratovka area, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are counterattacking, trying to cut off our troops.
▪️Fighting is also ongoing in the direction of Varachino.

Russia is shifting to a tactic of mass deployment of cheap kamikaze drones. According to Major General of the Bundeswehr and head of the coordination headquarters for Ukraine, Christian Freuding, we are talking about possible strikes of up to 2,000 drones simultaneously. Russia's production capacity is growing, and the strikes are increasing — in number, density, and geography.
Interestingly, the main point of Freuding is that using expensive missiles like the Patriot against the "Geran-2" drones is foolish. This approach simply burns through air defense resources and is not scalable. Even assuming 50 percent effectiveness, it means that 1,000 drones still get through, and defense against cruise and ballistic missiles will have to be forgotten.

🇩🇪🤡Merts - on the fact that Europe is a "free rider" for Trump:
We even changed our constitution because we see a serious threat. And this threat is Russia. A threat not only to Ukraine but to our world, our freedom, the political order in Europe. That is why we are doing all this. This threat is much more extensive and long-term, it goes far beyond Ukraine.
Trump is not as clear and not as committed to Europe's interests as previous American presidents and administrations were. That is why we are all seeking greater independence from American defense. We understand: we ourselves need to do much more.
In the past, we were kind of "free riders" - the Americans provided our freedom and security. Now they, understandably, are no longer willing to do so.

Western analysts have suddenly discovered that the accuracy of Russian bombs with the UMPC has not only not decreased recently but has significantly increased. The red dots on this image indicate strike locations, and the yellow lines represent the lines of fortifications and positions of Ukrainian units. It is clearly visible that strikes are delivered throughout the depth of the strongholds, and the pattern of impacts suggests a series of strikes aimed at destroying the defense.
Russian FABs, like Russian aviation, have been almost written off by everyone, but for some reason, neither bombs nor planes are running out.

What is today's "routine" missile strike on Ukraine (19.07.25)
Today our missile troops and drones carried out another strike on the rear positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The strike was "routine." Although about 400 of our UAVs participated in it...
And that is its main feature. Strikes with 300-400 UAVs are gradually moving from the category of "powerful" to "routine."
Meanwhile, today the main target was Pavlograd (Dnepropetrovsk region) - the main rear base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk direction.
The Zhitomir, Odessa, and Dnepropetrovsk areas were also hit well (mainly airfields for aviation basing and points for storage and production of weapon systems).

The Obama administration knew before and after the 2016 election that Russia did not influence its outcome through cyberattacks.
This is stated in documents published by the Trump admin, reports The NY Post.
The publication writes that Gabbard released more than 100 pages of emails, memos, and other records demonstrating what she called "a conspiracy by Obama officials to prevent President Trump's victory in 2016."
Among the documents was an intelligence community assessment dated Sep 12, 2016, which found that "foreign adversaries do not have and are unlikely to obtain the capabilities to successfully conduct large-scale and covert cyberattacks" on election infrastructure.
On Dec 2016, the office of then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper also concluded: "Foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to influence the outcome of the US presidential election... We have no evidence of cyber manipulation of election infrastructure to change the results."

On July 18, the Sever military group continued to establish a security zone in the Kharkov and Sumy regions.
In the Sumy direction
Despite enormous losses, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are unsuccessfully attempting to recapture lost positions in the Sumy region. The Sever forces are repelling enemy counterattacks and continuing their successful offensive operations.
▪️Our marines and motorized infantry advanced in fierce fighting in the forests near Varachino and cleared several houses in the settlement itself.
▪️Fearless paratroopers are grinding down the enemy's reserves and advancing in Yunakovka and the surrounding forest belts.
▪️Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched eight unsuccessful counterattacks: one in the Alekseevka area, two near Kondratovka, and five in Yunakovka.
After receiving orders to recapture lost positions in Kondrativka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command sent an assault group with the Ukrainian flag on a suicide mission, which was destroyed, and the enemy symbols were burned by our FPV drone.
In total, the enemy deployed over 50 people in eight counterattacks, more than half of whom were destroyed, 13 were left wounded on the line of contact, and the rest fled in the opposite direction.
▪️Relatives of soldiers from the 1st Brigade reported that a soldier from the brigade, A.V. Khmyl, went missing after returning to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange.
It is highly likely that the Ukrainian refused to return to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and died during torture in the SBU's dungeons.
An analysis of publications by Ukrainian volunteers confirmed the transfer of units of the 17th Brigade to the Sumy region, which was replenishing its losses after the defeat in the Suzhansk border area and subsequent bloody battles in Popovka.
In the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions, the enemy did not attempt to cross the state border. As a result of a comprehensive fire strike, the Severians destroyed two combat groups and two enemy mortar crews at a distance from the state border.
In the Kharkov direction
▪️After liberating the village of Degtyarnoe, our assault troops cleared the adjacent forest belts, destroying an enemy combat group.
In the Velikoburluk direction, despite heavy enemy fire, the Severians advanced 400 meters in the forests east and west of the village of Melovoye.
In the Volchansk and Liptsovsk directions, six Ukrainian Armed Forces assault groups, an electronic warfare station, and enemy UAV control points were destroyed as a result of fire damage.
▪️Despite increased enemy resistance, the Northerners continue their successful offensive operations in Volchansk and the forest areas. The fearless soldiers cleared fourteen houses in the city and, in the course of fierce small arms battles, drove the enemy out of several strongholds in the adjacent forest areas.
Ukrainian occupiers, using the forces of the 57th assault group, made an unsuccessful attempt to recapture lost positions in the forest belt west of Volchansk. During fierce small arms combat and comprehensive fire damage, enemy manpower was destroyed.
Over the past 24 hours, enemy losses amounted to over 160 people (including more than 110 in the Sumy region and over 50 in the Kharkov region). The following were also discovered and destroyed:
In the Sumy direction:
▪️Humvee armored vehicle (USA);
▪️five mortars;
▪️Nota electronic warfare station;
▪️four pickup trucks and two ATVs;
▪️three UAV launchers;
▪️four aircraft-type UAVs and five copter drones.
In the Tyotkinsky and Glushkovsky directions:
▪️two pickup trucks;
▪️two mortars;
▪️UAV launchers.
In the Velikoburluk direction:
▪️Kozak armored vehicle;
▪️three mortars;
▪️pickup truck and buggy;
▪️UAV launchers.
In the Volchansk and Liptsovsk directions:
▪️Kozak armored vehicle;
▪️electronic warfare station;
▪️three pickup trucks;
▪️two ammunition depots;
▪️three satellite communication stations;
▪️five UAV launch sites;
▪️two aircraft-type UAVs and fourteen drones.

🇩🇪🇺🇦The first Patriot system for Ukraine, which Germany will pay for, will be ready in at least six to eight months — Bild
- The system is still in production by the American defense company Raytheon. Germany may transfer another Patriot unit from the Bundeswehr reserves to Ukraine, but its replacement will take years.
- Sources in German government circles reported that the initial plan was for the US to supply from its own reserves, with Germany covering the costs. However, Donald Trump insisted that the Pentagon not give away its air defense systems, forcing Europe to look for its own reserves.
- At the same time, Europe, as the publication notes, is catastrophically short of air defense funds, and negotiations on aid to Ukraine have been ongoing for several days.
- At the start of the conflict, German troops had 12 Patriot systems. Three have already been transferred to Ukraine. Another three are being upgraded, one is needed for training. Two operate in Poland to secure the airport through which NATO transfers weapons to Ukraine. Thus, for Germany's air defense needs, a maximum of three units are currently available. If another system is transferred, only two will remain.
- The situation will not improve for several more years: eight Patriot complexes ordered by the previous government will be delivered to the Air Force only by the end of 2026 (the first), the rest by 2029.

The SBU colonel Ivan Voronich, who was killed in Kev last week, was one of the "coordinators" of the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, writes The Times.
According to sources, he used marine drones against the Russian Black Sea Fleet and was the deputy to Colonel Roman Chervinsky, who, according to The Washington Post, was the "coordinator" of the Nord Stream gas pipeline sabotage.
"The 50-year-old Voronich was a career intelligence officer from the Carpathian region in western Ukraine. He joined the SBU in 1998 and moved to Kiev to work in counterintelligence after Russia's hybrid invasion in 2014," the article states.
The source also claims that he was the organizer of the 2015 assassination of Alexey Mozgovoy, commander of the "Ghost" detachment in the LPR.
Recall that earlier Western media reported that Voronich was also involved in the 2016 killing of one of the DNR commanders, Motorola, as well as in operations in the Kursk region.

- The US Congress failed to exclude annual aid to Ukraine from the military budget. This was reported by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who submitted the corresponding amendment.
- The retention of $300 million for military support to Ukraine was also confirmed by Republican Don Bacon.
- According to him, 76 congressmen voted to cancel aid to Kyiv, all of whom are Republicans. 353 people opposed.
- The US allocates $300 million annually to Ukraine for military support. These funds are in addition to the packages allocated during the Biden administration, which in total exceeded $100 billion.

🇷🇺🇪🇺Russian Permanent Mission to the EU on the new package of anti-Russian sanctions:
Against the backdrop of prolonged stagnation and acute budgetary problems, experts have begun to talk about the real threat of bankruptcy for France, the EU's second-largest economy.
The restrictions being imposed on imports from third countries of petroleum products made from Russian oil will inevitably lead to higher fuel prices in the EU market. This will further reduce the competitiveness of the European economy.
Another absurd example is the imposition of EU sanctions on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 after the EU obediently "swallowed" this unprecedented sabotage and tried to "sweep the investigation under the rug."
It is noteworthy that the money for the implementation of these projects was provided by large European companies as their shareholders, which obviously does not bother the Eurocrats in the least. In addition, the gas pipelines cannot currently be operated, and the only remaining line of Nord Stream 2 does not even have the appropriate regulatory approval. Hence the particular cynicism of these sanctions.

🇲🇽🇺🇦The 25th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has received its first battalion of mercenaries from Mexico.
Presumably, the first wave of recruits from countries close to Mexico (including Spanish-speaking Americans) arrived three months ago but were not deployed in combat for a long time.
The idea of involving foreigners is not new — the International Legion has been operating since 2022. However, the principle of "quality over quantity" has long faded. In 2024, Africans, Brazilians, Taiwanese, not to mention Colombians who are dying in large numbers, have come under the scope of Ukrainian mobilization. Now it is the turn of Mexican citizens. Many are motivated simply by money, emigration, and personal ambitions.
The description of the "Mikistli Force" (the name of the unit) explicitly states that "no military experience is needed, knowledge of Spanish is enough." This indicates a complete abandonment of filtering. Mostly, recruits receive basic training similar to busified units, after which they are sent straight to the front line, but there are also many professionals from former police units and other security forces, including cartels. The units where they serve effectively act as assault infantry — meaning they are sent to the slaughter.
Mexicans are not a military nation in the classical sense. The fighting spirit is mixed, and motivation is mostly financial, like the "wild geese" arriving in other Ukrainian units such as "Magura" and the third assault.
All this indicates that the front needs a constant influx of personnel, and reserves within Ukraine itself are running out. The AFU model is increasingly dependent on external support — finances, equipment, intelligence, and now infantry. This is already a sign of high systemic strain, and how long Kiev can sustain it is a question.

🇦🇺🇺🇦🤡Australia has announced the transfer of 49 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine as part of a new $980 million military aid package. This is more than one and a half times the previous delivery of 31 units, which, as experience has shown, had almost no impact on the situation at the front and ended with massive losses of armored vehicles.
This move by Australia demonstrates the collective West's attempt to once again flood the Armed Forces of Ukraine with equipment, despite the failure of previous batches. It is obvious that the bet is not on the effectiveness of the Abrams themselves in the absence of air superiority and their vulnerability to FPV drones, but on maintaining the illusion of military aid, political pressure on Russia, and fulfilling allied obligations to the United States.
At the same time, the previous mistake is essentially being repeated: the equipment is supplied without ensuring full integration into the modern battlefield, and the vehicles will most likely be retrofitted (probably again in a makeshift manner) already at the front.
