A vulnerability was discovered (and has already been fixed) affecting Japanese accounts, allowing users to purchase Telegram Stars at extremely low prices (for example, 10,000 Stars for around $1.50). As a result, some users used them to buy the most expensive gifts on the internal marketplace.
There is no need to worry. As usual, these gifts remain transfer-restricted, meaning they cannot be sent to external marketplaces (unless they were purchased directly on accounts belonging to third-party marketplaces).
Telegram is likely to roll back these purchases and freeze the accounts that took advantage of the vulnerability 🤓

I contacted Identity Digital, the registry operator for the .ME domain zone, to request the reason why t.me was placed on "serverHold".
The company has now responded and confirmed that the domain was suspended due to OFAC-related compliance requirements.

BotCloud in BotFather is now available to a limited number of users. Telegram has started sending invitations to test the new Bot API with BotCloud support.
With BotCloud, developers will be able to run bots, JavaScript code, and databases directly on Telegram's infrastructure, without the need to maintain their own servers.
For now, access is by invitation only, while the documentation is already available to testers.

🤖 The BotFather MiniApp has been updated on the production server. A new BotCloud feature has been added, although it is not yet available to all users.
BotCloud will allow developers to create and run server-side Cloud Functions directly on Telegram's infrastructure. Instead of maintaining their own server or using webhooks, developers will be able to write JavaScript code in BotFather, and Telegram will execute it in the cloud.
The current update already includes a Cloud Functions editor, the ability to create, edit, save, and delete functions, as well as validation for function names to ensure they are unique and meet the required rules.
Telegram has also introduced a new domain, cloud.telegram.org, for BotCloud.

In the new Telegram Beta for Android v12.9.0 (6957), bots can now be added to Communities.
On the test server, the limit is up to 10 bots per Community. The production limit is still unknown.
To add a bot to a Community, open the bot's settings → Add Bot to a Community → select an existing Community or create a new one.

In the new Telegram Desktop Beta v6.9.4, you can now convert existing stickers into custom premium emoji.
Open your emoji pack, tap the "+" button, and select "Adapt from a Sticker".
You can also add existing emoji to a pack, as well as use stickers in the ".webp" format.

A future Telegram Desktop update will add a new experimental setting called «Favorite folder button».
This feature will let you add a customizable button to the folder list, which can act as a shortcut to any Telegram destination.

Telegram for iOS users may encounter an issue where, without Telegram Premium, they are unable to send messages using the Quote formatting.
This is a bug — the feature has not become paid and will be fixed in a future update.
