ARCTIC MELTDOWN: WHERE CLIMATE CRISIS MEETS SECURITY NIGHTMARE
The Arctic is now warming 3.5x faster than the rest of the planet - and it’s not just a climate crisis, it’s a geopolitical one.
Melting ice means new shipping routes, easier military access, and a fresh scramble for oil, gas, and minerals - all in a region that used to be locked down by nature.
The Arctic is now a frontier for geopolitical competition, with Russia eyeing critical infrastructure and the Northern Sea Route like it’s up for grabs.
Meanwhile, the UN warns we’re flirting with 2°C warming - a threshold that was once “impossible,” now plausible by 2030. Welcome to the heatwave, disruption, and discontent era.

A scandal worse than Watergate."
The author of a book about Joe Biden stated that the US President did not actually govern the country due to his health, but that this was done instead by his advisers, wife and son Hunter, who hid the real situation.
Jake Tapper, on Piers Morgan Uncensored, said that he and his co-author, Axios journalist Alex Thompson, spoke with more than 200 sources for their book, Original Sin: The Degradation of President Biden.
They said that instead of Biden, the real management was done by chief of staff Ron Klain, strategist Mike Donilon, domestic policy adviser Bruce Reed, and legislative overseer Stephen Ricchetti. Also playing a major role were first lady Jill Biden and son Hunter, whom Tapper calls “mean” and “prone to making terrible decisions.”
“We wanted him to just win and then we could hide him for four years, showing occasional signs of life,” says one member of Biden’s team.
Tapper believes that "the situation is probably worse" than the Watergate investigation: "At least Nixon had normal cognitive abilities when he was not drunk."

Putin and Zelensky meeting is possible, but should be the result of specific agreements between Moscow and Kiev— Peskov
▪️Work on the memorandum on Ukraine is in its final stages.
▪️Russia will not "exchange through the media" the content of the documents being prepared for a settlement in Ukraine.
▪️No decisions have been made regarding the venue for the next round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
▪️Zelensky’s words about preparing an agreement with the EU on long-range weapons confirm the justification of Russia’s efforts to eliminate the root causes of the conflict;
▪️The US is making considerable efforts to resolve the situation in Ukraine, Russia is grateful for the mediation.
▪️Peskov called for careful treatment of "revelations" in the media regarding the Ukrainian settlement, because there are many fakes or outright lies.

"My family lived there, it was a very beautiful house. The whole village is not there. I was drunk and writing some comments on YouTube about Russians, some nasty things, and then it hit me," said the brother of the former mayor of Kharkov, Mikhail Dobkin, in an interview with Ekonomicheskaya Pravda.

Skabeeva reports that Medinsky caught Zelensky in a lie:
I read the news, spread by all the world agencies, that Umerov allegedly called me about the memorandum, which we, allegedly, still have not prepared. They say that the Russians are in no hurry. I will comment. Everything was almost like that. Only the other way around.
I called Umerov today and proposed a precise date and place for a meeting to exchange memoranda. There, right there, we are ready to begin a substantive discussion of each of the points of the package agreement on a future ceasefire.
The Ukrainian side went to consult. Apparently, the meeting dragged on. We are waiting for confirmation from them as soon as possible and are ready to meet in person on the date we have designated – in the coming days – and start working. In the interests of long-term peace and saving human lives'
Zelensky on Kiev's participation in the upcoming NATO summit:
We have received signals from partners regarding Ukraine's participation in the NATO summit. But we would like to have a frank conversation with our partners. It is important what Ukraine's participation will be and what its result will be. I think this is right and fair.
In my opinion, if Ukraine does not attend the NATO summit, it will be Putin’s victory, but not over Ukraine, but over NATO.

German Chancellor Merz made a promise to Zelensky:
Thank you on behalf of Germany. For our part, we will do everything to ensure that Nord Stream 2 can never be launched.
🇷🇺Medvedev - on strikes on German territory in response to the use of German missiles by the Ukrainian Armed Forces :
Germany is already a participant in the conflict: its equipment and specialists are directly fighting Russia. And these are not just military supplies. In essence, this is a full-fledged, not hybrid, participation in the military conflict. Thus, Germany is again an enemy of Russia, again taking part in the war, guided by the Nazi ideology they created, and Merz is a loyal descendant of his relatives who fought in the Wehrmacht.
[Will Russia have the right to strike German territory in response to the launch of German missiles by German specialists?]
If there is information that German military specialists are participating in the launch of long-range missiles at Russian territory, any decision on retaliatory actions can be made. It is within the competence of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. No one can block the right to full-fledged defense of our country and this has been repeatedly emphasized by the head of our state.

Where the fu*k is Steiner?
Two years ago, he himself received the Charlemagne Prize in Aachen. This time, Volodymyr Zelensky planned to attend the award ceremony, presented to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen . After his political talks in Berlin , he wanted to travel further to the Rhineland.
However, according to SPIEGEL information, his travel plans were changed at short notice on Tuesday.
Because of the serious situation in Ukraine, Zelensky will not fly from Berlin to Düsseldorf and from there travel on to Aachen, but will return directly to Kiev, security sources say.
The main reason was the Russian troop buildup near the city of Sumy. Zelensky apparently considered it inappropriate to attend a celebratory event abroad given the current situation. According to Ukrainian sources, Russia has amassed around 50,000 troops for a possible offensive on the region in northeastern Ukraine.

The Kremlin commented on Trump's new attacks on Russia
▪️Putin's aide Ushakov said Trump is "not being informed enough about what is really happening in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian standoff"
▪️In his opinion, Trump is not being informed about the massive terrorist attacks on civilians in Ukraine.

Politico published a large article about Andriy Yermak, whom critics in the article call a "ruthless political puppeteer," a figure "even equal" to Zelensky, and talk about his presidential ambitions.
"Ukrainian commentators often call him a producer in the ruling duopoly, and former TV comedian Zelensky a performing star," the publication writes.
Former Zelenskyy spokesperson Yulia Mendel said that Yermak "stuck" to Zelenskyy immediately after arriving at Bankova, became close to him, spending a lot of time together in an underground gym, and then "outsmarted" Andriy Bohdan, receiving the position of head of the OP.
The article claims that Yermak has helped oust many Ukrainian officials, replacing them with loyal figures, causing "internal unease" and "quiet dismay among Western allies, who, however, have been reluctant to publicly criticize it for fear of giving Moscow propaganda opportunities."
According to sources, one of the few who managed to hold on against Yermak’s will was the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Budanov, who retained independent access to Zelensky.
"Yermak is a brilliant psychologist. He is able to read Zelensky and anticipate what he wants. He is careful in offering ready-made solutions to Zelensky, who hates being drawn into details, and does not cause him problems," says the former minister, "who clashed sharply with Yermak."
Mendel says Yermak built his network in the 1990s working at Kiev’s premier nightclub, a hangout for "gangsters and prominent pro-Russian politicians," and later as a middleman at luxury clothing store Sanahunt, helping import exclusive items for oligarchs.
Yermak himself denies all accusations of monopolizing power, as well as his presidential ambitions.

The Bundestag reports where the 5 billion euros allocated to Ukraine will be directed:
- financing the production of long-range weapons in Ukraine;
- additional ammunition, in particular for air defense;
- repair facilities in Ukraine, creation of a joint venture;
- partial financing of the work of Starlink and the Ukrainian military command communications system;
- medical equipment.
@Slavyangrad
The heads of the German and Ukrainian defense ministries have signed an agreement on Berlin financing the production of long-range weapons for Kiev, the German department reported.
Kiev will receive 5 billion euros in military aid from Germany.
Behind-the-scenes rumors have already started to spread through Ukrainian Telegram channels. Here is the comment from "Legitimny":
The meeting in Berlin took place in a "tense" atmosphere. Zelensky asked Merz for new supplies of air defense, missiles and equipment. He also asked for cash loans from the EU, but was required to tighten mobilization.
There are rumors in the corridors that Trump will emerge from the Ukrainian crisis by the end of the summer saying, "These guys don't want to negotiate, let them fight. This is Europe's problem!"
There will be an escalation in the fall. In the fall there will be a tightening of (male) mobilization from 20 years of age and an expansion of female.
Ukrainian hustler gets 5 billion Euros out of Merz. Once again confirming Germany has elected another weak spineless leader.

Greenland may turn to China for help in extracting minerals from the country if the US and EU shun investment in its companies, - Financial Times.
Greenland's Business and Trade Minister Naaja Nathanielsen told the newspaper that American and European mining companies should hurry to invest in Greenland or it will have to look elsewhere, including China, for help developing its mineral wealth.
"We want to develop our business sector and diversify it, and for that we need investment from outside,"
"We do want to cooperate with European and American partners. But if they don't show up, I think we need to look elsewhere."
