Trump suggested that the war in Ukraine could be resolved within a few months because Putin wants to restore trade with the US.
"I think it works with Putin. I dealt with him a little differently because we don't have that much business with Russia, to be honest. You know, he's not someone who buys a lot from us — basically out of stupidity. And I think he would like to change that. I think he wants to establish relations, wants to trade with us, wants to make a lot of money for Russia — and I think that's great. That's what I like," said the US president.

The largest refugee reception center for Ukrainians in Berlin will be closed.
It is located in the building of the former Tegel airport, which was converted to accommodate people. The center is planned to be closed by the end of the year.

China is stockpiling oil reserves.
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, analyzing official customs data for the first nine months of 2025. During this time, China imported more than 11 million barrels of oil per day. Up to 1.2 million of this number were stored daily in reserves.
"China's strategic oil reserves and commercial stocks already provide a significant buffer against short-term supply disruptions," writes WSJ, quoting Kelly Xu, a commodities and energy strategist at Alpine Macro.
Recall that the media previously reported that China is building large oil reserves. Experts associate this with Beijing's desire to hedge against the deepening problems in relations with the US, which could lead to a blockade of oil supplies to China by sea.
According to experts, although stockpiling will continue until the end of the year, Chinese refineries are unlikely to reduce purchases of Russian oil due to sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil, which prevent them from conducting transactions in dollars.
Russia exports only 5% of its oil for dollars. The dominant currency, accounting for 67% of Russian oil exports, is the Chinese yuan.
