Nearly two years ago, on July 9th 2023, "conservative" intellectual and former minister of foreign affairs, Teodor Baconschi, said in an interview that: "Romania should import 1 million Asian migrants in the next few years to stave off the demographic decline"

He presented this import as "necessary" because "the economy needs them" but also as "good news" because of the "cultural exchange" which will "clear the head" of the racist Romanians.

He added:

"You are xenophobic when you are not secure about your identity, after 100 years of a Romanian national unitary, sovereign, independent, EU member state. We should be more secure about our identity and welcome the stranger, the people who are different from us, the member of a culture that is alien to ours. That will set us millennia ahead of others".

Baconschi is part of this "respected" group of intellectuals, who petitioned the Romanian Orthodox Church to celebrate Pascha/Easter together with the Papists (Vatican) and break communion with every other Orthodox Church because "muh Russia is evil", who supported Nicolae Ciucă for president in 2024, alongside gypsy singer, Dani Mocanu, and after Ciucă lost, he made petitions urging people to vote for Nicușor Dan.

Baconschi is typical of the Romanian Gen-Xers who've built their personality on copying everything Western Europeans were doing and implementing it in Romania. They will sometimes admit that immigration may be bad but then they will say: "we won't be like the West, we won't take in bad immigrants (Muslims) we will take in only the good and hardworking ones (Hindus, Buddhists)".

Baconschi and most boomers like him will be more than happy to trade the safety of women for a few more millions added to the GDP.

If you run a business and you need to hire Indians or other foreigners to turn a profit, you should go bankrupt.

🇷🇴💰⚡️ The Economical and Financial Council (ECOFIN) of the EU came to the following conclusions after meetings with Romanian officials:

🔶 The EU will not sanction Romania for the financial disaster created by former premier, Marcel Ciolacu

🔶 The EU wants Romania to increase defense & security spending at at the same time keep a balanced budget that will lead to a decrease or at least, stagnation of the public debt

🔶 The EU wants Romania to finish the National Recovery & Resilience Plan (PNRR), to make use of all the financial tools the EU has in order to attract funds

🔶 Expedite infrastructure projects which may be stuck in bureaucratic procedures

🇷🇴💤⚖️ The Superior Magistrates Council (CSM) accuses president, Nicușor Dan, of "blocking" the functioning of the justice system by refusing to sign the retirement decrees of 51 judges and prosecutors

One of the duties of the Romanian president per the Constitution is the naming, promotion, sanction and removal, by decree, of judges and prosecutors. This is an essential procedure for the justice system and president Nicușor Dan is neglecting it.

What could Nicușor Dan possibly be doing all day that he doesn't have time to write a decree retiring 51 judges and prosecutors who've completed their 25 year stay in the justice system?

More so, Nicușor Dan still hasn't picked someone for the Constitutional Court! The Parliament already selected and voted the replacements, now its Nicușor Dan who needs to pick a judge and have the Parliament vote him. The deadline is July 10th for this whole process to be over with.

At least when Klaus Johannis was neglecting his duties, it was because he was golfing or on a trip to a foreign country. What is Dan's excuse for being lazy? What is he waiting for? To be sued by those judges and to be forced to pay damages ?

🇲🇩📊⚡️ In a June 30th opinion, the Action & Solidarity Party (PAS) reached a record high of 40.4%!

This would give PAS 49 of the 101 seats in the Moldovan Parliament, that is, without the Moldovan diaspora which overwhelmingly votes for PAS.

Unlike in Romania, Moldovans living outside of Moldova can vote in the parliamentary elections. This law was introduced by the Communist Party back in 2002 under president Vladimir Voronin to take advantage of the Moldovan diaspora in Russia but since then, the diaspora in Russia diminished in size while the one in Europe and North America grew.

A law passed by the pro-Russians is now helping the pro-Western camp win elections.

With their current score, PAS would be just 2 seats away from a Parliamentary majority. Remembering that the poll does not take into account the Moldovan diaspora, it is very likely that PAS will win a 2/3 majority in the Moldovan Parliament or somewhere close, like 60 seats.

In 2021, before the elections, PAS was polling at 39%, with some polling firms putting them at 43 and even 50%. They ended up winning 52.8% and gained 63 seats. With this score this early on, it is very likely PAS will maintain their current 63 seats in the Moldovan legislature, thanks to being reinvigorated by the victory of Nicușor Dan in Romania and in part because the anti-PAS opposition is fractured, fighting amongst itself and generally speaking, incompetent and narrow-minded, focusing only on the leftwing electorate leaving PAS to hold the monopoly over rightwing and liberal Moldovan voters.

🇷🇴💰⚡️ George Butunoiu, a manager recruiter for state companies, revealed to Ziarul Financiar (ZF) that the contests for the positions of directors or managers on the boards of state companies is rigged by political parties

The contests are a joke. The winners are selected in advance and, if they fail to win somehow, the contests are scrapped and are started again to put the "right" person in charge. Political parties, the ministries, the investors, they will do everything to appoint their men, regardless of their studies or work performance.

This type of behaviour is the worst in companies who are not listed on the stock exchange meaning there is virtually no transparence in the selection process of its leadership nor its contracts. The work performance indicators are also a joke. Companies and investors (the state) set their own performance indicators and most of the time they are absurd.

Directors often get paid, besides their salary, bonuses which can be 10 times the size of their monthly salary when the company they are leading is recording financial losses. No one cares, the directors' only interest is watching their work performance indicators to make sure they earn their bonus.

An example given by Butunoiu was the company managing the Bucharest Airports, Băneasa and Henri Coandă. Butunoiu said that a former director of the National Company ”Aeroporturi București” S.A. was an individual who had a xerox business and nothing in common with the aviation industry.

His work contract had 5 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and as Butunoiu said the director "didn't make a single investment or repair, he was fixated all day on his 5 KPIs". In the first year, this director cashed in on a 750k EUR bonus on top of his monthly salaries. In the 2nd year he earned another 450k EURs bonus after which he resigned to reduce his exposure and risk of being hit with an investigation.

It is probable he won even more money with his resignation as termination clauses are written in the contracts in favor of the managers so they can claim a nice bonus when they leave too. Butunoiu told ZF that there are even worse cases at other companies who make more profits than "Aeroporturi București" S.A.

This is the kind of work culture in most if not all state companies operated by PSD and PNL. The political appointments on the boards of these companies make the managers focus on maxing out their KPIs even if it means sending the company in bankruptcy. This is likely what happened to the Romanian Railways (CFR Călători) and Romsilva.

When the political parties, PSD and PNL, aren't bankrupting companies by giving millions of EURs in bonuses to a few managers, they are bankrupting them with contracts for surveillance services, supplies, maintenance, facility management, office supplies, fuel, utilities and especially, IT services.

The Romanian government and media, have a fixation with "digitalization" as this "miracle" process which would "end waste" and queues for citizens and generally speaking, improve quality of work and the services offered to the public. The only problem is that is simply a lie. IT services are the biggest scam Romanian politicians have come up with in recent memory.

Digitalization means hiring some company that will sell you a software and help you install it on a bunch of servers and computers after which they will ask to sign maintenance contracts with terms expiring after decades of continued use.

You can expect that the software companies offering digitalization are, most of the time, politically connected and they don't actually develop their own software solutions, they just buy them from someone else and resell them at a higher price to the state.

As Călin Georgescu’s trial for “legionary propaganda” is ongoing, the press is publishing “evidence” to support the claims of the prosecution

On this topic, the FANATIK newspaper came to the conclusion that Georgescu is guilty of the charges brought against him because he… bought a house at the feet of the Făgăraș mountains where anticommunist partisans, most of whom former Iron Guard members, fought a guerrilla campaign against the communist regime.

Another fun fact about the investigation completed by the prosecutor, Marius Iacob, is that he wrote, in the final report, the words “legionary” and derivatives a total of 124 times, the word “fascist” 122 times, “xenophobe” and derivatives 58 times, “racist” 52 times, “war criminal” 40 times, “Zelea Codreanu” 30 times, “genocide” 30 times, “Ion Antonescu” 23 times, “antisemitic” 23 times, “ultranationalist” 12 times and “Holocaust” 9 times.

Iacob also claimed in his report that Georgescu wanted to “assassinate state officials” based on a journal of.. someone else, a fan of Călin Georgescu that was investigated for death threats made online.

To say that the Romanian government is grasping at straws in their abusive investigation of Călin Georgescu, is a serious understatement.

🇷🇴💰⚡️ Radio Free Europe (RFE/RL) published 6 top-secret documents prepared by the ministry of finances from August to December 2024 warning Romania’s leaders about the coming financial crisis if drastic measures were not taken.

These documents were classified as “top secret” and were signed by the minister of finances at the time, Marcel Boloș, two of his secretaries and a senior official working at the tax agency, ANAF.

They were mailed by the Romanian Intelligence Service only to the president at the time, Klaus Johannis, the then prime-minister, Marcel Ciolacu and the Speaker of the Senate, Nicolae Ciucă.

All three ignored every single warning and never changed course. And because Johannis, Ciucă and Ciolacu ignored those warning signs, everyone else has to have their incomes reduced by taxes and inflation.

Asked by RFE/RL why didn’t he make these findings public, Marcel Boloș said he kept quiet because such information would have let international credit rating agencies to degrade Romania’s investment ranking and cause even more damage.

The last document from December estimated that if the government wouldn’t have frozen the salaries of public employees in January, the budget deficit would have reached an astonishing 14% in 2025.

Even with these warning in his mail, Marcel Ciolacu still had the audacity to say that the economic crisis everyone is going through “is fake” and was made up just to pick on him.

🇷🇴💰⚡️ With the increased tax on dividends to 16% and the profit tax of 16%, Romania will become the worst country for doing business in south-eastern Europe.

If today, with a dividend tax of 10% and a profit tax of 16%, Romania is behind Hungary but ahead of Greece in terms of total taxes business owners have to pay, with the new taxes, Romania will rise up the anti-business ranking and offer worse conditions than Slovakia but will still be ahead of Poland.

This will lead many businesses into premature insolvency/bankruptcy and will lead to an exodus of businesses to neighbouring Bulgaria and Hungary. Bulgaria offers a 10% profit tax and a 5% dividend tax meaning, overall, businesses with their HQs in Bulgaria only pay 15% in taxes, meanwhile in Romania they will pay nearly double.

On top of the increased taxes on businesses, with the increase of the VAT, there will be less consumption meaning businesses will see a drop in profits and with a drop in profits means a drop in dividends making the tax increase on dividends a way by the state to recapture lost revenues it would have collected without the VAT increase.

🌹🤡🏳️‍🌈 Responding to the criminal complain filed by former MEP, Vlad Gheorghe, Marcel Ciolacu said, in his defense that "Romania is not in an economic crisis".

"(...) I hear, a lot more frequently, that I am held responsible for the, alleged, "economic crisis" Romania is facing today. I see that some are filing criminal complaints on my name, a truly ridiculous action, without caring that budgets and the way the money was spent is completely transparent and open to the public. But if I have to go to prison, after a 30 year long wait for a motorway in Moldavia then I have no regrets (...)".

I could go on but its not worth it. Just this part of Ciolacu's "defense" is disgusting. He acts like the 20 billion EUR gap between the taxes collected and the spending in 2024 came simply from a single motorway, motorway which was partly funded by the EU 4 years ago, as if a motorway could cost that much.

Ciolacu is a disgusting liar who runs away from accountability at every step. Deeper into his response, he blames the high deficit of 2024 on his finance minister, Marcel Boloș, who said he refused to make any changes to the budget. This excuse doesn't work because Ciolacu was Boloș' boss and could override his decisions, which he did in many occasions.

Next, Ciolacu shifts the blame on people before him, his former best-friend, Nicolae Ciucă, the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccines, the rearming campaign demanded by the EU and the energy crisis which he blames Ukraine for when in reality, it was caused by the EU and their insane climate agenda. Of course he isn't to blame for anything.

Poor Ciolacu, he was a mere puppet and had his hands tied all the time and could not have done anything to prevent Romania from entering a fiscal crisis.

This response from Marcel Ciolacu was so shameless that even premier Ilie Bolojan commented, asking Ciolacu, rhetorically, during a TV appearance:

"If [the economy] is doing so well, why did you resign as prime-minister after the [presidential] elections? (...) There wasn't much enthusiasm about being a finance minister too in this period by the way. If everything is fine, then why are we paying the highest interest rates in the EU? and we have the biggest deficit and we are where we are?"

🇷🇴💰⚡️ Deputy prime-minister and financial advisor to president Nicușor Dan, Dragoș Anastasiu, told journalist Ionuț Cristache, that premier Ilie Bolojan increased taxes because the European Commission had "run out of patience" and wanted fiscal measures now.

"They've told us for so many months that we have a problem, and not just them, the Fiscal Council too etc. If we didn't push through with these measures yesterday, those in the European Commission told us "yes, you've told us many times that you will do this and that but we want a law not a political declaration" so they forced us to hasten this package and we've assumed responsibility in Parliament.

We've pulled the handbrake so that we won't speed off a cliff and fall into a ravine. We did this without time to analyse what impact these measures had, without time to clearly present these to the population (...) it was like pulling the handbrake while going at high speeds".

Cristache then asks Anastasiu why they resorted to increasing the taxes, reminding him that during the electoral campaign, Dan promised no tax increases and his campaign slogan was "honest Romania". Anastasiu said:

"(...) I personally never made or supported such promises.. I understand the question, I am apolitical, my job as part of this government was to reform the state.. and I can tell you that no one wanted to increase the VAT and that president Dan's statements came as a result of a general belief among politicians that we could fix the economy without raising the VAT but it wasn't possible, at least not at the moment (...)

Our problem was that we needed to take a bunch of measures before July 8th (...) We aren't stupid, we are aware that if you want to attract investment, you need low taxes".

Cristache then asks how come they ended up raising the taxes if they knew it was bad for business to which Anastasiu said:

"From the day president Dan was elected president until yesterday [July 7th] there was an internal struggle [among political parties] to find a solution that would please everyone. We went with this package which did not have a VAT increase, to our foreign financiers [the European Commission] and they told us (...) "its not enough and, by the looks of it, you will end up with a 10% deficit this year "[9.3% last year].

Our package didn't have a VAT increase, smaller changes to the health insurance contribution (CAS) and they've rejected us (...) its like going to the bank to take a loan (...) they look at you, at your income level, at your spending, they look into your background to see if you are trustworthy and capable to pay the loan back and depending on how risky it is to lend you money, they set a higher or smaller interest rate (...)".

🇷🇴🐣⚡️ Definitive data on Romania's demographic decline in 2024:

🔶 142.613 births

🔶 244.443 deaths

The population of Romania declined by 101k people but as we've seen before, the population of Romania actually grew by a couple of thousand people, because the decline is being staved off by the huge amount of migrant labourers imported.

Another observation is an explosion of the number of female migrants coming in 2023 compared to 2021. The data for 2024 will be available to the public after September 2025 as the National Institute of Statistics hasn't finished compiling it yet.

If in 2021 most of the female migrants were aged 31-35 years old, genuinely coming in to find work, while the male immigrants had an even age distribution, in 2023 the demographic shifted with female migrants being significantly younger now aged 18-26, likely being the result of the policy of family reunions when migrants bring their families from their home countries with them.

Anyway, from 2021 to 2023, the numbers of migrants doubled or even tripled for almost all age groups. These migrants are by no means illegal, they are legal, but should they be allowed to stay here and bring their families if they come just for work?

🇷🇴💰⚡️ The Social Democrat (PSD) amendment to cut the subsidies for political parties wasn't included in the austerity package.

If it had been included it would have only entered into force starting in 2026.

If enacted, it would have cut the subsidies by 40% meaning the subsidies would have been reduced to what they were in 2023.

In 2024, the Romanian taxpayer provided 380 million RON to the political parties. In 2016, the subsidies granted to political parties were worth just 14.6 million RON. From 2016 to 2024, the subsidies grew 26 times and 2024 was the record in terms of the size of the subsidies, increased by former premier, Marcel Ciolacu, by 25% compared to what they were in 2023.

Premier Ilie Bolojan didn't respond to questions as to why the amendment was not included. Other representatives of PNL and USR when asked said they had "no idea" about any changes to the subsidies of political parties because "nobody had brought them up during discussions for the austerity package".

📝: More confirmation that they never had the intention to fix anything, they were looking for the right solutions that would upset as few people as possible and allow them to keep their privileges intact.

🟦🎙⚡️ Speaking in support of the austerity measures, premier Ilie Bolojan told the Parliament that if his austerity package will not be approved "doom will follow".

"Romania had the biggest deficit in the EU with 9.3% (...) for every 100 RON the Romanian state was collecting in taxes, it was spending 132 RON meaning we were borrowing money each and every day. This must stop or we will be in the "junk" category, a country not recommended for investments.

Junk means even higher taxes for the citizens, higher prices and low purchasing power (...) Romania would become a country avoided by investors (...) if we don't take measures now, we would return to what we were 15-16 years ago (...)

We are at the 12th hour, what we are doing now is avoiding a scenario where we would have to tax the young and the old and the private businesses. We are voting these measures today so that Romania can be economically-reborn ion the future. I know these measures are not popular and I want to thank the Romanian people for being patient and understanding. This difficult period will not last long and after it there is hope".

📝: So Bolojan says that by raising the VAT he doesn't "tax" the young and old people and those with smaller revenues. He also claims that Romania would become "avoided" by investors when foreign company after foreign company is pulling out of Romania and closing factories.

Bolojan is a shameless liar. The time to do something was in 2024, if not, in 2023. 2025 is far too late. Romania is back where it started in 2010, potentially falling even lower. The austerity measures have come now not because it is "the last hour" before the apocalypse, no, the austerity measures have come now because there are no more elections nearby and it is finally politically safe to rob the people who voted for the establishment.

🇷🇴📊⚡️ New opinion poll for the Parliamentary elections (2028) shows the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) reaching a new record in support: 40.5%

This is an even bigger increase than in early June when it sat at 38.1%. AUR won 18% in December last year.

Meanwhile, the Social Democratic Party collapsed to 13.7%, its lowest score in history. It won 24% in December last year.

The National Liberal Party and Save Romania Union have similar scores to their performance in the parliamentary elections of last year.

Coupled with the other nationalist parties, the opposition has 46% in the polls which is exactly as much as George Simion won with in the 2nd round of the presidential elections, meaning he has managed to retain his popular support. Meanwhile the coalition which backed Nicușor Dan for president, who won with 53.6% is down to 49.3%.

This collapse in support for the establishment political parties is happening before the austerity measures have entered into force.

Until the next parliamentary elections there are 3 and a half years left. A lot of time for people to forget what they had to endure and to vote again for the establishment, who sacrificed them, in order to retain their privileges.

There is also the fact that AUR, as an opposition force, is quite ineffective and they don't really offer an alternative considering George Simion's deal with George Becali.

With these directors will leave accountants, secretaries and other auxiliary personnel.

📝: Imagine if premier Ilie Bolojan did the same but instead of merging schools, he merged towns and villages into another and closed down town halls and laid off mayors. This would be a far bigger spending cut than cutting bonuses of employees and would have led to a smaller tax increase.

Discussions on a territorial-administrative reform are old. It became a topic during the 1st Boc cabinet in 2009 when Romania was in another financial crisis but they didn't go through with it for lack of parliamentary support and political calculations made by the now-defunct Liberal Democratic Party (PD-L). 🇭🇺🤝🇭🇺 Hungarian premier, Viktor Orbán, attended discretely the funeral of a radical activist for the independence of the Szeklerland!

Előd Kincses was an ethnic Hungarian born in Târgu-Mureș in 1941 at the time under Hungarian occupation. He made his debut in politics in early 1990 after the collapse of communism becoming a prominent leader of the Târgu-Mureș branch of the National Salvation Front of Ion Iliescu.

Due to a series of clashes between the Romanian and Hungarian population of the city in spring of 1990, Kincses was held responsible as an instigator, having called for ethnic Hungarians to destroy the property of their Romanian neighbours. Kincses fled Romania fearing arrest and returned only in 1995 and immediately joined the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR).

UDMR made him president of its branch in Târgu-Mureș where he promised to “defend the identity of the Hungarian minority”. He campaigned for the restitution of church property seized by the communist regimes and partnerships between the city administration of Târgu-Mureș and Mureș county as a whole with Hungary.

Kincses was in a permanent state of conflict with much of the UDMR leadership accusing them of “not being committed enough” to protecting the Hungarian nation. In 2000 he ran against Marko Bela, with whom he had a personal vendetta of sorts, for president of UDMR but lost, Marko Bela having won. Bela would suspend Előd Kincses from his position as chairman of the Târgu-Mureș branch of the UDMR.

Előd was László Tőkés’ lawyer when he tried to regain his state decoration which Klaus Johannis withdrew. Előd was also a strong advocate for giving amnesty to Ernő Barabás, an ethnic Hungarian who, alongside others, left disabled an ethnic Romanian during the 1990 clashes in Târgu-Mureș. Romanian courts gave Barabás a 10 year sentence which Barabás never served because Hungary refused to extradite him.

Ernő Barabás founded the HELL Energy Drink company and is one of the richest Hungarians being in Hungary’s top 100 richest persons. He received many subsidies from Viktor Orbán’s state.

In 2007, Előd tried to get the war-criminal label removed from Albert Wass’ name but with no success. Albert Wass was a Hungarian writer and cavalry officer in WW2 born in Răscruci, Cluj County, and is responsible for the execution of 20 people in the villages of Sucutard and Mureșenii de Câmpie as they were shot by soldiers from his unit.

It is no secret that Előd Kincses hated being part of Romania and to see him receive state honours from the highest Hungarian dignitary, Viktor Orbán, reveals Orbán’s intentions when he speaks of “friendship” with Romania.

Orbán is cementing himself as the master of the ethnic Hungarians in Romania and is exploiting to the fullest the “kingmaker” status which the UDMR has in Romanian politics, as without UDMR’s support, the past 6 cabinets would not have been able to be built.

🇷🇴🐣⚡️ Another fiscal measure introduced by the premier, Ilie Bolojan: forcing mothers who are on maternity leave, to pay the health insurance contribution (CAS) otherwise they will be left without insurance.

This is being implemented despite that the salary they are paid during maternity leave is 75% of what it is normally.

A total fertility rate of 1.2 by the end of 2025 is quite an optimistic scenario considering the antinatalist policies of the Bolojan cabinet. This will mean under 130k births in Romania for 2025, maybe even lower.

Ilie Bolojan is saving the political parties and their businessmen friends getting rich through damaging contracts with the state by taxing young families and gutting the size of future generations by the order of tens of thousands of children who would no longer be born.

Everyone knows that corruption manifests itself through overtly onerous contracts with the state, where the state pays and the other party earns money. If Bolojan wanted to stop the overspending he would check every single contract signed by the state and its subordinate agencies to see if the state is being swindled out of money or not. But he chose to increase the taxes and cut some bonuses who pale in comparison to other financial black holes.

🇷🇴💰⚡️ Claudiu Năsui, deputy representing the Save Romania Union (USR) Party, uncovered the extent as to how former premier, Marcel Ciolacu and his finance minister, Marcel Boloș (PNL) were falsifying the data in the 2024 budget

Năsui revealed that Ciolacu and Boloș were literally inventing tax revenues from thin air. Circled in red are 10.5 billion RON or over 2 billion EURs in revenues ”collected from digitalisation” and these revenues were presented as ”real” to the European Commission as they kept appearing in the estimated tax revenues for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 budgets.

Manipulating the stock exchange like that lands you in prison. Manipulating the state's budget lands you where? The budget being the document which decides the tax policy and generally speaking how rich your citizens are allowed to become.

Criminal charges should be brought on Marcel Ciolacu and Marcel Boloș fast.

🇷🇴⚡️🇷🇴Călin Georgescu's trial for "legionary propaganda" begins today.

He is being accused of "publicly promoting fascist, legionary, rasist or xenophobic doctrines" after he quoted Corneliu Zelea Codreanu on live television:

"He who fights, even alone, for God and his country will never be defeated."

If found guilty, he will face up to 3 years in prison, since the crime in question was committed before the new "Vexler" law.

🇷🇴🇷🇺 The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is distancing itself from one of its own diplomats, Lazăr Comănescu, because he met with the Russian foreign minister, Sergey Lavrov!

The meeting between Comănescu and Lavrov happened a few days ago in Saint Petersburg as part of the 28th Summit of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) of which Romania and Russia are founding members of.

Comănescu isn't just the Romanian representative in BSEC, he's the actual chairman of BSEC meaning the 28th Summit could not have happened without his presence and input.

The MFA first says that Comănescu is not its employee anymore due to his election as chairman of BSEC and that he did not represent the ministry in any way at the event. Further the MFA does not endorse Comănescu's statements during the summit where he called for greater Russo-Romanian cooperation and they say that Comănescu "disregarded" the opinions of two countries with his acts: those of Romania and Ukraine [as if Ukraine's opinion should matter in terms of Romania's foreign policy].

The MFA reiterates that it will reject any sort of diplomacy with Russia until the Russians withdraw from Ukraine but at the same time chooses to not withdraw from BSEC.
