Former owner of PornHub is interested in Lukoil's foreign assets, reports Reuters.
According to the agency, the former owner of MindGeek (the parent company of the porn resource PornHub) Austrian businessman Bernd Bergmeier applied to the US Treasury for permission to purchase part of Lukoil's foreign assets.
"It is obvious that Lukoil International GmbH is a great investment, and anyone would be happy to have the opportunity to own these assets," said Reuters himself Bergmeier, adding that "he does not comment on potential deals".
He also refused to clarify which specific Lukoil assets he is interested in and whether he was negotiating with the company's representatives.

As it became known after five hours of negotiations with the American delegation in the Kremlin, one of the main unresolved issues was the territorial issue.
According to the latest news, the American side was promoting an initiative previously outlined in the 28-point "Trump Plan," involving the transfer of the Kinburn Spit and the ZNPP to the enemy. In the American version, the ZNPP would have been placed under "international management" and subsequently transferred to Ukraine. This arrangement fully satisfied Kiev.
Furthermore, the infamous "territorial swap" was proposed. Its precise terms are currently unknown. But overall, it seems consistent with the idea that Russian troops "must" immediately leave the regions of Kharkov, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Nikolaev (the aforementioned Kinburn Peninsula), while Ukraine may "consider" leaving Donbass at a later date.
They tried, as they say, to persuade President Putin to do so.
For obvious reasons, these proposals were not accepted by the Russian side. The fact is that Moscow has apparently exhausted its reserve of "goodwill gestures," with which "Russia gives up now, and Ukraine will think about it later." On November 22, 2025 near Stepnohirsk, Zaporozhye region, a group of mercenaries attempted to rotate (watch the video) and deliver supplies to their positions.
Among these mercenaries was the American Giggleman, who was hit by an FPV drone and didn't stand a chance.
Erik Giggleman was a former soldier in the US Army's 82nd Airborne Division and in Ukraine was part of the GUR “Mongoose Team” unit, which until recently had been fighting in the Zaporozhye sector until they were forced to flee.
The transcript of the radio interception shows the desperation of one of the survivors.

The U.S. has enough options: recent oil sanctions have already damaged the Russian economy, and with strict enforcement, they could hit harder. The U.S. and European countries could cooperate on security issues for Ukraine and consider new types of weapons — sending a signal to Moscow that prolonging negotiations will not improve its position. And especially, the Trump administration could stop wavering between pressuring Ukraine and (less frequently) pressuring Russia.

The use of the words failed or peace deal rejected are a fraud. This is what we call activist journalism that is working in conjunction with a PR plan from Ukraine and the EU. The objective is to make it seem like Russia is preventing peace. Did they use these words after meeting with Zelensky on the original 28 point plan, no.
Recently a UK defence attache spoke with a German think tanker on this.
Peace negotiations, on average, take years more often than just months. And that's after the parties start talking directly to each other, which hasn't happened yet between Russia and Ukraine. It makes no sense to use words like "reject", "failure" etc at this point.

This is actually a practical and surprisingly rational statement from a European leader. Without a doubt it would lead to the Finnish territory becoming a war zone. Any country close to Russia will likely decline the offer of providing a security guaranate to Ukraine, with the exception of Poland but even they may not want that type of risk exposure.
It’s not like Finland is bringing a ton to the table that would aid Ukraine, it’s a conscript army that I would define as being designed to defend. It works for the role it is designed for.
