🇧🇾🇨🇳Lukashenko to Xi Jinping during visit to Beijing:
You have very correctly noted the main feature of the current time. Unprecedented pressure from the West on us, first of all on China. And today the eyes of many countries, including Belarus, are turned to you. Esteemed Chairman, five years ago they said: "If China holds out, then the planet will be balanced and will exist." Today they are already saying that China will hold out, will hold out, and China will not allow the world order to be broken. Many nations are convinced of this.

🇺🇦🤡Zelensky called further negotiations in Istanbul pointless:
I think it is pointless to continue meetings in Istanbul at a level where they do not provide any solutions. We propose, and I think our partners will support us, a ceasefire until the two leaders meet. In Istanbul, in Switzerland, anywhere.

We'd like it faster' - Gay Goncharenko urges Trump to end war in Ukraine.
'People who know Trump well, who are close to him, say that the term 'by the end of the year' is being used. That he has stretched out these 24 hours that we were all counting on until the end of the year. He wants to achieve the end of the war. We would like it to be faster, but we have what we have.'
NATO summit in The Hague will not focus on Ukraine
The priority for the alliance members is to increase defense spending, France Press writes. The goal is to satisfy Trump's demand to pay 5% of GDP to the military bloc and keep the US in NATO.

🇷🇺Putin on the fact that there is nothing to talk about with Kiev:
Let us recall that just recently the Ukrainian authorities and their allies dreamed of a strategic defeat of Russia on the battlefield. Today, against the backdrop of huge losses, retreating along the entire line of combat contact, trying to intimidate Russia, the Kiev leadership has moved on to organizing terrorist acts. And at the same time they are asking to suspend military actions for 30 days or 60 days.
But how can such meetings be held in these conditions? What should they talk about? Who is negotiating with those who rely on terrorism? And what should they be encouraged for, by providing a respite in military operations that will be used to pump the regime with Western weapons. To continue the forced mobilization and preparation of other terrorist acts similar to those that were carried out in the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
@Slavyangrad
Putin called the blowing up of railway tracks in the Bryansk and Kursk regions a terrorist attack:
The recent blowing up of railway tracks in the Bryansk and Kursk regions is, of course, a terrorist act, and decisions to commit such crimes were, of course, made in Ukraine at the political level. What I would like to note in this regard is that, of course, civilians suffer everywhere and always during armed conflicts, to our great regret.
But what happened in Bryansk, in the Bryansk region, was a targeted attack on civilians. According to all international norms, such actions are called terrorism. All the crimes that were committed against civilians, including women and children, on the eve of the next round of peace talks we proposed in Istanbul, were certainly aimed at disrupting the negotiation process. The attack on the civilian population was intentional.

Pornhub will close in France for 24 hours due to a new law on age verification of users, Le Figaro reports.
The new law would require age verification every time you log into a porn site, using, for example, a credit card or ID.
"Pornographic sites prefer to leave France rather than protect our children by checking the age of their users, as required by the SREN law that I initiated? Good luck!" wrote French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot in X.
Pornhub's owners said the French law was "dangerous," "potentially privacy-infringing," and "ineffective."
Instead of pornographic content, users in France will see an image of Marianne, the country's symbol, and the slogan: "Freedom has no off button."

The EU fears that Trump will threaten to cut off military aid to Ukraine at the G7 summit, the FT reported, citing sources.
This could be used as a tool to pressure the Europeans on other issues, including trade and defence.
The Europeans will meet Trump at the G7 summit in Canada on June 15.
“He could tell us: ‘If you don’t give me a good trade deal, we won’t support Ukraine.’ Or, ‘If you force me to support Ukraine, we will increase [our demands on you to increase] your military spending for NATO,’ for example,” says Josep Borrell.
Senior EU officials have discussed worst-case scenarios that include a complete halt in US support for Ukraine, including intel info, and a ban on Euro countries supplying weapons purchased from the US.
These scenarios include a full-scale trade war with severe consequences for economic growth, as well as a rapid withdrawal of American troops from Europe.
"On trade, defence and Ukraine, the choice is between a bad outcome and a very bad outcome," - EU official

Trump's envoy Kellogg said the risk of escalation had grown after Ukrainian strikes on Russian airfields and said Americans would like to avoid it.
"The risk level is significantly elevated. I mean, after what happened this weekend. People have to understand that in national security, when you attack part of an opponent's national survival system, your risk level is elevated because you don't know how they're going to respond. It's very clear that the risk level is going to be elevated, and I think that's what we're trying to avoid. We're trying to get to a situation where the risk levels are not elevated," he said on Fox News.
Let us recall that Kellogg met in the US with Yermak, who is lobbying for new sanctions against Russia. Among other things, they discussed the Ukrainian attack on airfields.
Risk level will be very high. Ukraine is going to get a solid kick in the taint.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇺🇦"The missile math just isn't in Ukraine's favor" — Politico
- The military trend is still in favor of the Kremlin, the publication notes.
- Russia's military advantage in air strikes "remains with or without tougher economic sanctions."
- This is happening due to ballistic missiles, of which Moscow has hundreds, while Kiev has about two hundred missiles left for the American Patriots.
- As Russia ramps up production of drones and ballistic missiles, air warfare is becoming increasingly difficult for Ukraine.
- "Even if Trump allows Ukraine to buy more missiles and batteries, Lockheed Martin plans to increase missile production only to 600 or so per year. Essentially, the math is simply not in Ukraine's favor," the publication writes.

🇩🇪🇺🇸🇺🇦Merz, unlike Zelensky , will not go into open confrontation with Trump, writes Bloomberg.
The German Chancellor sought advice from European leaders in preparation for his meeting with the US President. In particular, he spoke with the Italian Prime Minister and the Finnish President.
According to a German official close to the Chancellery, Merz was advised to let Trump do most of the talking and not interrupt under any circumstances. If he did interrupt, he was advised to smooth it over with praise.

Duda tried to convince Nawrocki that Ukraine should be accepted into NATO - RFM24
'Will the position of the elected president change? It is difficult for me to predict this today. What is the position of President Duda? For many years it has been consistent that Ukraine should gravitate towards NATO, towards the European Union,' said Malgorzata Paprocka from the presidential chancellery.
The EU is preparing to extend the program for accepting Ukrainian refugees until March 2027, but will begin developing a plan for their return today, Politico reports, citing sources.
The European Commission wants to create a mechanism so that people can gradually return home after the fighting stops.
The permit for Ukrainians to stay and work in the EU "was initially limited in time, but it has been extended several times, and now Brussels is starting to work on what will happen next."
After March 2027, EU countries should help Ukrainians transition to a different legal status. It will be recommended to provide benefits for people who are sick, pregnant or have school-age children.
"Ukraine needs its citizens most of all," said Migration Commissioner Magnus Brunner. "We must help Ukrainians make an informed decision about their future - whether to return home or continue to support Ukraine from here for now."

Putin on the fact that the Ukrainian authorities have no authority and do not need peace:
What kind of authority can the leaders of a thoroughly rotten and completely corrupt regime have? The whole world is talking about this. What kind of competence can those be proud of, by whose will the Ukrainian armed forces, for example, suffered absolutely senseless huge losses in the Kursk region?
And today they suffer one defeat after another on the battlefield. Apparently, we are dealing with people who not only do not have any significant competence in anything, but also basic political culture. If they allow themselves to make certain statements, as well as direct insults to those with whom they are trying to negotiate about something.
As for the latest refusal to have a truce for 2-3 days for humanitarian reasons, this is not the first time. It does not surprise us, but only convinces us that today's Kiev regime does not need peace at all.

🇺🇦🇷🇺Zelensky: Ukraine "does not take seriously Russia's memorandum" with the terms of a ceasefire and peace, "since it is an ultimatum"
- This weekend, there will be an exchange of prisoners of war. The Russian side is ready to exchange 500 soldiers, however, Ukraine has not yet received the lists, Zelensky also said.
- After the exchange of prisoners, an exchange of bodies of the dead will probably take place.

Russia may strike Ukraine with tactical nuclear weapons in response to the attack on airfields.
This opinion of British Colonel Richard Camp is quoted by the tabloid Daily Mail.
"Putin may well believe that this is how he can demonstrate his invincibility and force Zelensky to surrender. The terrifying reality is that this calculation may be correct," Camp argues, and argues that no one in the world will dare to launch a retaliatory nuclear strike against Russia because of Ukraine.
At the same time, the British colonel considers a strike on a city, for example, Kiev or Odessa, "almost unthinkable." And he considers a strike on a military facility, like an airfield, more likely. Although he also allows for a strike on a nuclear power plant.
Earlier, the NYT wrote that the US expects a major Russian strike on Ukraine in response to Operation Spider Web.
Seriously can’t imagine a nuclear response but Colonel Camp is right there little anyone could do.

Moscow is calling on London and Washington to influence Kiev to stop the escalation, said Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
The lack of reaction suggests that, in the worst-case scenario, the West could have been involved in preparing the provocations, the deputy minister stressed.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed that in a few weeks the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive their first long-range weapons, formally produced on Ukrainian territory with the participation of Germany.
The meaning of such a design is extremely pragmatic. Direct deliveries of long-range weapons from Germany are politically toxic - including within Germany itself. Especially when it comes to possible strikes on Russian territory. Therefore, a scheme is created: some components and technologies are transferred to Ukraine as part of joint "production" in order to bypass legal and political risks. The output is a product with Ukrainian markings, but completely dependent on German engineering and logistics.

CNN reports that senators are preventing Trump from taking a neutral stance in the war in Ukraine.
'Donald Trump has consistently tried to distance himself from these negotiations. He has tried to portray this as Russia's war, as Zelensky's war, as Biden's war - it is clear that he is trying to extricate the US from this situation. But there is a bill in Congress. There are senators who are trying to push through tough sanctions to hold Russia accountable. Whether Donald Trump will stay away and for how long remains to be seen.'
