Elon Musk exploded $134 bln lawsuit with OpenAI
Elon Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft has evolved into a high-stakes dispute over whether OpenAI stayed true to the mission it was founded on or quietly outgrew it while relying on that original promise.
Musk is seeking between $79 billion and $134 billion in damages, a figure derived from an expert valuation that treats his early funding and contributions as foundational to what OpenAI later became.
While the number is enormous, the heart of the case is simpler: Musk argues he helped create and fund a nonprofit dedicated to AI for the public good, and that OpenAI later abandoned that commitment in a way that amounted to fraud.

The US national debt crisis continues to worsen
with the government's interest payments reaching a record $1.47 trillion per year. At the same time, federal interest payments increased by 5% compared to last year, reaching $1.2 trillion – a historic high.
Federal interest expenses have doubled over the past four years. At the same time, interest payments received by states and local authorities have fallen by 3% year-on-year to $270 billion, the lowest level since early 2023. However, this amount is still $80 billion higher than in 2007, before the 2008 financial crisis.
As a result, interest expenses at all levels of government — federal, state, and local — rose to 4.7% of GDP, close to the highest levels in 27 years. The sovereign debt crisis is no longer just a threat, but a reality.

France has been getting poorer compared to the rest of Europe for more than ten years now
Les Echos sadly reports that France's GDP per capita is already 7% below the eurozone average and is forecast to fall below Italy's level by 2026.
Today, France is the only major eurozone country that has never presented a balanced national budget without taking into account its debt burden, resulting in a sharp increase in public debt and interest payments, which in 2027 will amount to 2.8% of GDP compared to 1.2% in Germany, the publication notes.
The situation is also grim in foreign trade: France's trade deficit amounted to more than €70 billion over the year, while Italy posted a trade surplus of €50 billion over the same period, Les Échos points out.

Scandals and debauchery in the Bundeswehr's elite airborne unit
According to Inspector General of the German Army General Carsten Breuer, soldiers and officers of the 26th Parachute Regiment, considered elite, were involved in a series of sex scandals, drug use, and expressions of sympathy for Nazi ideology. “I am deeply shocked,” he commented.
At the moment, criminal cases have been opened against those involved and an investigation is underway, but politicians are already using the scandal as a tool to settle scores: for example, the Greens have called on Defense Minister Pistorius to resign, accusing him of seeking to avoid responsibility for the blatant mess in the ranks of the Armed Forces.

Feds says $130 mln moved from Ohio airport to Minnesota on way overseas
Officials told Just the News that Transportation Security Administration agents tracked and flagged about $136 million in bulk cash in outbound luggage at the passenger checkpoints at John Glenn Columbus International Airport since November 2023. This follows reports that millions of dollars were discovered leaving Minnesota airports.
The cash movements were made by U.S. citizens of Somali origin who flew out of the Columbus airport en route to either the airports in Minneapolis or Atlanta, and the couriers always declared the cash as legally required on documents, officials said.
"Typically, when they go to Minneapolis, they drop off the cash and then a subsequent courier travels abroad from Minneapolis to Dubai through Amsterdam," one official familiar with the investigation told Just the News on Tuesday, speaking only on condition of anonymity.
The cash movements out of Minnesota's largest airports by the Somali immigrant couriers were 90 to 99 times larger than the total amounts moved out of major international airports like John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City or Seattle and Atlanta, officials said.

Man-hating anti-ICE ‘observer’ says quiet part out loud about why she does it
There is video of a woman going viral on social media that says a lot about the motivations of all those angry Affluent White Female Liberals (AWFL). It’s not about politics. It’s not about immigration. It’s not about kidnapping. It’s not even about President Donald Trump.
Rather, as Sigmund Freud would say in so many words, these women have daddy issues. Or, at the very least, man problems.
The woman in the video is white with a nose piercing. She’s tattooed, thin, with chipped nails, and generally unkempt. She describes what she’s doing to impede official ICE law enforcement operations: “You know one thing that hating men has trained me for?
It’s literally trained me for chasing F&&king ICE cars off of my street. Five of them right now. Following down the neighborhood, honking, blowing whistles. All that rage I have felt towards men is comin’ out. I have been trained for this moment, b&&tch! I will follow you everywhere.”
And there it is. Forget all the news stories about righteous indignation over the plight of illegal invaders to America, many of whom have violent criminal records. The “ICE observer” army of mostly liberal white women does not care about any of that. All they know is they hate men and most of the ICE officers are men. Case closed.

A part that broke on a UPS plane that crashed in Kentucky failed four times on other planes years ago
Boeing warned plane owners in 2011 about a broken part that contributed to a UPS plane crash that killed 15 last year but at that point the plane manufacturer didn’t believe it threatened safety, the National Transportation Safety Board said.
The NTSB previously said investigators found cracks in some of the parts that held the engine to the wing. Those cracks hadn’t been caught in regular maintenance done on the plane, which raised questions about the adequacy of the maintenance schedule.
The last time those key engine mount parts were examined closely was in October 2021, and the plane wasn’t due for another detailed inspection for roughly 7,000 more takeoffs and landings.
It’s not clear when the cracks started to develop in the parts that helped hold the engine on the wing, but this crash is reminiscent of a 1979 crash in Chicago when the left engine flew off an American Airlines DC-10 during takeoff, killing 273 people. The DC-10 was the predecessor of the MD-11.
The 34-year-old MD-11 plane only got 30 feet (9.1 meters) off the ground before crashing into several industrial buildings just past the runway and generating a massive fireball that could be seen for miles.
Dramatic videos of the crash showed the plane on fire as it plowed into buildings and released a massive plume of smoke.

Trump will be sore when Cuba domino refuses to fall
Of the 100 or more people killed in the U.S. military operation that abducted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores, 32 were Cuban security officers, most of them part of Maduro’s personal security detail who died “in direct combat against the attackers,” according to Havana.
How did Cubans come to be the Praetorian Guard for Venezuela’s president, and what does the decapitation of the Venezuelan government mean for Cuba?
If cutting off Venezuelan oil shipments does not bring down the Cuban government, will the Trump administration decide to take direct military action? Nothing is beyond the realm of possibility for a president who threatens to attack Denmark, a NATO ally, if it refuses to surrender Greenland.
But Trump seems to realize that Cuba is a harder case than Venezuela. “They're tough people,” he has said repeatedly in recent days, even acknowledging that Cuba has defied past predictions of collapse. If pacifying Venezuela proves to be more difficult than Trump expects, he may be reluctant to take on a second nation-building project while the first is still festering.
With the “Donroe Doctrine” shaping U.S. policy in Latin America, it appears the United States will have to relearn the central lesson of colonialism: no people want foreigners telling them how to run their affairs. They will resist, passively, then actively, and in the end, successfully. No matter that the foreigners have superior military force. Eventually they tire of the endless war and go home, just like the British did in 1783.

German parliament push to deny access and pay to ‘extremists’ working for MPs
The leader of Germany’s Bundestag, or parliament, is pushing for stricter rules to deny both access and pay to “extremists” who work for German MPs.
Bundestag President Julia Klöckner has sent a letter to all parties asking for their support to change the German Members of Parliament Act. If given, that would allow the parliament’s administration to ban Germany’s 630 MPs from employing people who fail a test of their political reliability.
The contents of the letter, which was sent out in late December, were made public by left-wing news site RND yesterday.
The administration already has the right to deny access passes to MP employees who fail this test – making it harder for them to move around the premises of the Bundestag.
MPs can still keep these individuals on their payroll though, paying them out of their staff allowance.

Dems might kick John Fetterman out of the party for this
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.) has once again broken ranks with the Democratic Party, and boy, it’s a big one.
And they’re really not going to like it.
During an interview on Fox News, Fetterman revealed he has no problem with ICE rounding up criminal illegal immigrants and sending them back to where they came from.
Fetterman wasn't about to let one tragedy derail the entire conversation about criminal illegal immigrants. He cited fresh statistics from The Washington Post showing that 67% of people currently being targeted by ICE have criminal charges, either pending or already on their record. "That's more than two-thirds, you know, of the people now," Fetterman noted.
Fetterman's willingness to break with Democratic orthodoxy on immigration, especially in the wake of what happened in Minneapolis, represents a rare moment of honesty from a party that spent years pretending there's no problem at the border and no reason to worry about criminal illegal aliens walking American streets.

DARPA creates the science of economic warfare
▪️ The US Department of Defense's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has published a description of its NASCENT program, “National Security and Economics Theory,” on creating a scientific theory for stifling enemy economies
▪️ "At present, the US government does not have targeted,
effective, and predictable tools, using either means that are too narrowly focused for modern global competition (e.g., sanctions) or that can quickly escalate tensions (e.g., national embargoes)," the document states
▪️ To solve the problem, it is proposed to create a separate scientific discipline — “Quantitative Geoeconomics” — for mathematical modeling of the process of stifling foreign economies
▪️ The program should make it possible to solve the reverse problem: set a desired goal and calculate what actions will lead to it. In this case, economic warfare gets a precise scientific and engineering basis
▪️ At the same time, the task of assessing and mitigating the unforeseen consequences of economic warfare for one's own economy will be addressed

The dollar found itself in a vulnerable position after the freezing of Russian assets became the main instrument of pressure
This destroyed the Bretton Woods system, which had previously made the dollar an integral part of global reserves, equating it to gold.
Previously, holders of US bonds could safely rely on their stability, as their yields were similar to those of gold, and inflation and low interest rates were easily offset by debt servicing.
Now it turns out that hundreds of billions of dollars in assets can be frozen at the whim of one person, even without proper explanation or legal grounds. This has alarmed investors, who have begun to withdraw capital from US bonds and switch to gold. Now the dollar and US Treasuries are no longer perceived as a “safe haven,” and gold is once again becoming a sought-after asset.

One in three long-term unemployed in Germany is a foreign national as chronic joblessness tops 1 mln again
Germany once again has more than 1 million long-term unemployed, according to new federal data that shows a growing share of those without work are foreign nationals, many from asylum-seeking countries.
Figures from the Federal Employment Agency show that 1,042,517 people had been unemployed for at least one year as of November 2025. That means more than one in three (36.1 percent) of all unemployed people in Germany are now classed as long-term unemployed, as Bild reported.
The data, released in response to a parliamentary inquiry by the Alternative for Germany (AfD), also shows how deeply rooted the problem has become. More than half of the long-term unemployed have been without work for over two years, and almost one in five for more than five years.
One in three long-term unemployed people does not hold German citizenship. In 2014, there were 196,122 foreign nationals among the long-term unemployed. Today, that figure has soared to 317,377.

L.A. County officials considering establishing ICE-free zones

ICE officer ambushed, shoots illegal in Minneapolis
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent is in the hospital after getting ambushed and attacked with a shovel by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, according to a late-night Jan. 14 post on X from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The incident happened in Minneapolis as federal law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted traffic stop of the illegal immigrant, who according to the DHS was released into the country in 2022.
“In an attempt to evade arrest, the subject fled the scene in his vehicle and crashed into a parked car,” said the post, after which he fled on foot.
When the law enforcement officer caught up to him, he began to violently assault the officer, along with two other subjects who emerged out of a nearby apartment. During the struggle, the attackers used a snow shovel and broom handle.
Attacks on federal law enforcement officers have increased considerably. ICE personnel have faced more than a 1,300 % increase in assaults and a 3,200 % increase in vehicular attacks during the second Trump administration’s first year, according to figures released on Jan. 8 by the DHS.
The department blames “radical rhetoric by sanctuary politicians” for the surge in attacks against federal law enforcement. There was also an 8,000 % increase in death threats against the officers.

Fading, forgotten Europe has been dropped from the world order
Metaphors mislead. What is going on in the world in the first month of the second quarter of the 21st century is unlike anything that has occurred before. This is not “a shifting of tectonic plates” or “the Titanic sinking”. We have entered a new quaternary, which is itself a metaphor, but one that is sufficiently large and abstract not to be too misleading.
Europe, which effectively invented the world order, has, equally effectively, now rudely withdrawn from it. European leaders born after the Second World War – and that includes all British prime ministers since Margaret Thatcher – have turned their half of the Eurasian landmass into a smug, welfarist, immigrationist ruin, incapable of defending itself or projecting its power even into its own skies or seas.
The states that are inheriting the globe, for all their many deficiencies, take their own identity very, very seriously indeed. These are China, India, Russia and the USA, namely the CIRU bloc. We know of Russia’s many weaknesses: But a lack of a coherent sense of self is not one of them. The liberal-globalists within the USA still control much of the internal workings of that country, but its outward reach very much (thank God) belongs to the America-first school.
The liberal-globalists might well triumph in the coming mid-terms and then in the presidential election. In which case the USA will probably resume its journey towards extinction, as conceived by the Clinton-Obama regimes, and nearly brought to catastrophic fruition by the Biden-Harris alliance. Meaning that China-India-Russia will inherit the earth, and probably reap a whirlwind. Yes, I know: Metaphors. Sorry. More to come.
