WABEKBON Development Consultant PLC, a leading consulting firm based in Addis Ababa, is seeking a highly qualified Finance Manager to join our WABEKBON- Milkomi Business Group located in Bole Sub City, Bole Medanalem area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our corporate businesses and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the financial aspects of the WABEKBON- Milkomi Business Group, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, cash management, and banking operations
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making
• Manage the Peachtree accounting system and maintain accurate financial records
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to foster professional development and ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role for candidates with a Master's degree, or 10 years of experience for candidates with a Bachelor's degree
• Proven track record of closing accounts, auditing, and implementing IFRS standards
• Proficiency in using Peachtree accounting software and other financial management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Fluency in English, Afan Oromo and Amharic
Compensation:
The salary for this position is negotiable and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
