In local news, Prime Minister Albanese has told aboriginals that he would not be attending their Garma Festival in the Northern Territory because he is busy and hasn't had time to take a day off this year.

At last year's event Mr Albanese vowed to attend the country's largest Indigenous gathering for as long as he remained prime minister.

❗️Ukrainian forces killed the chief engineer of the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in a drone strike on his vehicle near Enerhodar.

Rosatom confirmed that Alexander Yakovlev and his driver were killed in the attack.

Rosatom head Alexei Likhachev described the strike as “a deliberate act of terrorism by the Kiev regime” and said Russia’s political leadership has been informed.

Yakovlev had remained at the plant after the 2022 Russian occupation, continued working under Rosatom, and acquired Russian citizenship.

The incident follows a similar case in 2024, when Ukrainian military intelligence claimed responsibility for killing the ZNPP’s security chief in a car bomb attack in Energodar.

Rafael Grossi condemned the murder of the chief engineer of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, according to the IAEA.

He called the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces unacceptable and a threat to nuclear safety.

It is hate speech directed against the entire ethnic group. It originates from quotes by Australian military personnel training Ukrainian troops. They describe their objective as making their trainees "better at killing Russians" or "best skilled in killing Russians". This murderous narrative, binding together the two words "kill" and "Russians", is spread as something positive by irresponsible journalists. Now it has been enshrined in political circles by Senator James Paterson, Shadow Minister for Defence, who posted the article on his website.

We would like to remind all supporters of the neo-Nazi Kiev regime and trainers of its troops that the Ukrainian army widely uses foreign assistance and skills it receives to murder Russian civilians.
