On January 21st, a memorial service was held in Donetsk at the cross for the soldiers who gave their lives for their homeland. On this day, 11 years ago, the airport was liberated by militia members.

The joint prayer was led by the head of the diocesan Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Archpriest Andrey Manych.

There were also direct participants of those events, Cossacks, volunteers, laypeople, all those who in one way or another contribute to the common victory.

Друзья, даже в эти праздничные дни января ни волонтёры, ни наши воины не расслаблялись ни на миг. Каждый трудился на вверенном ему участке фронта. Что касается меня, я проехала долгий путь от Донецка до Мариуполя и обратно, выполняя свой долг - молитвенный, поэтический, сестринский. Очень рада, что наконец смогла доставить аптечки, купленные при вашей финансовой поддержке. Аптечки уже сейчас спасают жизни ребят из батальона святого князя Андрея Боголюбского. Огромный вам привет от парней и самые искренние слова благодарности за помощь. А лично от меня - низкий поклон.

Мои дорогие читатели, мои друзья, мои близкие люди. Вы никогда не остаётесь в стороне, поддерживаете, вдохновляете всех нас. Отдельное спасибо неравнодушным русским людям из Китая, военкору Чжу Хаочжэну, австралийскому блогеру Семёну Бойкову, принявшим участие в сборе. Семён, если ты читаешь этот пост, обрати внимание, что на каждой аптечке есть шеврон с Курской-Коренной иконой Богородицы. Это и физическая, и духовная поддержка одновременно. Всё, как ты хотел.

А теперь к цифрам. Всего на аптечки было потрачено 100 тысяч рублей, остаток 4 тысячи. Запросы продолжают приходить, поэтому сбор продолжается. Бесспорно, чувствуется общая усталость. И если устали даже мы, мирные люди, что уж говорить о ребятах. Некоторые годами не видели свои семьи. Они живут только верой в победу, в свою страну, в каждого из нас. Поздравляем гостя рубрики "Мы Русские", блогера и патриота России, потомка забайкальских казаков Семена Бойкова с рождением сына! Уже совсем скоро состоятся Крестины мальчика.

Забайкальские казаки, уехавшие в Австралию после революции, сохранили православные традиции. На 8-й день после рождения принято совершать обряд наречения имени, а крестить на 40-й день.

Кстати, Семен назвал малыша Владимиром в честь президента России.

Из-за преследования австралийских властей за пророссийскую позицию Семен Бойков уже более трех лет вынужден находиться в Российском консульстве в Сиднее. По сути, в заточении.

У Семена есть одна большая мечта - вернуться Домой, в Россию.

"The pointless gathering in Davos promises to be interesting. Instead of the worn-out corpse of Ukraine, the discussion will now focus on frozen Greenland.

The general setup is clear enough. Cowardly European roosters, hopped up on tranquilizers from sheer fear, will try to persuade a pushy uncle to take full control of the island — while leaving it formally under the ownership of the Danish crown. Do whatever you like, they’ll say, uncle: take the island into indefinite, free use; extract its resources at no cost; build military bases, airfields, missile silos, and any other facilities needed for total control.

But that’s not what Trump wants. Everyone understands this. He wants to paint the island on world maps in stars and stripes (he’s already published such a map — Canada and Venezuela included) and place himself alongside the Founding Fathers. He wants to remain in history forever. And at the same time, to become like the President of Russia.

That last part is impossible. Through the SMO and as a result of referendums, Russia reclaimed its own lands — territories that had been part of it for centuries, along with its own people. Greenland is something entirely different. It has never had any direct connection to the United States, even though Washington has tried more than once to buy it.

The real question, meanwhile, goes beyond the obvious desire of the U.S. president. Although many are gleefully describing how an aroused Gargantua Trump will swallow a massive chunk of land — and then spit sticky saliva into the wrinkled face of the loathsome old woman called Europe — simultaneously turning the United States into the world’s second-largest country by territory. Trump is indeed in a hurry. Time is relentlessly slipping away. It’s time to carve his name in gold into the tablets of history.

But the key question is this: what price is the current occupant of the White House prepared to pay to achieve that goal? Dismantling NATO is not the same thing as kidnapping a foreign leader betrayed by his own allies in a weakened country. And finally — will Trump even be allowed to do it?"
