Slovakia's ex-defense minister "shit his pants and fled to Canada" to avoid responsibility for ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
▪️Slovak Parliament Vice Speaker Tibor Gaspar harshly criticized former Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy for transferring ammunition worth 9 million euros to Ukraine.
▪️According to Gaspar, Nagy bought "unnecessary ammunition" and then, without approval, "with a wave of his hand" gave it to Kiev, thereby violating a number of laws on the disposal of state property.
▪️When the investigation began and questions arose about embezzlement, the ex-minister, according to Gaspar, "hastily fled to Canada", where he "pretended to be on vacation", and upon returning, he pretended to be a "martyr and sufferer".
➖"He has only three degrees of courage: swearing from afar, running away, and running headlong. Now he just sits and cries,” the deputy speaker added.

Russia is stepping up its offensive in Ukraine near Donetsk and in the Sumy region — WaPo
▪️Russia, inspired by its recent successes, is increasing pressure in 2 directions at once:
➖ In the north the Russian forces are conducting massive shelling with gliding air bombs and drones, attacking with small infantry groups, preventing the Ukrainians from transferring reserves to the Donetsk direction.
➖ In the east Russia's main goal remains the same - the complete liberation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. To do this, the Russian army is trying to encircle Pokrovsk, threatening to advance further, into the Dnepropetrovsk region.
▪️If Russian troops enter there and gain a foothold, this will be a serious moral blow to Kiev and will strengthen Moscow's position in possible negotiations.
▪️WaPo paid special attention to the change in the mood of Russian fighters:
➖"They are no longer running under the blows of Ukrainian drones. Even prisoners say: "We will win," said the Ukrainian commander.

Poroshenko accused Zelensky of authoritarianism and advised him to follow Netanyahu's example
▪️ The former Ukrainian president said in an interview with The Times that Zelensky is eliminating political rivals and "crawling toward authoritarianism." Poroshenko called the sanctions against him "a warning to all future candidates."
➖ "Today Poroshenko, tomorrow Zaluzhny, and the day after tomorrow - anyone," he noted.
▪️ Poroshenko is confident that the current president "hates him on a biochemical level," but he himself "never showed hostility" in response.
▪️ The former Ukrainian leader called on Zelensky to "learn from Netanyahu," hinting at the latter's ability to gain US support.
▪️ In addition, Poroshenko criticized Kiev’s quarrel with Trump and warned that if Zelensky does not change his line, the country will face a "boiling cauldron effect."
Poroshenko, aka Mr. Ethnonationalist, should realize he helped put Ukraine in this mess.

Building upon the original "Shahed" drone, the Russians have applied their own field modificatios. Here's why the new version of the Geran is so effective:
➡ Improved engine: A new engine allows Gerans to now reach an altitude of 3 Kms and speeds of up to 200 km/h, making interception much more difficult.
➡ Improved fuselage: better aerodynamics allow the Geran to dive bomb at 2 Kms of height and speeds of 400 km/h for better Rush B cyka blyat' dive bombing.
➡ Improved electronics: previous Gerans were susceptible to jamming from American devices. New electronics now make the jamming ineffective.
➡ Improved anti-spoofing algorithms.
➡ Better warhead: the payload has been increased from 50 to 90 kg for more vodka-infused explosive shashlik goodness.
➡ New and improved tactics, including carousel bombing swarms, to maximise damage and minimise chances of interception.

‘This decision was made to put America’s interests first’
‘We will supply 10 times more than before’ - UK Defence Secretary Healey says he will arm Ukraine with drones.
‘We will increase investment in drones to £4bn. That’s more than double what we had in the last budget. We will learn from the situation in Ukraine so that we not only develop better drones and produce them in larger quantities for Ukraine (which we will do this year), but we will also increase the number of drones we supply to Ukraine by at least tenfold this year.’
According to other sources, it was not the gas station that exploded, but the warehouses located next to it, but there is still no exact information. Ukrainian emergency services are also silent.

The halt in arms supplies is the first clear signal that the US is starting to withdraw from the war in Ukraine — NYT
▪️The publication, citing Ukrainian politicians and experts, writes that the suspension of supplies of anti-aircraft missiles and shells is not just a temporary pause, but an alarming political signal.
▪️ As stated by Solomiya Bobrovska, a member of the Ukrainian Defense Committee, “Ukraine is no longer at the center of US foreign policy,” and Washington is effectively switching its attention to other regions.
▪️ Currently, Ukraine has only 8 Patriot systems, 6 of which cover Kiev. But ammunition is running out, and without American supplies, the defense of the capital will be at risk.
▪️ The situation with artillery shells is slightly better, as production in Europe is increasing, which partially compensates for the pause.

Ukraine is losing its future: schools and universities are emptying, young people are leaving en masse abroad
▪️According to the Ukrainian portal NGL media, at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, there are only 3.74 million students in the Ukrainian education system - this is an anti-record for the last 30 years. Surveys show that the outflow of children and young people will continue.
➖"If the trend of decreasing the number of students in Ukraine continues, this will lead to new challenges not only in the field of higher education, but also in the labor market," the article says.
▪️Experts warn: if the situation does not change, the country will face a shortage of specialists, especially in technical fields. Mass emigration has affected not only students, but also teachers.
Let that sink in, roughly 3.74M from ages 0-25, when this was a country of 52 million. Very small group to pay large national debt and support the retirement of a very large group of people.

Kiev is preparing for a protracted war: the National Security and Defense Council admitted that hostilities will continue next year
▪️The head of the Center for Combating Fake News at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, said that "the war will continue this year and will move on to the next."
▪️Earlier, Zelensky had already outlined an "optimistic horizon" for the end of the conflict by 2029.

🇺🇸🤝🇺🇦"Pentagon halting some promised munitions to Ukraine": US weapons stocks have reached critically low levels.
"The decision was made on the initiative of Colby, the chief strategic analyst of the US Department of Defense, after reviewing the state of the arsenals. According to three informed sources, this caused concern due to the decrease in the total number of artillery shells, anti-aircraft missiles, and high-precision weapons.
Among the weapons whose deliveries have been suspended are missiles for Patriot air defense systems, high-precision artillery ammunition, Hellfire missiles, and other warheads that Ukraine launches from F-16 fighter jets and drones.
The absence of these weapons will undoubtedly affect the situation on the front lines, especially against the backdrop of ongoing attacks by Russian troops.

Kamikaze drones "Chernika" were used against targets in Kharkov for the first time
▪️Russian troops used new drones of the "Chernika" series for the first time in strikes against Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Kharkov. This was reported by industry sources.
The drones are manufactured in two versions:
▪️ "Chernika-1" is a light drone with a range of up to 80 km, a cruising speed of 75 km / h and an operating altitude of up to 1.5 km. It is designed to destroy light targets.
▪️ "Chernika-2" is a heavy version with a warhead of up to 3.5 kg, a range of up to 100 km and a target guidance function. The drone is less vulnerable to electronic warfare and can fly to a specified area in autonomous mode, requiring operator intervention only at the final stage of the attack. ▪️According to sources, "Chernika-2" was specially created to destroy enemy dugouts, shelters and armoured vehicles.

CONFIRMED According to well placed US military sources, the Pentagon has halted weapons systems needed by Ukraine at a crucial moment in its fight with Russia. The weapons, which were already on their way to Ukraine and in Poland, include missile interceptors and 155 mm ammunition shells.
One official source said there was some concern at the Pentagon about US missile interceptor stockpiles running low.
