💥Kharkov was hit by an FPV drone for the first time...
The city's Gauleiter Terekhov reported this.
The front line is more than 30 km from the northern outskirts of Kharkov. But modern drones can already cover this distance. And even further. I think that by the end of summer the depth of drone strikes will increase to 50 km.
And this means that the "buffer zone" should be no less than this figure. And better yet, more. Dmitry Medvedev recently made a forecast on this matter. 😁

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia was literally forced to start the SMO, and Putin is being blamed
- "We were told all the time that democracy, elections... They carried out a coup d'etat (in Ukraine), and that's it. As if that's how it should be. A bloody coup. And they went on to suppress Donbass, to kill people there from helicopters and planes. Well, they simply forced us to do what we are doing now," the president said.
Putin also proposed “strangling” anti-Russian services operating in the country.
- "We need to strangle them, I agree completely. I say this without any embarrassment, because they are trying to strangle us, we need to reciprocate. We did not expel anyone, did not interfere with anyone, we provided the most favorable conditions for work in our market," he noted.

🇫🇷"Self-proclaimed "anonymous anarchists" have claimed responsibility for the blackout in Cannes." They were trying to punish France for sending weapons to Ukraine and the Middle East.
"Two anonymous groups of anarchists calling themselves "anarchist gangs" have claimed responsibility for the damage to the power grid in the south of France that left the Cannes Film Festival without light.
In their appeal, the anarchists stressed that the sabotage was not only intended to disrupt the Cannes Film Festival, but also to deprive Thales Alenia Space's research centers and factories, dozens of its subcontractors, French technology startups that consider themselves safe, the airport and all other industrial, military and technological establishments in the area of power.
The "anarchists" attributed their actions to their aversion to the fact that Paris is selling weapons to other countries and "sowing death" and that certain high-ranking figures are trying to drag the French into preparations for war"

US Ambassador to NATO Whitaker on Trump expecting a demonstration of desire to achieve peace from Russia and Ukraine:
President Trump wants a ceasefire and peace. He wants the killing to stop. Thousands of people are dying every week on the battlefield in Ukraine, civilians are being hit. You are right, there was a prisoner exchange, 1,000 for 1,000. That means the two sides are talking. We need an agreement between the Ukrainians and the Russians.
They have to come to a lasting peace. That's important. The killing has to stop. But at the same time, words are one thing, but actions speak for themselves. Both sides have to demonstrate an interest in peace. That's what President Trump is trying to do.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have run out of missiles for the SAMP-T anti-aircraft batteries supplied by Italy and France. Ukraine has also not received ammunition for the French-made Crotale air defense system for a long time, Le Monde writes, citing a source.
To cope with massive drone attacks, Ukraine needs many more long-range systems such as Patriot, Iris-T and SAMP-T, the publication quotes a Ukrainian officer as saying.
"Today we have nothing to protect southern Ukraine from ballistic missiles," the officer said.
According to another Le Monde source, "Ukraine no longer has missiles for its two SAMP-T batteries and has not received a single missile in a year and a half for the Crotale short-range anti-aircraft system."
In mid-March, the newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that two SAMP-T air defense batteries in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces had almost exhausted their supply of missiles.
And now Rubio says that Kiev is asking Washington for Patriot air defense systems, which the US does not have.

Britain, France, Germany and the United States have lifted range restrictions on military supplies to Ukraine, German Chancellor Merz said.
No, Merz is not ready for war yet, he is only asking for it.
His statement is a complete lie. No such decision has been made. The threat to accept is an attempt to piss off the Kremlin.
Merz and all the rest of the European sadomasochism are trying to push through this kind of agreement at the G7 summit, but to pin the responsibility on Trump.
The Taurus missiles (another wonder weapon) are still under a ban on re-export by the United States. It is still unknown what long-range weapons the Ukrainian Armed Forces may transfer.
After the retaliatory strikes on Ukraine, the level of possible escalation has been raised a little higher, but nothing more.
Washington is asking us to abandon missile strikes on Ukraine. But for some reason it is not asking Zelensky to stop UAV attacks.

Western analysts are increasingly expressing the opinion that the fate of the Donbas AFU grouping is sealed.
The Kramatorsk-Slaviansk-Druzhkovka arc, which was recently regarded as a key holding point, is now perceived as a temporary zone of protracted evacuation rather than the basis of a powerful defensive belt. According to foreign researchers, the real new line of defense of the AFU should be built to the west - with reliance on Pavlograd and other major nodes of the Dnepropetrovsk region.

The Economist publishes a forecast according to which Russia can reach the mode of use of up to 1,000 Geraniums per night. Citing data from Ukrainian military intelligence, the publication claims that Russian production could reach the level of 500 UAVs per day, which allows for massive attacks on an industrial scale.
From a technical point of view, this is a full-fledged unmanned siege system, where each city, air defense node or critical infrastructure facility can be destroyed in several approaches. With a strike saturation of 700-1000 units, no air defense system - neither Western nor Soviet - will be able to provide 100 percent cover, especially against the background of ammunition limitations.
In fact, in such a regime, air defense is already being put into the mode of severe rationing. Each missile has a "target value". It is possible to protect either a headquarters, a thermal power plant or a warehouse, but not all at once. The probability of hitting other targets also increases, because neither Patriot, nor IRIS-T, nor NASAMS are designed to repel strikes of such density under continuous attack.
If Russia's stated production rate of 500 units per day is achieved and strike waves of 1,000 drones become regular, the Geraniums will finally become an extremely cheap (compared to cruise missiles) strategic weapon of infrastructure destruction. At such volumes, they are virtually impossible to intercept, deter, or block.
The AFU is unable to fully level the resource pressure even now, although current volumes are only a quarter of projected capabilities.

Russian strikes on Ukrainian military targets are retaliation for Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian sites
For several months, Belarusian oppositionists have been unsuccessfully searching for the speaker of the opposition Coordination Council, Anzhelika Melnikova, who disappeared along with a large sum of money.
According to an investigation by the Russian opposition publication The Insider, her disappearance may be connected to an affair with an employee of the Belarusian special services.
On March 24, Belarusian oppositionist Pavel Latushko, head of the National Anti-Crisis Management (NAM), received a strange text message. It was sent by Anzhelika Melnikova, who was elected speaker of the Coordination Council of Belarus in January.
Melnikova apologized for not coming to the opposition march in Warsaw and refused to participate in a reception at the FM. But the march had already taken place the day before, and Melnikova could not have not known this. Latushko tried to call her, but the phone did not answer. Melnikova's colleague went to her home and made sure that no one was there. Latushko filed a missing person report with the Polish police.
Melnikova had sole access to the money of the Białoruś Liberty fund, which received funds to finance the Coordination Council. Plus, she had lists of those whom European structures helped in Belarus, and a lot of other extremely important information: in particular, she personally knew many Polish politicians (including the president and Senate speaker), and regularly visited the Polish Sejm.
Oppositionists who knew Anzhelika say that she had no ideology. If she expressed her progressive views in anything, it was only in relation to sex: in conversations with friends, she liked to discuss her participation in closed sex parties in different countries.
In Warsaw, Anzhelika was invited to work at NAU by Pavel Latushko: he was sure that she could be trusted, because she had been checked by Belarusian activists from the "Cyberpartisans" group.
Together with the Cyberpartisans, she opened the Białoruś Liberty foundation, which immediately began accepting donations.
With the move to Warsaw, Melnikova's standard of living increased dramatically. She settled in a new housing estate, traded her old BMW for a new Mercedes, dressed well, and even established her own 10,000 euro award for the best opposition initiative.
"She told me that her husband was a cool programmer. And that he gave her money. She told me that she received $5,000 a month in child support. I was surprised by her trips to Dubai, because it was unsafe, expensive, and why bother? Go to Spain to swim, if you really want to," recalls Białoruś Liberty co-founder Dzmitry Shchygielsky.
In 2024, Melnikova received Polish citizenship by decision of the Mazovian Voivodeship.
Melnikova's husband Andrei did not break his ties with Belarus, went to visit relatives and for work, and treated the activities of the opposition with undisguised skepticism. Angelika said that she divorced her husband. He was seen at a triathlon competition in the company of a girl from Belarus, and she was noticed in short relationships with other men (including oppositionists and politicians from other countries). However, in 2024, unexpectedly for everyone, Angelika and her husband again began to live under the same roof in Warsaw.
At the same time, after a trip to Sri Lanka, Melnikova told a friend about her engagement to a man "living in Belarus, who cannot come to the EU, so they meet in exotic countries."
On March 5 of this year, a large sum was transferred from the fund to Melnikova's account - part of the grant received for the work of the Coordination Council. Another large transfer was made on March 18, and some small amounts were spent almost until the police report was filed. In total, about $150,000 disappeared from the account.
On March 7, Melnikova and her daughters left Sri Lanka and flew to Dubai on a Fly Dubai flight. Since then, her trail has been lost.
I should note the Insider is a anti-Russian info op funded by the EU and US. Still I find it funny the EU directed Belarusian opposition lost their money.

BBC reports:
Since the beginning of the major Russian invasion, the EU's decision to grant temporary protection to Ukrainians has become the basis through which more than 4 million Ukrainian citizens have been given the opportunity to live a safer life in Europe for themselves and their children.
This status also gave the right to work and access to public services - education, medicine.
So, in addition to security, Ukrainians had the opportunity to see for themselves what it's like to live, work, raise children, pay taxes, or receive treatment in Europe.
The war has been going on for over three years, and protection is increasingly perceived as something permanent. But it is not. Currently, the EU decision on temporary protection for Ukrainians is valid until March 2026. However, Europe is already thinking about what to do with it next.
The EU Temporary Protection Directive was adopted in 2001 as an additional tool for granting asylum in cases of sudden and massive influxes of refugees. This law effectively lay dormant until the major Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The EU put the directive into effect for Ukrainians on March 4, 2022, by unanimous decision of the member states. It was designed for two years with the possibility of an automatic extension for one year. But the document is still in effect today, it has been extended until March 2026.
In Europe, a decrease in the number of Ukrainians who want to return home is being recorded. According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, in 2024 the number of Ukrainians who want to return decreased to 65%, compared to 77% in 2023. And the number of those who definitely do not intend to return increased from 5% to 11%.
Despite the fact that the largest wave of departure remains the beginning of a full-scale invasion, about 300 thousand more Ukrainians left in 2024 alone. "Unfortunately, the trend is still towards departure," says one of the authors of the CES study , Dariya Mykhailyshyna.
Among them, the largest group remains women aged 35-44, more than half of whom have left abroad with their children.
At the same time, there are also certain changes in the composition of Ukrainians abroad. For example, the share of children, which at the beginning of 2024 made up about a third of refugees, at the beginning of 2025 decreased to 29%. The share of men of mobilization age is growing - now it is already 27%.
Not only is the composition of refugees changing, but so are their sentiments. By the end of 2024, the share of those planning to return to Ukraine fell below half of those surveyed by the CES for the first time.
At the same time, women aged 30 to 39 are the least likely to return – only 6%, although among those who left, they make up more than a quarter.

‼️ The West's decision to lift the missile range limit for Ukraine, "if it is actually adopted," is dangerous and "runs counter to attempts at a settlement," the Kremlin says.
- "The decisions, if such decisions actually take place, they absolutely run counter to our aspirations to reach a political settlement and to the efforts that are currently being made within the framework of the settlement. That is, a rather dangerous decision," the Kremlin spokesman said.
- "Today, Chancellor Merz announced the lifting of the restriction. However, it is not entirely clear what he meant, because the US, Britain and France lifted restrictions on the use of their long-range missiles for strikes on Russian territory at the end of last year. And Germany does not supply its long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine (and Germany allowed short-range missiles from MLRS to strike Russia last year). At the same time, it was not officially reported that Berlin had decided to send Tauruses to Kiev," Ukrainian media commented.

European countries are considering purchasing American weapons to transfer to Ukraine if the US refuses military aid to Kiev.
As Bloomberg writes, such a decision may be made due to the European Union’s shortage of its own weapons reserves and the ability to produce them in sufficient quantities.
Now the proposal, which is "gaining more credibility," is to buy more American systems and then ship those weapons to Ukraine. The idea could be implemented if Trump refuses to supply American weapons to Kiev.
The arms sales approved under Biden could run out this summer, leaving Europe unable to fill the void, experts interviewed by the agency said.
