🇪🇺❌🇷🇴 11.9 billion EURs of EU funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) are about to be lost says minister of investments, Marcel Boloș.
Boloș, who used to be the finance-minister and who rewrote most of the PNRR since he took office in 2022, says that most of the projects assigned to the funds are impossible to complete in time before the funds are gone so he is looking for alternatives in order to keep the funds allocated to Romania and the PNRR.
This happens to be the same thing George Simion drew attention to at the beginning of the month but the pro-Nicușor Dan medias labelled him a ”liar”, a ”fearmongerer”, and of ”spreading Russian propaganda”.
Boloș says that the deadline is June 4th for Romania to present its tax reform to the European Commission in order to keep the funds, which means recalculating the property tax (details here), making it more difficult to classify as a ”microbusiness”, reducing the amount of tax breaks offered and some cost-cutting measures.

💸⚖️⚡️ Nicușor Dan, who was elected president virtually all thanks to the 9 judges of the Constitutional Court (CCR) who abused their powers in cancelling a perfectly legitimate election because former president, Klaus Johannis and former premier, Marcel Ciolacu, on top of the EU, France and the Biden Administration, were unhappy with the results, criticised the CCR!
Dan and every other supporter of his who unironically believed he will be the force that will ”reform” the system, even though he had no hope of winning without the system sabotaging the sovereignist camp at every step, have suddenly turned against the CCR after praising it for the past 6 months for the crime it committed against democracy and denying the sovereignty of the Romanian people.
Dan stressed that citizens have a ”right” to see wealth declarations of civil servants as a guarantee against corruption. Although Dan's reasoning is true, he still doesn't dare to call for changes to the Law 47/1992 for the organisation and functioning of the CCR by introducing a system of appeals and making the trials of the CCR open to the public like in every other courtroom.
He is complaining just so his supporters know where he stands but in reality Nicușor Dan has no interest to fix the real problem: the fact that the CCR's powers are too high and need to be curbed. AUR and George Simion were the only ones who tried to change the Law 47/1992 only for their proposal to be soundly rejected by the PSD-PNL-UDMR coalition.
To show solidarity with Nicușor Dan, several other politicians including the interim-president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, said they will continue to keep their wealth declarations including mentions about their spouse's assets.
On the other side, George Simion has had the perfect answer. He wrote on Facebook:
"The CCR decision is exact what some deserve. Money for Ukraine, climate change, gays and migrants, increased taxes for Romanians. Take it with baguettes and thank the French"
🇪🇺🕊⚡️ Earlier today, president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen was awarded the ”Charlemagne Prize”.
In her acceptance speech she spoke about how her dream is to create the ”Pax Europaea” in terms of a ”security independent Europe” i.e. without relying on the U.S. for military support.
Von der Leyen mentioned that ”a new world order will arise by the end of this decade” and that ”the world is once again prey to ambitions for imperialist conquest and wars” adding that authoritarian powers are ”using differences to undermine” the Eurofederalist project.
In other news, the EU tells its member states that they must instruct citizens to spend less time showering because they use up ”too much water”.
Because nothing screams more like prosperity and a booming economy like being forced to ration water and being fined for spending more than three minutes in the shower.

🇪🇺❌🇷🇴 Due to the disastrous economic situation, Romania has defaulted on its financial obligations towards Ukraine and the EU is now placing fines on Bucharest!
Romania failed to contribute in time with 18.6 million EURs to the European Peace Facility and now the EU is placing a 3.181 EUR fine/day until Romania pays what it "owes" to Ukraine + the daily penalties.
This money should've been paid on April 14th but the EU granted a "month of grace" and didn't apply penalties until May 13th after which the fines started coming in. The government is now scrambling to use the reserve fund to pay the sum before the fines make it too expensive.

Dieter Johann Maurer, a graduate at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj has received a permanent sentence of one year with suspension after he, according to authorities, sold shirts on an online store with messages "leading to legionary propaganda or passages".
Some of the shirts had the following texts on them:
- "1927" (the year of the founding of the Legionary Movement).
- "Love the trench" (quote from Corneliu Zelea Codreanu's book, "For my legionaries").
- "Eyes to the enemy" (famous slogan used by Romanian legionaries in the interwar period).

— Recently, liberal media HotNews published arguing for mass immigration to Romania as the ”only way” to stop population decline.
The author then goes to give Germany, Italy, Portugal as good examples of countries who ”managed” immigration.
Even though the author himself writes in the article that immigration didn't fix the low fertility rates in neither Germany, neither Italy, or Portugal, immigration is still "good", never mind that all of the aforementioned countries have huge issues with crime directly as a result of the out-of-control import of welfare leeches.
If in the West, the boomers (1945-1965) are the biggest generation alive, in Romania the Gen-Xers (1966-1985ish), known to Romanians as the ”Decreței” (Children of the Decree, in 1966 Nicolae Ceaușescu banned abortion and Romania saw its own baby boom) are the biggest generation by size.
If the West opened the doors to migration back in the 1980s and 1990s when the boomers were preparing for their retirement and needed an influx of working age populations to pay for their pensions, no one protested, in fact, boomers in the West vote to this day for political parties which either advocate for more migration or who at the very least resist any changes to current migration influxes.
This is the path which Romanian Gen-Xers want to go down on. The 1966 cohort is turning 59 this year and it has 6 more years until it can retire. The Gen-Xers didn't have as many kids as their parents but they still want the same benefits of a country with a high total fertility rate (TFR) and a growing population, i.e. the security of having a paid pension.
And in order to have live a comfortable retirement they are ready to sacrifice the future of their children and grandchildren for the sake of a bit more money to their retirement fund.
This HotNews author is representative of the Gen-Xers and their selfish way of thinking. They are more than happy and ready to sacrifice the perks of an ethnically homogenous society like Romania and fill it up with third-world imports because it means their business can make more profit by hiring modern slaves from India and Bangladesh
They are more than happy to make Romanian cities into unliveable crimezones while they withdraw to the suburbs, far away from the areas which used to be inhabited by the native Romanians, but now are being colonised and turned into parallel societies.
No mention from this HotNews author on the fact that there are close to 6 million Romanians living outside of the country, mostly in the EU, who want to afford a good life at home but can't due to corruption and the greed of employers who refuse to pay adequate salaries.
This lack of interest in the Romanian diaspora is to be expected, after all, the diaspora didn't vote for Nicușor Dan. Dan and his supporters solely focused the presidential debates on the economy, the TFR and demographics being an afterthought. George Simion somewhat addressed the diaspora issue and the low-TFR but Simion could have done more. His plan to fix the TFR doesn't go beyond "paying people to have kids" which clearly doesn't work as every EU country has some form of financial incentive given to young couples to start a family.
This is the major issue facing Romania for the next couple of decades and neither the establishment, neither the sovereignist opposition have any ideas as to how to fix it. At least AUR and Simion are trying, but Nicușor Dan's camp isn't even concerned as they see in immigrants the "saving grace" and they are set to make the same mistakes Western Europe did 20-30 years ago.

🇪🇺❌🛢🇷🇴 Oil & gas companies, OMV-Petrom and Romgaz, have been directly named by the European Commission as one of the top polluters in Europe!
Last year, the EU passed the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) which forces industrial companies to reduce carbon emissions by enacting technologies in their industrial platforms made to capture the carbon dioxide and store it underground.
This means hundreds of billions of EURs of unnecessary costs for industrial companies, discouraging businesses from expanding or foreign companies coming it.
The European Commission, six months after the enacting of the NZIA, has finally published the list of the companies which the NZIA is applicable to.
OMV-Petrom and Romgaz have to capture and store 5.88 million tons of CO2 and 4.12 million tons of CO2 yearly. Another local company affected is Black Sea Oil & Gas which is tasked with capturing and storing 250k tons of CO2/year.
The only other company who received a higher punishment was the Dutch Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij, owned jointly by Shell and ExxonMobil, which has to store underground 6.35 million tons of CO2/year.
Romgaz was preparing for the NZIA since 2021 taking preventive measures so as to not be hit too hard but it estimated that it will have to store undeground only 3.5 million tons of CO2/year but the NZIA introduced a quota 18% higher
A 2023 study estimated that it would cost OMV-Petrom somewhere between 470 million EURs to 1.4 billion EURs to implement carbon storing technology and it would cost Romgaz between 290 million to 1 billion EURs.
📝 Oil & gas represent an important revenue source for Romania and the EU is sure trying its best Romania doesn't make any sort of money from it.

🇷🇴⛓️💥🇲🇩 U.S. special envoy for the Russo-Ukrainian War, Lt-Gen Joseph-Keith Kellogg, told ABC News that, among other things, the U.S. is ready to agree to Russia's demand of stopping NATO expansion into Moldova.
In other words, the U.S. will agree and block any reunification attempt between Romania and Moldova in order to get a peace deal or at the very least, an armistice in Ukraine.
This is the end of the road for any hope of a reunification between Moldova and Romania. The window of opportunity has closed. Romanians and Moldovans alike showed they don't want to be in the same country, that's why they voted for Maia Sandu and Nicușor Dan.
With George Simion as president, there could have been hope that Simion may intervene between American officials to, at least make the case for Romanian-Moldovan unification, which had been thoroughly blocked and ignored by president Klaus Johannis under his 10 year reign at the orders of Germany and Brussels because German leaders at the time wanted cheap Russian energy and didn't want to cause any sort of incident that would disrupt that flow.
Johannis supported Moldova on the "path" of EU membership with the collective Romanian political class NOT ONCE proposing reunification as the fastest way for EU membership. Not a single time did any of the people in power in Romania since EU membership was gained on January 1st 2007 proposed reunification other than AUR, George Simion and Claudiu Târziu.
Not once did any Moldovan leader make the same proposal in the same timespan, instead all they ever asked for from Romania was money and sadly, Bucharest was more than willing to give said money in exchange for their ”gratitude”. All of the money Romanian politicians gave to Moldova in the hopes of one day reuniting have all been in vain as the U.S. closes this path for the sake of brokering an armistice in Ukraine.
By the time the next opportunity will arise which may take up to a century or more, Moldova will be a land stricken with poverty and devoid of any people other than the elderly, as the young generations will have went outside to live in Europe or Russia.
There will still be some delusional fans of Nicușor Dan and Emmanuel Macron thinking that France will step in and make the reunification happen but if Macron's puppets here like Dacian Cioloș, Alina Mungiu-Pippidi and even Nicușor Dan himself haven't ever supported the reunification ideal, it won't happen. The U.S. had the military force to make Russia back down and accept the loss of Moldova, France doesn't even pose a threat to Russia.
With the fall of the USSR in 1991, Romania had 30+ years to make the reunification and didn't. This is exemplary of the state of the Romanian political class, a class completely devoid of any ambitions and foresight, a class that exists just to enrich itself off the back of others without giving anything worthy in return. (Might write an article on this in the future)
That's why they remind people every, single, day that the EU invested 90-100 billion EURs into Romania. They do that, for one because they got rich through these investments and for two because that's their only achievement in the last 30 years, managing to attract 100 billion EURs after giving away 5 million people, part of the country's sovereignty and rights to mineral resources.
This is a tragedy for us, nationalists, who sought to repair the damage done by WW2 and the Cold War, but for them, they never desired this because reunification wasn't something they could make a profit from and too complex for their feeble minds to manage.

🇷🇺📰🇷🇴 Fugitive-criminal, Ilan Șor, through his NGO, ”Evrazia” (Eurasia), has paid for ads in Romanian news publications.
Specifically, two articles, one posted by ProTV telling of Evrazia's work in "supporting young Moldovans" and another posted by Libertatea which mentioned the aid Evrazia was giving to farmers in Moldova and Găgăuzia.
Both articles would be taken down by the publications after the editors were informed about the identity of the organisation who paid them.
In the Libertatea article, Evrazia styled itself as a ”non-profit organisation seeking to solve socio-economical problems in Eurasia”.
The Evrazia NGO was sanctioned by the EU last year and they should not have been able to pay for ads in Romanian newspapers.
The Evrazia NGO is the same organisation erecting monuments to the Soviet marshal, Rodion Malinovsky, to commemorate the latter's "liberation" of Bessarabia from Romanian "occupation".
Malinovsky is the same Soviet marshal who caused thousands of unnecessary casualties for the Romanian Army from September 1944 to February 1945 during the Turda Offensive (see battle of Oarba de Mureș, where under the orders of Sergey Trofimenko, orders maintained by Malinovski, the Romanian units were forced to assault a fortified hilltop 11 times with the Soviets refusing to maneuver around the hilltop and encircle the German garrison), during the Debrecen Offensive (where Romanian casualties were twice the Soviet ones despite the Soviet units in the sector being 5 times the size of the Romanian Army) and during the Siege of Budapest, (where Romanian troops conquered most of the city but before letting the city fall, the Romanian Army was ordered to withdraw to allow the Soviets to claim victory ”singlehandedly”).

🇷🇴🤝❓🇺🇸 Yesterday, "presidential sources" leaked the information that U.S. president, Donald Trump, had apparently called the Romanian president, Nicușor Dan, to congratulate him on his victory and even invite him to the U.S. which Dan reciprocated by inviting Trump to Romania. The discussion lasted 10 minutes.
The sources leaked this information late, it was close to midnight 27-28 May and 12 hours later a post on X went up mentioning this discussion.
However, the White House never confirmed this nor did Donald Trump post anything about it on TruthSocial.
Because of this, the factuality of this meeting being real in the first place is very questionable, almost certain that it didn't happen.

🇷🇴👔⚡️ On the ongoing discussion about the future Romanian government under the new president, Nicușor Dan:
🔶 With the resignation of Marcel Ciolacu as president of PSD and the ascension of Sorin Grindeanu, a close associate of his, PSD signals it wants to stay in opposition, i.e. doesn't want to be in the government and take flack for the upcoming austerity measures.
🔹 However, there is a group of social-democrats, notably vice-president of the European Parliament and MEP, Victor Negrescu, mayor of Bucharest's 4th District, Daniel Băluță and Buzău mayor, Constantin Toma, who advocate for PSD's entry into the government unconditionally and form a "pro-EU majority" with PNL, USR and UDMR.
🔹 Sorin Grindeanu is trying to balance between these factions, the more liberal/progressive faction led by Negrescu, Băluță and Toma, have been given more media attention because they are favorable to Nicușor Dan and don't delay the formation of a government.
🔹 Dominic Fritz, the German-citizens interim-president of USR reiterated many times that there can't be a strong government capable to implement reforms without PSD being a part of it.
🔶 With discussions for a government and what economic measures to take, there is a consensus that the taxes will be raised, however, there isn't a consensus on which taxes to increase
🔹 Dominic Fritz, wants outright rejects tax increases, wanting to cut as many costs as possible, arguing that now is not the time to look for more sources of revenue but instead to find ways to collect from those who commit tax evasion/fraud and only then see if tax increases are absolutely necessary.
🔹 Ilie Bolojan, returning to his role as president of PNL, goes even further than Fritz and says there will be cost-cutting, there will be tax increases and layoffs.
🔹 Sorin Grindeanu was the first one to suggest implementing a progressive system of taxation because "most EU countries have it".
The first round of negotiations with the president, Nicușor Dan, were held today. No conclusive results so far. Although we've speculated before that a new government will be formed with Ilie Bolojan as premier, that is no longer a certainty, mainly because of PSD's behaviour. We were confident that PSD would join the government with no questions asked mainly due to pressure from Brussels to not prolong the political crisis but it looks like Marcel Ciolacu's gang still retains some form of independence from its overlords in Brussels.
It is a possibility PSD could propose a new premier, with Grindeanu being the most likely premier proposal from PSD.

🇲🇩🗳📊 A new opinion poll shows what the Moldovan Parliament could look like after the Parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28th 2025.
PAS would lose the parliamentary majority and drop to 46 seat from the 63 they have today.
PSRM who won 32 seats in 2021 (in coalition with the Communist Party — PCRM), would drop to 19 seats.
The Victory Bloc, Ilan Șor's political project, which will likely not be allowed to run for Parliament, would get 18 seats if allowed to run. They are by far the biggest winners, tripling their MP count, from they 6 have currently (most are ex-PSRM members).
The Alternative is a brand new political alliance formed around the figure of Alexandr Stoianoglo, the loser of the 2024 Moldovan presidential elections. They would get 12 seats.
Partidul Nostru — PN (Our Party) which revolves around the businessman, Renato Ușatîi, would get 6 seats.
In theory, PAS could be able to form a coalition with PSRM and govern like that as an alliance between PSRM-Victory Bloc-Alternative-PN would be difficult to form and maintain.
And this is the problem of the anti-PAS opposition. They are all fighting to be the center-left—social-democratic party, basically, PSRM, the Victory Bloc, the Alternative and PN are fighting for the same group of Moldovenist social-democrats leaving everything else for PAS to capture. If anti-PAS forces want to see real success, they must shift attention to other voters not just the same old social-democrats
Notably this poll shows that no unionist party would enter the Moldovan Parliament.

🇩🇪 Germany, Europe's dominant industrial power, is deindustrialising. Nobody has any answers for this and there is hardly any interest in fixing it.
We are in the fifth quarter of a persistent recession. Industrial production has fallen every year since 2017, and we have lost 10% of our output since 2019. Gas and electricity cost three times what they did before the energy crisis. In consequence nearly half of our energy-intensive operations are leaving or considering leaving the country. Our carbon emissions have dropped to levels not seen since the 1950s. And today we have news that Thyssenkrupp, iconic German steel producer, is being broken up and largely sold off – after more than 200 years.
In the end this could break the EU, and it is like nobody cares. Our political establishment responds to the crisis by leaning even harder into the moralising. We will never, ever take a sip from Nord Stream again. Plans to build more gas power plants, even if the gas were there – Brussels regulators don't like that. As far as energy, the main plan is to make conventional heating fuels and petrol even more expensive to appease the weather gods. No way out, no hope, nothing.
