❗️The State Duma adopted in the first reading bills on the protection of foreign military personnel

The State Duma at a plenary session adopted in the first reading a package of bills providing legal protection for foreign citizens and stateless persons who are serving or have served contractual service in the Russian Armed Forces and participated in combat operations.

The documents prohibit administrative expulsion, deportation, cancellation of residence permits, refusal of entry, and declaring their stay undesirable in relation to such individuals. It also provides for the mandatory refusal to extradite them to foreign states at the request of extradition.

The bill secures legal stability for those who, not being Russian citizens, have shown loyalty to its interests and courage on the front line.

❗️The churching ceremony (воцерковление) of baby Vladimir Simeonovich Boikov, son of @AussieCossack, has taken place!

In the Eastern Orthodox tradition, a baby is brought to church for a special blessing after birth, usually around the fortieth day. This practice recalls the Presentation of Christ in the Temple and thanksgiving to God for the child and mother.

During the rite, the priest takes the child from the mother, lifts him at the church doors making the sign of the Cross, and carries him into the nave with prayers, acknowledging that the child is being brought into God’s house.

The priest proclaims:
“The servant of God (Name) is churched, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

There are variations in practice among different Orthodox traditions: the priest may carry the child around the Holy Table or place him in front of the icon of the Theotokos before returning him to the mother.

After the procession, the Song of Simeon is sung, the child is blessed with the Sign of the Cross on his forehead, mouth, and heart, and then he is returned to his godparent or mother.

On this day, Trotsky signed the circular "On the Treatment of Cossacks" was signed, marking the beginning of the mass extermination of the Russian Cossacks as a social class.

January 24 is traditionally considered "Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Cossack Genocide."

This day commemorates a people who, as a result of the tragic events of the previous century, nearly lost their incredible history and culture, their lives, their homes, and their conquests.
Genocide—or "decossackization"—was a policy pursued by the Trotskyites aimed at depriving the Cossacks of their political and military rights, depriving them of their historical places of residence, destroying their culture and traditions, and eliminating them as a social class within the Russian state.

With the start of the Special Military Operation, the role of Cossack service members has significantly increased. It immediately became clear that their military functions were far from exaggerated, and Russia once again needed Cossacks—brave, steadfast, true believers, and skilled military professionals.

Numerous Cossack volunteer units emerged. By the end of 2023, it became clear that, according to various estimates, between 35,000 and 95,000 Cossacks were fighting in the SMO zone. The Cossacks demonstrate superior combat skills, on par with fighters from elite military units.
