— 🇮🇱/🇺🇸 An Israeli ad-tech company was the leading bidder for ads shown to SpaceX Starlink users in more than 100 countries, including several where the service is banned, according to six people familiar with research by cybersecurity firm TrendAI who spoke to Reuters.
Researchers believe the ads were likely used to locate or monitor Starlink users. TrendAI’s October 15 report described the activity but did not name Discover-Tech, which five sources said followed legal concerns raised by company executives.
Discover-Tech is already under scrutiny after Citizen Lab and Confiant linked its ads to spyware attacks on Al Jazeera devices. The company did not respond to requests for comment.

— 🇮🇱 ANALYSIS: Could record voter turnout signal growing “Bibi fatigue” in Israel?
High voter turnout in Israel’s elections could reflect mounting frustration with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but it also highlights the deep divisions shaping the country’s political landscape.
Early indications of strong participation, particularly among younger voters, suggest a highly mobilised electorate. Some analysts believe opposition supporters are more motivated to vote, while enthusiasm within Netanyahu’s camp may be weaker.
However, high turnout does not necessarily translate into an opposition victory. Divisions within both political blocs, combined with Israel’s 3.25% electoral threshold, could determine whether either side secures enough seats to govern.
The election may ultimately produce another fragmented parliament, leaving the possibility of a national unity government or further political deadlock.
Beyond Netanyahu’s political future, the vote also raises broader questions about Israel’s military policies, international standing and whether voters are seeking a different direction after years of conflict.
