🇰🇵Amid the war in the Middle East , Kim Jong-un visited an ammunition factory and demanded a sharp increase in production:
“He was accompanied by the DPRK Minister of Defense No Gwang-chol, Foreign Minister Choi Son-hui, the leadership of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and his daughter.
Comrade Kim Jong-un said that in order to fulfill all the requirements of the state defense strategy and increase the production of powerful new-type projectiles that meet the conditions of modern warfare, it is necessary to further expand and increase productivity , organize production processes more rationally, and tirelessly increase automation."

By the way, does anyone remember when the head of the Shin Bet announced that he was going to resign on June 15? It's June 15 in Israel now. Looks like some lucky son of a gun has fortuitously jumped into the lifeboat just in time to leave somebody else to sort this mess out.

Iran's energy infrastructure situation right now:
1. Iran's South Pars gas field struck, shutting down 12 million cubic meters of gas production per day
2. Shahran oil field in western Tehran on fire after Israeli strike
3. Israeli strikes hit 2 oil depots in Tehran setting them on fire
4. Iran says production at world's largest gas field has been partially suspended due to Israeli strike
5. Multiple oil refineries in Iran are reportedly on fire
Iran currently produces 3.3 million barrels of crude oil per day, or ~3.5% of global supply.
Come next monday, we're going to see one of the biggest hikes in crude oil in the past 20/25+ years, probably more, since at least the first Gulf War. And that's without counting that tomorrow is another day and Israel will likely strike even more Iranian energy infrastructure.
As much as the Brent going up will favour OPEC+ countries (this includes Russia, naturally), those of this community who don't live in an OPEC+ country will have very little reason to rejoice. If the Brent goes up, the price of gas goes up, and if the price of gas goes up, so does the price of groceries, plastics, and pretty much everything else that depents either directly or indirectly on refined hydrocarbons.
Those people rioting in LA may look angry now, but the average American Joe and Jane can become far more terrifying if the price of gas per gallon gets above 10 bucks.
