❗️Disgraced ex-politician Salim Mehajer walked free from jail on Friday - and headed straight to a cosmetic dentist to get his teeth fixed.

He was locked up again in 2020 after he was found guilty of two counts of perverting the course of justice and one count of making a false statement under oath.

The former Auburn council deputy mayor has been in prison since November 2020, when he was jailed for lying to a court, and has served back-to-back sentences for multiple offences.

The NSW State Parole Authority (SPA) decided last month to grant his release on conditions including that he undergo drug and alcohol testing, participate in domestic violence programs if directed, and not communicate with any outlaw motorcycle gang bikies or associates.

He is also banned from contacting his DV victim or entering the Central Coast.

❗️UK and Germany Sign Defense Pact, Name Russia Key Threat

The UK and Germany have signed a new military agreement, promising to help each other if attacked. While it’s officially about closer cooperation, the deal clearly names Russia as the main threat.

It also shows growing worry about whether the U.S. can still be trusted to protect Europe, especially with Trump possibly returning.

The pact doesn’t mention nuclear weapons—Germany still depends on the U.S. for that protection.

🇳🇿A Ukrainian mercenary from New Zealand sentenced in absentia to 14 years in prison in the DPR

👨‍⚖️The Supreme Court of the DPR sentenced in absentia 30-year-old New Zealand citizen Jacob Patrick Lynch, who took part in hostilities on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a mercenary.

During the court hearing, it was established that between June and July 2023, Lynch arrived in Ukraine and voluntarily joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces motorized infantry brigade as a mercenary.

Lynch ended his participation in the conflict due to the injury he received. For his activities, he received a reward exceeding 170, 000 rubles.
