"आर्यों (उनके अनुसार ब्राह्मण) ने शूद्रों को न्यूनतम भोजन दिया और उनसे कड़ी मेहनत करवाई। शूद्रों की स्थिति मवेशियों से भी बदतर थी। यहां तक कि अमेरिका में अफ्रीकी गुलामों (जो खरीद-बिक्री के अधीन थे) के साथ शूद्रों से बेहतर व्यवहार किया जाता था"
किताब में ब्राह्मणों के बारे में और भी कई आपत्तिजनक बातें लिखी गई हैं!
अपनी किताब "ग़ुलामगिरी" में ज्योतिराव फुले ने लिखा है:
1. ब्राह्मण ईरान से आये थे।
2. भगवान परशुराम ने महारों को मार डाला और उन्होंने महार और मांग महिलाओं के गले में खौलता हुआ तेल और सिन्दूर डाल दिया। यह तब तक जारी रहा जब तक मुस्लिम शक्तियों ने इसे बंद नहीं कर दिया।

फुले की किताब में लिखा है-
"शंकराचार्य ने तुर्कों और मराठों से मित्रता की और दोनों ने मिलकर बौद्धों को नष्ट कर दिया। फिर महान मुहम्मद आए जिन्होंने अपने एकेश्वरवादी धर्म के साथ भारत में प्रवेश किया और झूठे आर्य धर्म को बर्बाद कर दिया और मूर्तियों और पूजा स्थलों को नष्ट कर दिया। उन्होंने शूद्रों को समानता का परिचय देकर उन्हें इस्लाम के मार्ग पर लाकर वास्तविक मार्ग दिखाया।"
फुले अपनी किताब में आदि शंकराचार्य को "धूर्त" कहते हैं, मुकुंदराज और ज्ञानेश्वर जैसे संतों को "कपटी" कहते हैं और शिवाजी महाराज को "अज्ञानी और निरक्षर" कहते हैं।
ज्योतिराव फुले लिखते हैं:
"ईसा मसीह के अनुयायी अमेरिकी और स्कॉटिश मिशनरियों ने शूद्रों की इतनी परवाह की कि उन्हें मुक्त कराने के लिए उन्होंने अपनी मातृभूमि छोड़ दी। इसलिए ब्राह्मण अंग्रेजों को देश से भगाना चाहते हैं! इसी वजह से ब्राह्मण शूद्रों को ईसा मसीह (अंग्रेजी सरकार) के अनुयायियों के खिलाफ लड़ने के लिए उकसा रहे हैं।"
ज्योतिराव की किताब में देवी गायत्री को "यावनी (outsider non indian women)", ब्राह्मण को "भाटमुल्ला", भगवान विष्णु के वामन अवतार को "बंब्या (illiterate)", "घातकी (one who deceives)", "लबाड (Liar)" और "कृतघ्न (ungrateful)" बताया गया है!
