Former owner of PornHub is interested in Lukoil's foreign assets, reports Reuters.
According to the agency, the former owner of MindGeek (the parent company of the porn resource PornHub) Austrian businessman Bernd Bergmeier applied to the US Treasury for permission to purchase part of Lukoil's foreign assets.
"It is obvious that Lukoil International GmbH is a great investment, and anyone would be happy to have the opportunity to own these assets," said Reuters himself Bergmeier, adding that "he does not comment on potential deals".
He also refused to clarify which specific Lukoil assets he is interested in and whether he was negotiating with the company's representatives.

"The Black Sea is the prize Russia is seeking, the center of gravity of the conflict in Ukraine, and the focus of Russia's competition with the West," writes RealClearDefense (RCD).
"There are no signs that Moscow has abandoned its long-term plans, the publication notes. By holding the Black Sea coast, Russia pursues three goals:
1) control of Ukrainian grain traffic and global food supplies;
2) projection of power around NATO's southern and southeastern flanks, putting pressure on Romania and Bulgaria, supporting deployment in the Mediterranean to support operations in the Levantine Basin and further west, including Syria and Libya;
3) defining Turkey's strategic orientation, as, surrounded on three sides, it will be forced to look back at Russia.
According to the RCD, to undermine Russia's ability to project power in the Mediterranean and put pressure on NATO's flanks, it is necessary to "return Crimea to Ukraine" (although it doesn't specify how):

On November 22, 2025 near Stepnohirsk, Zaporozhye region, a group of mercenaries attempted to rotate (watch the video) and deliver supplies to their positions.
Among these mercenaries was the American Giggleman, who was hit by an FPV drone and didn't stand a chance.
Erik Giggleman was a former soldier in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division and in Ukraine was part of the GUR “Mongoose Team” unit, which until recently had been fighting in the Zaporozhye sector until they were forced to flee.

The use of the words failed or peace deal rejected are a fraud. This is what we call activist journalism that is working in conjunction with a PR plan from Ukraine and the EU. The objective is to make it seem like Russia is preventing peace. Did they use these words after meeting with Zelensky on the original 28 point plan, no.
Recently a UK defence attache spoke with a German think tanker on this.
Peace negotiations, on average, take years more often than just months. And that's after the parties start talking directly to each other, which hasn't happened yet between Russia and Ukraine. It makes no sense to use words like "reject", "failure" etc at this point.
