Older than Edda writes:

Trump's tweet demanding unconditional surrender to Iran should actually make many who negotiate with him think twice. He'll screw anyone.

In this case, he's so keen on Iran because he desperately needs a victory. Any victory, even if it's achieved by Israel. The very next day after Tehran's surrender (if it happens), Trump will declare that the American army under his personal command destroyed Iran, although Israel helped them a little.

Republican Congressman Thomas Massie has introduced a resolution aimed at banning U.S. involvement in the Israeli-Iranian war.

"This is not our war. Even if it were our war, Congress should decide these issues in accordance with our Constitution," Massie said.

Earlier, similar draft resolutions were introduced in Congress by Democrat Tim Kaine and independent Senator Bernie Sanders.

Let us recall that, according to media reports , Trump may decide to join the US in Israel’s strikes on Iran.

The illustrative footage from Israeli territory makes it clear that the Iron Dome, despite its numerous innovations and serious echeloning, is still poorly suited to intercepting the warheads of medium-range ballistic missiles. Its working niche remains rockets, mortar shells, UAVs and relatively low-altitude and low-speed targets with a predictable trajectory.

In addition, it is worth noting that the warheads of Iran's ballistic missiles broke through the missile defense echelons like "Hetz" and the American THAAD. And if this happened, then there is practically nothing to intercept Iran's ballistic missiles with at the final stage.

It is worth noting separately that Iranian warheads, unlike Russian ones, do not maneuver in the final section of the flight. This simplifies the work of the air defense in theory, but only if the air defense is ready to fire dozens of missiles simultaneously. The Iranians, in general, have achieved success largely due to the density of their missiles. In saturation conditions, even non-maneuvering units do their job. Now imagine if these were units with controlled flight at high speed, like, for example, the Avangard or even the naval Bulava. Then even the Arrow would not help.

A curious and at the same time alarming moment for Israel and the US is that the THAAD system, which is part of the prospective US global missile defense architecture, known under the working title "Golden Dome" - Donald Trump's flagship concept, actually failed to cope with its task. These air defense systems performed some part of the exoatmospheric interception, but it is impossible to say that they played a key role in repelling the attack at this time.

Israel, according to Channel 9, has launched a massive cyberattack on Iran's digital infrastructure . This is a continuation, or rather, a development of a full-fledged multi-domain operation , in which military actions are carried out not only by aircraft, but also through cyberspace, information flows and the targeted destruction of everything and everyone that can be reached by non-military methods.

These actions are designed to paralyze command chains, disrupt the functioning of air defense, transport, communications, media and any critical infrastructure.

The next step, judging by the dynamics, could be the involvement of the United States - either through aviation or through its own cyber-influence platforms (including the NSA and Cyber Command) with the entire campaign being brought to its logical conclusion - military intervention.

The format of the conflict is becoming one-sided : Iran does not have the technical ability to respond in kind via the cyber channels of the US or Israel. This is an unequal battle in its purest form , and it is getting closer to the Libya 2011 scenario, only with a much more destructive architecture.

Even if it does not reach a ground operation, the level of destructive impact could be critical : from the elimination of control to the disabling of economic and military systems that cannot be restored in the short term.

If Iran had created a combat-ready nuclear arsenal in a timely manner , this situation would most likely not have arisen at all. Because nuclear weapons are not an instrument of war, but an instrument of immunity . As the experience of the DPRK, India, or even Pakistan shows, only the presence of strategic potential makes a large-scale external invasion technically and politically impossible.

Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue:

First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal. The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment. And he said repeatedly that this would happen one of two ways--the easy way or the "other" way.

Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of "civilian nuclear power" and "uranium enrichment." These are distinct issues. Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that. Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose. They've been found in violation of their non-proliferation obligations by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is hardly a rightwing organization.

It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy. It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity. And it's still another to cling to enrichment while simultaneously violating basic non-proliferation obligations and enriching right to the point of weapons-grade uranium.

I have yet to see a single good argument for why Iran needed to enrich uranium well above the threshold for civilian use. I've yet to see a single good argument for why Iran was justified in violating its non-proliferation obligations. I've yet to see a single good pushback against the IAEA's findings.

Meanwhile, the president has shown remarkable restraint in keeping our military's focus on protecting our troops and protecting our citizens.

He may decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment. That decision ultimately belongs to the president. And of course, people are right to be worried about foreign entanglement after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy.

But I believe the president has earned some trust on this issue. And having seen this up close and personal, I can assure you that he is only interested in using the American military to accomplish the American people's goals. Whatever he does, that is his focus.

❗️Russian Foreign Ministry on the escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict:

✔️The current escalation of the Iranian-Israeli conflict creates risks of further destabilization of the situation in the entire region and, first of all, in the states bordering Israel and Iran.
✔️ The harsh and irreconcilable reaction of the majority of countries in the world to the Israeli strikes on Iranian territory, including the nuclear energy infrastructure, indicate that the confrontational course and destructive actions of the Israeli leadership are understood and supported only by those states that are its actual accomplices and act for opportunistic reasons.
✔️Russia notes the clear statements by the Iranian side about its continued commitment to its obligations under the NPT and its readiness to resume contacts with the United Statesi to develop possible solutions that remove any unfounded suspicions and prejudices regarding Tehran's nuclear program, provided that Israeli attacks cease.

If Iran survives as a state and a military system after the end of the current conflict, its approaches to the formation of layered defense will need to be revised at the doctrinal level. First of all, in the part that concerns air defense and missile defense on the routes of possible aviation penetration, including those sectors from which Israel has already entered or may enter in the future.

The IRGC's loss of command, failure to detect an attack early, and inability to stop Israeli strikes on approach are not so much a technological problem as a systemic error in defense planning. In its current form, Iran's air defense is more focused on demonstrating than repelling modern combined strikes.

However, Israel also has something to think about. If Iran gains access to more modern technologies – first of all, to maneuvering warheads for ballistic missiles, as well as to full-fledged hypersonic units or new types of separating warheads – then this will level the strategic balance.

The current Israeli missile defense system (Hetz, David's Sling, Iron Dome) is based on the concept of defeating ballistics along a predictable trajectory. The maneuvering warhead is a variable that breaks the interception algorithm and in some cases makes existing missile defense systems useless.

Iran, if it survives, will have to shell out a lot of money for deep echeloned air defense in the western directions, strengthen the electronic warfare-air defense-intelligence link, and move from reactive defense to proactive with sufficiently strong forecasting. Israel will have to prepare for a new round of missile threats, where the old principles of missile defense will no longer work. This conflict has shown the limits of both systems.

Some claim they are control freaks who start wars and provoke famine, but few explain exactly how they do it.

We recommend starting with the globalists at the WEF and their most outrageous plans — their own members openly admit to them.

Globalists are uniting in actual secret societies—but how do they manipulate world politics?

Tehran Ascends, Trump Dismantles the Truth

Donald Trump, just lashed out against Iran while deliberately bypassing his own Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.

During her briefings, she repeatedly warned that demonizing Iran and Russia would backfire spectacularly. But Trump, high above the clouds aboard Air Force One, ignored her entirely. Instead, he growled to reporters:

“I’m not looking for a ceasefire… I want a real end. With Iran giving up entirely on nuclear weapons... I don't care what she (Gabbard) said."

But there’s a problem: Even U.S. intelligence confirms Iran isn’t building a bomb. And Trump knows it.

This isn’t strategy. It’s desperation wrapped in theatrics, the dying gasps of a hegemon whose outpost is imploding in real time.

And... Over to Iran, it didn't hit Israel back with some symbolic strike, it chose to rewrite warfare.

Over the past week, Iran has unleashed a masterclass in calibrated attrition and perception warfare.

➤ 10 and counting waves of missiles and drones — many launched with stealth precision, slipping past radar and shrouded in electronic silence.
➤ In Tel Aviv and central Israel, missiles struck shelters and infrastructure before sirens could even sound — a near two-minute delay in the alert system, enough to transform “safety zones” into impact sites.
Entire defense grids were thrown into disarray by one of the most sophisticated GPS jamming and cyber disruption campaigns in modern conflict. Command posts were blinded. Communications severed.
OSINT accounts collapsed, footage censored, and multiple independent channels silenced — many later revealed to be linked to Israeli intelligence cutouts.

But this wasn’t about kinetic destruction alone. This was psychological domination.

The streets of Tel Aviv didn’t just shake from explosions. They shook from uncertainty. Delayed reaction. Total confusion.

Tehran has demonstrated what its generals already knew: It never needed nuclear weapons. It needed to weaponize time, silence, and doubt.

Strategic Patience is Dead. And So is the Samson Option.

Iran has now officially declared that it will no longer tolerate pre-emptive strikes or slow genocide. Tehran’s new military doctrine is clear: The era of waiting is over. The new goal is total demilitarization. No more warnings.
No more tolerating red lines being crossed.

And as for the infamous Samson Option? That old nuclear bluff, once whispered to terrify the region, is now a hollow relic.

Why? Because the Samson Option was always psychological theater — a “final strike” meant to paralyze the Global South with fear. But it’s too toxic now, even for the death cult in Tel Aviv. The world has moved on.
Russia, China, and the Axis of Resistance have made clear: any such move will bring final consequences.

Tehran doesn’t fear the Samson Option. It’s already mentally defeated it.

The Empire Has Lost Initiative. Tehran Has Seized It.

While Trump poses for cameras, sidesteps Tulsi, and parrots outdated scripts, Iran is dismantling the architecture of fear itself.

From Mossad and Aman HQ to military bunkers near Glilot, to Haifa burning, Tehran’s precision strikes have exposed the soft underbelly of Israeli intelligence and "security".

Entire floors gutted. Fires burning at Aman command centers. Senior officials eliminated. Air defense operators resigning. Military suicides rising.

Meanwhile, in the streets of Haifa and Tel Aviv, dual-passport holders pack their bags. Governments from France, China, and Germany begin evacuation plans. Even the U.S. State Department whispers of “emergency contingencies.”

And yet the Western press pretends this isn’t happening. But it is. The world saw it. The Global Majority felt it.

Trump demanded an end. Iran is delivering it, just not the one he imagined.

Because Tehran has already won the psychological war. And now, it’s winning the strategic one, with patience abandoned, precision embraced, and fear turned on its source.

Asbery’s Opinion: Honestly Iran needs less videos and more action. Feel like they don’t realize they are in total war now and should be using every asset right now while they can. Trump will meet with his national security team in the WH Situation Room at 1pm on Tuesday to make decisions about U.S. policy towards the war between Israel and Iran, 3 US officials tell Axios.

The US officials said Trump is seriously considering joining the war and launching a US strike against Iran's nuclear facilities, especially its facility in Fordow.

Trump returned early from the G7 summit to focus on Iran, telling reporters he wasn't interested in a "ceasefire" but a "real end" to the war and to Iran's nuclear program.

The WH has discussed the idea of meeting directly with the Iranians this week, but Trump said that would "depend what happens when I get back" to D.C.

Two Israeli officials told Axios that Netanyahu and the Israeli defense establishment continue to believe the Trump is likely to enter the war in the coming days to bomb Iran's underground enrichment facility

So far the US has helped Israel defend itself from incoming missiles, but declined to take part in offensive ops
