In Gaza City a family sifted through garbage near a destroyed building searching for scraps of food amid growing desperation. They found bits of rice bread and a nearly empty cheese box.
Islam Abu Taeima gathered the salvageable food to take back to the overcrowded school where she and hundreds of displaced families now live. She plans to boil the scraps and feed her five children highlighting the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at a funeral for Quds Force commander Mohammad Saeed Izadi killed in an Israeli strike Larijani said “The new Middle East will not be subject to external dictates”.
He reaffirmed Iran’s distrust of the US citing past conflicts and criticized Trump’s “surrender or war” approach as a failed doctrine though he noted Tehran is reviewing messages from Washington about possible talks.
Larijani also dismissed the UN and Security Council as biased tools of US and Israeli interests calling them irrelevant in today’s regional landscape.

Several airstrikes were launched by the Sudanese Air Force on Thursday evening targeting UAE-Backed Janjaweed militia positions in the city of Abu Zabad, located in West Kordofan State.

Israel has asked the United States to resume military action against Yemen’s Houthi rebels following deadly attacks on shipping Israeli media reported.
The Houthis had paused maritime assaults after a May ceasefire with the US but recently sank two ships killing at least four. Israel told Washington the threat can no longer remain solely an Israeli problem according to Kan News.

🇵🇰⚡ | 9 Civilians Shot Dead In Balochistan Bus Massacre By Baloch Separatists
In Pakistan, at least nine passengers travelling on two Punjab-bound buses on the N-70 highway were abducted and killed by unidentified gunmen on the border between Balochistan province's Zhob and Loralai districts on Thursday night. The attackers specifically identified and selected Punjabi passengers using their ID cards, took them outside of the bus, and executed them. Their bodies were found and recovered from nearby mountains with bullet wounds.
The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for the massacre, which occurred just hours after the BLF announced the start of "Operation Baam" against Pakistan. Baloch ethnonationalists often single out ethnic Punjabis in their attacks.
Pakistani authorities said they had initiated a search operation to hunt down the attackers and vowed revenge.

More than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim boys and men were executed by Bosnian Serb forces in July 1995, towards the end of the Bosnian War, in what is the only recognised genocide in Europe and the worst one since the Holocaust.
Thousands gathered in the eastern Bosnian town of Srebrenica to mark the 30th anniversary.
In July 1995, more than 8,000 Bosniak boys and men were rounded up and summarily executed by Bosnian Serb forces over the course of several days after the fall of Srebrenica, which was deemed a UN safe area and meant to be under the protection of UNPROFOR international peacekeepers.
Seven newly identified victims, including two 19-year-olds, will be laid to rest in a collective funeral on Friday at the large memorial cemetery in Potočari near Srebrenica, next to more than 6,000 victims already buried there.

Israel’s military says it has reviewed incidents of civilian harm at Gaza aid distribution points after the UN reported nearly 800 deaths since late May.
In a statement the army said it conducted examinations and issued new field instructions based on lessons learned. The incidents remain under review.
UN spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said 798 people were killed between May 27 and July 7 including 615 near sites run by the US and Israel backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

The EU is considering up to 10 political measures against Israel after finding signs it breached human rights obligations under a key partnership agreement.
