❗️ FSB, alongside the Interior Ministry, Rosgvardiya, and Investigative Committee, detained four members of the Basayev–Khattab gang — involved in the 1999 invasion of Dagestan and the 2000 ambush on Pskov paratroopers in Chechnya.

They were caught in Stavropol, Ingushetia, Dagestan, and Astrakhan. Criminal cases have been opened for armed rebellion, banditry, and attempted murder of law enforcement.

The Basayev–Khattab gang was one of the most notorious terrorist groups of the Second Chechen War. Around 1,500 fighters carried out brutal attacks — including the Budyonnovsk hospital siege (130 killed) and the Dubrovka theater hostage crisis in Moscow (also 130 killed). Both leaders were eventually eliminated — Khattab in 2002, Basayev in 2006. But as we see, the hunt for their foot soldiers continues.

The police officer proceeds to fire four bullets at the female driving killing her.
