Iraqi authorities have arrested 40 individuals accused of promoting Ba’athist ideology and plotting acts of sabotage. According to the Iraqi National Security Agency (INSS), the group was involved in spreading sectarian rhetoric and destabilising the country, in clear violation of Iraq’s 2016 anti-Ba’athist law.
Some were reportedly backed and funded by foreign actors. One online group, “Brigade 66,” operating from abroad, was linked to the dissemination of banned Ba’athist propaganda. The INSS affirmed that it will continue to pursue and dismantle such networks.

After a so-called ceasefire, fighting has not only resumed but intensified. Tribal militias loyal to Damascus are reportedly preparing for a renewed assault on Suwayda, with large convoys seen en route to the province. The governor of Suwayda, Mustafa Al-Bakour, has publicly declared that unless government officials are allowed entry into the city, all essential services such as water, electricity, and basic infrastructure will remain cut off, effectively punishing the civilian population. Despite this pressure and the ceasefire declaration, Bedouin militias backed by the interim government have continued attacks on villages like Areeqa, Rimah, Hazem, and Shahba, inflicting destruction, displacing families, and deepening the humanitarian crisis. Fires have consumed civilian homes, mortar shells have left significant damage, and basic survival is at risk.
Hikmat al-Hijri’s Druze Unitarian leadership has demanded an immediate halt to all attacks and the complete withdrawal of all state-aligned forces, including the army, security agencies, and militias from the mountain and its surrounding towns. Yet the mobilization of Bedouin fighters continues, emboldened by the removal of internal security checkpoints along their routes, a clear sign of official complicity. The scheduled prisoner exchange in Umm al-Zaytoun has already failed.
All of this fits into a broader plan conceived after the 2006 war, when Israeli strategic institutions concluded that to dismantle the Axis of Resistance, Syria must be dismembered. Syria, serving as the vital artery linking Hezbollah, Iran, and Palestinian factions, had to be cut off from the equation. The war launched in 2011 was never a spontaneous uprising but a calculated foreign operation. Extremist proxies were injected into Syria, sectarian divisions were inflamed, and Western media sanitized terrorism under the false guise of democratic revolution. The goal was always state fragmentation: an Alawite coastal strip, a Sunni Arab center, a Kurdish north, and scattered Druze and Christian enclaves, all severed from each other and stripped of influence.
The events in Suwayda are the continuation of that strategy. The tribal attacks, the role of HTS, the retreat of Julani, the removal of Syrian security barriers, and the intensifying Israeli involvement all point to a multi-command operation. While many field-level fighters may remain unaware of the broader objectives, the leadership coordinating these offensives is fully aligned with the agenda of fragmentation. Suwayda is not just under siege; it is at the epicenter of an international effort to crush any remaining cohesive force that might resist the final phase of the map-redrawing project. This is not chaos. It is an engineered, layered campaign of collapse.

In Areeqa, medium weapons and mortar shells have caused significant material damage, with fires breaking out in civilian homes amid the continued shelling and an increasingly dire humanitarian situation in Suwayda.

Imam Sajjad (A) fought against distortion in Islam and guided thousands of sahaba and tabi‘een on foundational jurisprudential and theological issues. Many Sunni Imams studied under him. Imam of Ahlul Sunnah Hazrat Muhammad ibn Muslim al-Zuhri said, “I found no Hashemite greater or more knowledgeable than him in jurisprudence.” Al-Shafi‘i said, “He was the most knowledgeable in jurisprudence in Madina.”
Imam was politically conscious and resisted Umayyad hegemony. They never tried to extract allegiance from him. In 95 Hijrah, unable to bear his spiritual and intellectual influence, Walid poisoned him. He had earlier been summoned to Damascus twice and once imprisoned briefly by the Umayyads. Despite everything he was martyred with deadly poison on the very day of 25/01/95 Hijrah, today we mourn his martyrdom.
He cried for 39 years remembering every single tragedy of Karbala. When someone told him martyrdom is an honor, why cry, he replied it was not just martyrdom; it was watching the unveiled daughters of the Prophet being paraded in chains through 30 cities, seeing 180 of his companions massacred, burying his sisters in prison, and witnessing the daughters of Imam Ali (A) introduced by Yazid’s soldiers in Shaam’s court. He saw the lashes fall on the granddaughter of the Prophet. He saw his father’s head raised on a spear while the people chanted around it. He saw the earrings ripped from little girls and their tents set ablaze while they screamed for water and safety. He saw his aunt Zaynab (S) stand firm to protect the remaining family while her own veil was snatched. He saw how even a sick, wounded man like himself was chained from neck to feet and dragged from Karbala to Kufa and then Damascus. He saw the people of Sham laugh while the daughters of the Prophet sat weeping in humiliation. He saw children begging for water and food while guards mocked them. Imam Sajjad (A) witnessed the burning of sacred tents, the looting of the Prophet’s family, and the silence of those who claimed to follow Islam.
Imam Sajjad (A) was married to Sayyidah Fatima bint Imam Hasan (A), with whom he had four children. He also had other wives and freed slaves, including Jayda Sindhiya of Indian origin, who was the mother of Zayd al-Shaheed. In total, he had fifteen children, including prominent sons like Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (A), Zayd al-Shaheed, Amr al-Ashraf, Husayn al-Asghar (ancestor of Ayatullah Sistani), Abdullah al-Bahir and Ali al-Thani (ancestor of Imam Khamenei) and daughters like Sayyidah Khadija and Sayyidah Aliyyah.
O Allah, curse those who violated the sanctity of the family of Your Prophet, who imprisoned and humiliated Imam Sajjad (A) after Karbala.
Curse be upon those who shackled the neck of Your saint, dragged him in chains, and paraded him through cities while he mourned his father.
May Your eternal curse be upon the tyrants of Banu Umayya who poisoned Imam Sajjad (A) and tried to silence his voice of truth.

✅ | Reacting with mockery or blind anger to Iran’s readiness to engage in talks with the European Troika is not the correct approach. Diplomacy must be conducted with strategy, not compromise, and without sacrificing revolutionary principles. What Hamas is currently doing in Doha also falls within the realm of negotiation. The issue is not about whether to talk, but how and on what terms the talks are conducted.
If negotiations are approached in the spirit of betrayal, as seen during the Zarif-era compromises, then they must be exposed and rejected. But if they are approached with revolutionary resolve and national dignity, as Imam Khamenei emphasized on 16 July 2025 when he spoke of strategic and devotional revolutionary diplomacy, then they are not only acceptable but necessary.
Imam Khamenei had already responded earlier in January 2025 to critics questioning why Iran negotiates with Europeans but not the Americans.
[He Said: “America had taken possession of this place, but it was pulled out from its grasp. Hence, its hatred toward our country and revolution is like the grudge of a camel, long and intense. It will not let go easily. America was defeated in Iran, and it seeks to compensate for that defeat.]
It is important to note, as confirmed by Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran, that it was not Iran but Europe that requested the new round of negotiations. Iran has agreed to this based on national interests, not submission. The upcoming round of talks between Iran and the European Troika will take place early next week at the deputy foreign ministers level. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht Ravanchi, will lead the Iranian delegation. The discussions will focus on the role of European countries within the nuclear agreement and specifically address the issue of the “trigger mechanism.” These talks will be held in a separate framework from the indirect negotiations previously conducted with Washington. Iran maintains that the European Troika remains part of the nuclear deal and insists they fulfill their obligations under the agreement.
We must avoid the cancel-culture mindset of “cancel this, cancel that.” Revolutionary diplomacy is not abandonment of principles. It is their defense through calculated engagement. There are procedures and frameworks, and those must be respected. Imam Khamenei’s position will become public soon. The only question is what has Iran learned from previous rounds of talks in Oman, Istanbul, or elsewhere.
And if these new talks proceed, what will be the preconditions? After the June 13 attacks, the public is rightly demanding clarity and guarantees. What are the security mechanisms being put in place so Iran is not caught off-guard again during talks?
The challenge is not whether to negotiate, but whether we do so from a position of resistance, without naivety, and with full readiness to hold our ground.

The Arab Tribal Army continues attacking Ariqa for well over 24 hours now, with no success in breaching its defenses. The town remains under Druze control, and reports of it being under Bedouin control are false.
In just the last few moments Druze separatists, SMC, have launched a counterattack in the al-Majdal direction from Murdok.
Druze frontline sources say there's a build-up of Arab Tribal Army forces in al-Huquf and al-Qasr. The forces are likely preparing to launch a new attack on al-Buthainah, the initial one two days ago failed.

During his address, he emphasized the stance of Imam Khamenei, which we referenced yesterday. The aim was to clarify the ideological background and official positioning of Mr. Ali Larijani.
It’s important to wake up from shallow criticisms and understand the realities of state dynamics, particularly when it comes to core values. Just like others, we firmly reject reformist compromises. However, misrepresenting Mr. Larijani by targeting his past affiliations or networks is irrelevant. In contrast, Saeed Jalili is undeniably from a revolutionary background, but even his supporters must admit he may not be ideal for the task the Leader is currently envisioning; a task Mr. Larijani is perhaps more suited for.
Mr. Larijani played a crucial role during last year’s unrest, including high-level diplomatic missions to Lebanon, Syria, and now Russia. He currently stands as one of the closest and most significant aides to Imam Khamenei. Mocking or undermining him is effectively an attack on the Leader’s circle. The narrative that attempts to depict the Leader’s office as “captured” is pure monarchist fabrication and must be rejected for the fraud it is.
We usually avoid bringing internal matters into public discourse, but in this case, silence would be a disservice. It is important to address the ongoing reactions following Larijani’s participation in a Ḥusayni ceremony, where he gave a speech marked by important discussions related to the stance of Leadership in the upcoming issues. So those who criticise must learn that While rhetorical power has its place, there is a clear distinction between delivering emotionally charged speeches and engaging directly with the on-ground crises that require hands-on leadership and nuanced understanding.
Those who follow Mr. Jalili, May Allah protect him, who is a man of respected revolutionary credentials must also assess what their group has actually contributed during recent critical junctures. What actions are being taken? What responsibilities are being carried? And what sacrifices are being made compared to other key figures, especially Mr. Ali Larijani, whose fieldwork, strategic diplomacy, and activeness to the system during times of unrest have been decisive. Mr. Jalili remains a respected figure, but not everything he says today should be treated as absolute or beyond critique.
Imam Khamenei has consistently called for national unity across ideological divides. His close office aide, Mr. Fazaeli, recently reiterated this point: the foremost priority at this sensitive moment is to protect cohesion among the various political, revolutionary, and religious factions within the country. Creating fractures through indirect attacks, polarizing language, or personal rivalries only weakens the Islamic Republic’s internal strength. Any narrative that dismisses or delegitimizes the role of pivotal figures like Mr. Larijani not only distorts reality but ultimately undermines the leadership itself.
We will stand by and support everyone’s stance until they either confirm betrayal or abandon the right path.

Imam Khamenei has done a lot of steel work as a leader, shining among the efforts to unite the different poles of political agendas and natural responses like any state. He stood firm and remained a shelter for all, even for the excluded, dragged, and mocked, until they exceeded limits and betrayed. Even those who betrayed did not face what American politics faces. This was the most important achievement of this leadership.

🏴 | Tonight we commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad (A), the son of Imam Husayn (A), the fourth Imam from Ahlulbayt (A). He was poisoned and martyred on 25th Muharram 95 Hijri by the Umayyad ruler Walid ibn Abdul Malik ibn Marwan. His mother was Shihr Banu [or, according to some reports, Shahzanaan] (A), daughter of Yazdgerd, son of Shahriyar, the last Sasanian king of Persia. She passed away during childbirth. The Imam was renowned for his devotion and worship, known as Zayn al-Aabidin and Sayyid al-Sajideen. He was known for his generosity, his grand feasts for the poor, and his deep exegesis of the Qur’an and supplications during the time of his father Imam Husayn (A). His life can be divided into three major parts:
From birth to Karbala:
According to various sources, Imam Sajjad (A) was 23 years old during Karbala. Sunni scholar Imam Zuhri’s account is considered more authentic since he met the Imam many times. When Imam was born, his grandfather Imam Ali (A) was alive, and thus he lived through the last years of Imam Ali’s life. This period was spent mostly in Madina under the first three Imams.
From Karbala to return to Madina:
He was present in Karbala but very sick and could not stand or walk without a stick. He fell ill on the nights leading up to Ashura. During the raid on the tents, Yazidi forces wanted to kill him, but Sayyidah Zaynab (S) saved him and rescued him from the burning tent. Many of the heart-wrenching narrations about Karbala come from him. The most tragic include the moment he tried to identify his father before he departed for his final stand and the moment he saw his father’s severed head on a spear. He was captured with the women of Ahlulbayt, including his wife Sayyidah Fatima bint Imam Hasan (A) and his two-year-old son, Imam Baqir (A), the fifth Imam.
Upon being taken from Karbala to Kufa, they placed a heavy chain around his neck and tied his feet beneath the camel’s belly due to his illness. ‘Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad imprisoned him and the captives of Karbala while awaiting instructions from Yazid. Yazid ordered that the captives and the heads of the martyrs be sent to Damascus. Imam Sajjad (A) and the captives were transported by Muhaffar ibn Tha’laba. This 2700 km journey ended in Yazid’s court, where Imam Sajjad (A) delivered a powerful speech in the mosque of Damascus. He introduced himself, his father, and grandfather, exposing the lies Yazid had propagated. He clarified that his father was not a rebel but had risen to restore truth and purity to the religion corrupted by the Umayyads.
After a year of captivity, Yazid forcibly released them and allowed their return to Madina.
Post-Karbala Madinan life:
Imam Sajjad (A) lived 38-39 years after Karbala and worked tirelessly to preserve the memory of the martyrs. He wept for his father constantly. Imam Sadiq (A) narrated that Imam Sajjad (A) wept for forty years while fasting by day and praying by night. At the time of breaking fast, when his servant brought food and water, he would say, “The grandson of the Prophet was martyred hungry, the grandson of the Prophet was martyred thirsty” and wept until his tears mixed with his food and water. This state continued until his death.
He witnessed major political upheavals: Yazid’s attack on Makkah, the Harrah massacre in Madina, the uprisings of Mukhtar, Abdullah ibn Hanzala, and the Tawwabin all of these uprisings despite various issues were in memory and defense of Karbala and revenge.
Hazrat Malik ibn Anas said, “Ali b. al-Husayn (A) made a thousand rak‘a of prayers every day before his death. Thus, he was called Zayn al-Abidin.”
His legacy includes the most profound and spiritually dense collection of supplications he taught to his sons and companions the book known as Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya. He also authored Risalat al-Huquq and the famous Dua Abu Hamza Thumali. During this time, he worked to protect the Imamate and divine teachings.
