The Paris Prosecutor's office has finally issued a press release regarding the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who was detained on August 24 at Le Bourget airport.

He is charged with refusing to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, as well as complicity in

▪️storing pornographic content with minors;

▪️drug distribution;

▪️ Cybercrimes;

▪️ fraud as part of organized groups.

The case against Durov was opened on July 8.

Interesting that Pavel is being charged for crimes that are typically protected for ISPs, in that they are not criminally liable for the actions of users though they will take action for confirmed offences once made aware and in compliance with the law.
