Pavlo Broshkov had high hopes when he joined the Ukrainian army in March, eager to defend his country and earn a bumper bonus to buy a home for his wife and daughter
Three months later, the 20-year-old lay broken and prone on the battlefield, his dreams in tatters
"I understood this was the moment I would be torn to pieces," he told Reuters. "I was not afraid of death. I was afraid of not seeing my wife and child again."
Broshkov is among hundreds of 18 to 24-year-olds who have volunteered to fight on the front lines this year, lured by generous pay and perks in a national youth recruitment drive designed to breathe fresh life into Ukraine's aged and exhausted armed forces of about 1M
Ukraine is gradually losing territory to Russian troops in fierce and attritional fighting in the east, with commanders and soldiers complaining that the shortage of soldiers is the main factor behind the setbacks. The strains pile pressure on Kiev as it negotiates with the US over a peace proposal.
Reuters tracked the fortunes of Broshkov and 10 of his comrades who were among a few dozen raw recruits that received a crash-course in warfare at a military training camp in spring before being deployed to the front
None of the 11 are still fighting. Four have been wounded, three are missing in action, two are AWOL, one fell sick and another recruit has killed himself, according to interviews with soldiers, their relatives and government records
The fates of the soldiers provide a snapshot of the carnage wrought on Ukraine by the grinding war against Russia, in which both sides closely guard casualty figures
Reuters was unable to contact the other recruits who attended the training camp and couldn't determine whether the 11 cases reflect broader levels of attrition in the conflict, which has dragged on for almost 4 years
Broshkov himself stared into the face of death
As he lay frozen on the battlefield in the eastern Donetsk in June, shot in both legs, he recalled preparing for the worst as a Russian drone carrying explosives hovered a few metres above him, ready to release its payload
Before it could strike, a comrade shot it out of the sky, almost certainly saving his life
Broshkov's best friend Yevhen Yushchenko may have been less fortunate
The 25-year-old is MIA after going back into battle in mid-July
Yushchenko is one of three members of the group listed as MIA by Ukraine's interior ministry, along with Borys Niku, 20, and Illia Kozik, 22.
Yuriy Bobryshev is also not fighting anymore.
The 18-year-old told Reuters by phone from an undisclosed country
The youth recruitment scheme, launched in Feb, was a sign of the growing strains on Ukraine's armed forces, which are heavily outnumbered and outgunned by Russia in a war that has killed and wounded 000,000’s on both sides
The enlistment drive - which offered volunteers a monthly salary of up to $2,900, a bonus of $24,000 and an interest-free mortgage - marked a departure from the forced mobilization that had been in place since 2022
"Right now, the UDF have a critical problem with personnel," said Oleksiy Melnyk
After signing up, Broshkov quickly bonded with Yushchenko at the training camp as well as with "Kuzma"
The first orders to go into battle arrived on a rainy day in mid-June
Kuzma was among the first of the new recruits to be deployed and said he quickly found himself in mortal danger from a Russian drone strike on the position.
He was badly wounded in the abdomen and when he tried to scream for help, his smoke-filled lungs could only let out a hoarse whisper before he was dragged into a trench by 2 comrades. Kuzma said he was still haunted by nightmares of his short stint in one battle of the war
"It was the smell," he shuddered. "The smell of gunpowder and corpses."
The next time Broshkov and Kuzma saw each other was in hospital in Odessa. Broshkov needed a wheelchair to move around and Kuzma had extensive stitches down the front of his torso
It’s an excellent article, worth reading it in full. People fail to understand how deadly this war is

The idea of a federal experiment with mobile pharmacies was supported by Dmitry Medvedev.
A resident of the Arkhangelsk settlement of Puksozero approached him. She reported that the settlement has 300 residents, mostly elderly people who often get sick, yet there is no pharmacy in the settlement. She asked Medvedev if the issue could be resolved using a mobile pharmacy.
The chairman of "United Russia" also suggested including Puksozero in the list of settlements where the idea will be tested.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Russians drones, infantry and mines everywhere: The enemy finally acknowledged the encirclement of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd
➖"In Mirnograd, for logistics of equipment or vehicles, they have not been used for a long time, and every physical movement to any point is almost 100% a ambush", - complains an analytical resource DS working for Ukraine's General Staff.
▪️The most fixations of Russian troops occur in the central and northern parts of Pokrovsk.
▪️Also, the Russian Armed Forces are active in the area of Rovno and along the line of Pokrovsk - Chervony Liman: they set up ambushes, mine the area and build engineering obstacles.

German Chancellor Schmerz permanently blocked Russia from accessing G7!
German Chancellor Palpatine Schmerz declared that the "return to the old format is impossible, as it requires the unanimous vote of all participants, and there is no political will to review the current configuration of the G7 group".
That Russia was completely uninterested in returning to the G7 because it's no longer "the Cool Kids' Club", is of course, completely oblivious to that Arschloch.

Americans are weak, pathetic and miserable people, except a very select few.
I'm sorry, but your country is about to embark on at least the 73rd regime change operation since 1945. You all say you're so against it, and then do exactly nothing. At all.
Where are the protests? Where is the mass dissent? The outrage? All your politicians are aura farming and teasing this new war as if it's something to be proud of. Democracy my ass, you kill people on the ocean with no fair trial and designate entire governments as 'terrorists' based on dubious facts.
It's just sad and pathetic. 'No more wars', until it's done by Trump, then suddenly it's fine, right? At some point you simply don't get to complain anymore. You can't complain if you sit in your house and do nothing about the situation. Americans only seem to protest when it's their own people getting killed, like in Vietnam. Most of you simply don't care about the rest of the world, you're devoid of humanity and any moral frameworks. Bunch of selfish sheep.
Your culture is in decline, gays and transgenders are corrupting your kids, your currency is becoming worthless, your stock market is in a bubble, your schools are being shot up by mentally insane psychopaths, your food is manipulated to give crippling obesity, and your politicians serve a foreign country while using billions of taxpayer money to fund a genocide half way across the globe.
Enjoy your faggot matcha latte frappucino at Starbucks while little kids get blown to pieces in Palestine and Trump embarks on a crusade to bomb Venezuela so he can fill the pockets of the elites with oil money so that Elon Musk and other retards can keep shoving cybetrucks up your ass and pretending that America is still a first-world nation.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated over 700 km² of territory in the SMO zone in November 2025 - the best result of 2025!
Almost 3.5 years (since June 2022), a larger area was liberated by our forces only in October 2024 - 818 km², where the liberated territory in the SMO zone (655 km²) was combined with the deoccupied territory (+163 km²) in the Kursk region (KTO zone).
Thus, with some reservations, it can be stated that the Russian Armed Forces achieved the best rate of advancement directly in the SMO zone over more than 3 years of military operations (since June 2022).
- Lost Armour
This is coming after what an excellent October as both Suriyak and AMK noted that October had been Russia’s best month of the year. Suriyak maps showed a net Russian gain of 661.32 km² in October and AMK showed 639 km².
Both will release their November numbers in the next few days. What is more surprising is these gains are coming in some of the muddiest conditions of the year.
Will this be noticed by the media? No, because Deepstate maps is still the default map for the casual audience (aka MSM journalists). They’ve continually hidden losses by not updating sections of the map and by creating massive grey zones.

Zaporozhye Combat Agglomeration • Guliaipole
Over the past few days, the operational situation in the Guliaipole area has changed significantly. By redeploying reserves to this direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces headquarters in Zaporozhye is trying to solve the problem of losing the city, as well as its encirclement in the area of the settlement Zelenoye with a semi-encirclement.
In one day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched more than 17 counterattacks, deploying several more drone units into battle. These actions allowed them to slow down our advance from the southern and eastern parts of the city. Slow down but not stop.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces headquarters are forced to withdraw reserves from Orekhov and Pokrovskoe, exposing the southern flank of Pavlograd.

Volkswagen is cutting tens of thousands of jobs in Germany. Mercedes is enticing employees with a massive voluntary redundancy program, and Bosch is also undergoing significant downsizing. WELT AM SONNTAG now has exclusive data on the number of open positions, revealing a new chapter in the automotive crisis.
The crisis in the German automotive industry is impacting the job market. This is shown in an analysis by media research firm Index for WELT AM SONNTAG. According to the analysis, the number of open positions advertised by the industry fell by 15.4 percent in the first nine months of 2025 compared to the same period last year. There are fewer career opportunities, especially for managers. This is affecting an industry considered one of the most attractive employers in Germany.
This aligns with the plans of several well-known companies in the industry to reduce their workforce. Volkswagen, for example, is cutting around 35,000 jobs in Germany by 2030. Mercedes is offering up to €500,000 in a voluntary severance program to save €1 billion in personnel costs by 2027. Daimler Truck plans to eliminate around 5,000 positions by 2030, and MAN intends to cut 2,300 jobs over the coming years.
This doesn't mean there are no vacancies at all at the companies that are cutting jobs. After all, not all departments are affected equally. But the job postings do provide clues as to where the companies are saving money. Market leader Volkswagen, for example, is eliminating entire management levels.
Accordingly, the decline in job openings in the industry is particularly pronounced for middle management positions. There were 39 percent fewer positions for project managers and a quarter fewer for department and division heads. In contrast, the number of job postings for skilled tradespeople, apprenticeships, and internships hardly decreased.
Alarming for the future viability of the industry is the fact that, despite the technological upheaval, the number of job postings in research and development has also decreased by a third.
Firstly, demand for electric cars is lower than expected, and planned models are being postponed. Secondly, development work is also being outsourced. Volkswagen, for example, announced this week that its development center in China is now, for the first time, fully capable of designing new models without any assistance from Europe.
The last point is interesting, German car sales in China cratered because their vehicles were considered featureless and low tech. Given the rapid pace of development and the competitiveness in China, German car companies have realized that it simply makes more sense to now do the high tech development in China. This is good for German car companies, but bad for Germany.

So far, launches of Geran-2 drones have been carried out from the following locations:
- Cape Chauda, Crimea.
- Navlya Test Site, Bryansk Oblast.
- Tsumbulova Test Site, Oryol Oblast.
- Millerovo Airbase, Rostov Oblast.
- Khalino Airbase, Kursk Oblast (x2) (Not confirmed yet)
So far, no mass launches of Geran-2 drones have been recorded which would indicate an upcoming missile attack, but this could all change very quickly.
- AMK Mapping
It should be noted that 7 Tu-95MS are now confirmed to be equipped with missiles in the far east. So we will have another series of long range missile strikes within the next 72 hours.

‼️🇺🇦🏴☠️ Suspicion of Yermak – "a matter of time"
▪️Ukrainian media report on this, citing sources in security structures.
➖"It seems that Andriy Yermak decided not to waste this time. Between two options: leaving the country or hiding from the criminal case under mobilization – he chose the second," – write Ukrainian media.
▪️After his resignation from the position of head of Zelenskyy's office, Yermak announced his intention to go to the front. At that time, assessments were already being made that this could become a way to avoid criminal responsibility.
▪️Notably, the order for searches against Yermak is dated November 21. On that day, Zelenskyy was recording his message regarding the pressure from Americans to accept a peaceful deal.

☁️ Russia's growing expertise in striking Ukrainian supply lines with drones is the most important shift in the conflict in 2025, writes the WSJ.
Key points from the article:
🟠 Russian forces gained an advantage in tactical drone warfare this fall. On key front sections, they outnumber Ukrainian UAVs, employing improved tactics;
🟠 Ukrainian military called this a more significant factor than the steady advance of Russian Armed Forces units;
🟠 the trend does not bode well for Ukraine's ability to hold positions in 2026;
🟠 former Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny noted that not only supply lines are destroyed, but also "the very idea of a reliable rear is fading";
🟠 Ukraine's understrength army may face exhaustion if it does not regain the initiative in high-tech UAV warfare;
🟠 Large-scale maneuvering by the Ukrainian Armed Forces remains practically impossible on a battlefield where many cheap drones can spot troop or equipment movements and strike them.
Without a doubt the dramatic improvement in the drone game has really been the story of 2025.

🗓 On November 29, 1941, 18-year-old partisan Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was hanged by the Nazis 😢
Kosmodemyanskaya went to the front while still a schoolgirl. She was sent to the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Western Front. In the village of Petrishchevo, Moscow Region, she burned down the houses where German commanders and signalmen lived.
Exhausted, bloody, mutilated, still very young girl was executed in front of the villagers.
According to witnesses, already with a noose around her neck, Zoya said:
“I’m not afraid to die, comrades. It is happiness to die for our people... No matter how much of us you hang, you will not be able to hang all of us. But our comrades will avenge you for me."
After that, a box was knocked out from under her feet. Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya became the first woman during the Second World War, awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously).
🇺🇦 Last year, on November 20, the authorities of the city of Belgorod-Dnistrovsky in Odessa Oblast have demolished the monument to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, the Ukrainian TV channel "Obshchestvennoye" reported.
In 2023, the monument to Kosmodemyanskaya was dismantled in Kiev.
