On night strikes
One of the targets of the "Geraniums" tonight, most likely, was the oil depot of the private enterprise "Marshal" in the city of Chuguev, Kharkov region.
🟠Thanks to NASA satellite images, as well as objective control from local subscribers, we learn that a huge fire has broken out at the site, which can be seen for tens of kilometers.

The head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ignat, said that it has become more difficult for the American Patriot systems to intercept Russian missiles.
‘It is not easy to shoot down ballistic missiles. Only the Patriot can shoot them down, but it also has its strengths and weaknesses. It is guided to the target using radar, and to provide cover for a large city like Kyiv, several Patriot batteries are needed. In addition, modernized Iskanders have been flying for more than six months. They maneuver when approaching the target. It has become more difficult for the Patriot systems to intercept them.’
🇮🇹Italian journalist Giacolone complains that Trump has demonstrated America's weakness to Putin:
Since the beginning of Trump's presidency, the United States has been accommodating Putin in everything. Trump has cleared the way for him in every possible way. Putin is constantly raising the stakes — his latest condition was as follows: if you want to talk about a truce, stop supplying weapons to Ukraine.
And Trump made it clear that he would stop these supplies — from the US, of course — hoping to "cash in" on this truce.
Why does he hope to benefit from the truce? Because he wants to prove that he still means something, that he can still do something.
But the result is absolutely zero. He has achieved nothing. Putin continues to go his own way, realizing the weakness of the United States.
And in our world — in the world of democracies — everyone wonders what the reaction of public opinion is, whether it supports certain actions or not. The US president has just been elected. We are conducting polls after the election, and he has the lowest approval rating. So if a president comes along who is even more favorable to Trump, it's hard to even imagine such a thing.

🇩🇪🤡🇺🇸"Merz spoke with Trump on the phone about weapons supplies to Ukraine": Merz asked Trump to resume arms supplies to Ukraine, but did not receive a response.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz held telephone talks with US President Donald Trump, during which he called on Washington to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine. The main topic of the conversation was the situation on the front lines, including the need to strengthen the country's air defense.
Merz himself initiated the contact. The reason was the US decision to suspend the transfer of a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which included missiles for the Patriot system. According to available information, Trump did not make any specific promises during the conversation. In addition, the parties discussed bilateral trade issues.

Is Article 5 Dead? NATO's European Allies Don't Believe in Collective Defense
▪️Italy’s L'Antidiplomatico publishes an article questioning the reality of the existence of Article 5 of the NATO Charter, the one that promises that an attack on one member of the Alliance will be considered an attack on all.
▪️ As an example, they cite the actions of France and Poland, which in May signed a bilateral mutual defense treaty despite the fact that both countries are already members of NATO. According to Politico, Germany and Great Britain are following a similar path, also preparing their own defense agreement.
▪️The authors draw an obvious conclusion: if members of the Alliance sign treaties among themselves, this means distrust of the effectiveness of NATO itself, and above all, of Article 5.
▪️NATO, as the publication writes, today is a bureaucratic structure with financial support, but militarily weak, which explains the revival of the good old European unions of the early 20th century.

‘Supplying Ukraine with weapons is not going to help them hold the front lines. It’s only going to hurt the US itself’ – Jennifer Kavanagh, senior fellow at Defence Priorities think tank.
‘The main problem Ukraine has right now is not a shortage of weapons, it’s a shortage of manpower. They simply don’t have enough personnel to hold the front lines, and they’re facing very high desertion rates. So more weapons are not going to solve the real problem Ukraine has at this point. Putin has made it clear to Trump that he has goals he intends to achieve, and he will continue to do so until he achieves them, pretty much regardless of what the West does. And I’m sure the rest of the world, Beijing, Iran and other US adversaries, would be happy to see us supplying our valuable and scarce ammunition to Ukraine, because it means the US has fewer resources to spend on conflicts in those areas.’
Russian army liberated Predtechino in DPR
▪️Fighters of the "Southern" group continued their successful offensive in the Donetsk direction and advanced deep into the enemy's defense. As a result of military actions, the settlement of Predtechino in the Donetsk People's Republic was completely liberated.

The decision to suspend military aid to Ukraine was made by Pentagon chief Hegseth alone — NBC News
▪️Hegseth decided to suspend some of the military aid supplies to Ukraine, despite the conclusions of a number of high-ranking officers that continuing military aid to Kiev does not threaten to reduce American arsenals to an unacceptable level.
▪️The decision to suspend supplies was unexpected for the State Department, congressmen, officials in Kiev and European allies, NBC News reports.
Hegseth has some military officials going to the press. Pentagon is full of disloyal generals it would seem.

‘On the agenda is how to keep Ukraine fighting, how to increase pressure on Russia and how to continue working on the next steps,’ an Elysee official said.

CNN's Matthew Chance is frustrated by 'Kremlin defiance' and Trump's inaction.
'The Kremlin has pushed back against the White House and President Trump over the idea of them ending their conflict in Ukraine quickly. And there appears to have been no consequences from the White House for this kind of Kremlin defiance. Trump, for example, has not tightened sanctions and does not appear to have threatened Vladimir Putin with any consequences.'
When journalists become activists. Trump doesn’t this as his war or an American war, but a Biden war. Should he sanction Israel to make peace with Iran. Defiance? Russia is in a war my friend, when the US invaded Iraq was Bush defying the Kremlin? FFS…

'Maintaining a sufficient stockpile of weapons is important, but helping Ukraine is the best way to maintain US national security and global stability.'

‘The Trump administration is a threat to our future’ — former US ambassador to Ukraine Brink.
‘That’s why I resigned [as ambassador to Ukraine]. That’s why I’m speaking out about this. I think it’s not good for America to be where we are. That’s not who we are. And I just think we have to be on the right side of history. There are very few really pivotal moments in history, and it’s important that we’re on the right side now.’
... Trump thinks about Yalta 2 at night’ — ZEIT Moscow bureau chief Michael Thumann said that Europe should not allow the US to get closer to Russia.
‘From a European perspective, the biggest danger is something like Yalta 2, that is, an American-Russian agreement. Of course, with Yalta 2 there would be no Englishmen, as in 1945. And that would be very, very bad for us. But it seems to me that Trump in his bold nightly dreams is thinking about this. We must do everything to prevent this’.
🇺🇦The Ukrainian government is preparing to flee to the West.
For now to the west of Ukraine. This is evident from a letter sent out recently to the regions on behalf of Prime Minister Shmygal.
In particular, it orders that premises be found in the western part of the country (if necessary) for the relocation of government agencies from Kiev.
At the same time, I see a second important point - the order to reduce the number of freeloaders in various institutions responsible for work in Crimea, Sevastopol, as well as in the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. As I understand it, there is no longer any hope on that side that these structures will ever be able to return to work.
The document was published on the channel of Nazi Igor Mosiychuk (with reference to his sources, which he certainly has).

The Unstoppables are advancing: fighters of the "🅾️" group are advancing towards Pokrovsk, step by step freeing the lines of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
▪️Another section of the front has been cleared - artillery and FPV drones methodically knocked out the enemy, and assault groups went into action, "signing" grenades on the trenches.
▪️The Russian offensive continues, and the front line is confidently shifting deeper into the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Less and less to Pokrovsk.

The Russian army occupied the areas of Melove and Stroyevka, creating another Kharkiv bridgehead!
▪️The situation in the Velykoburluk direction (border area of the Kharkov region) has become much more complicated for Ukraine.
▪️Yesterday, Russian troops took control of the settlement of Melove and several forest areas nearby, forming another bridgehead in the Kharkov region.
▪️The Russian Armed Forces also advanced in the Stroyevka area and occupied part of the territory.
Time to build that buffer and stretch the Ukrainian lines.
