Norway will almost completely ban the use of generative AI for schoolchildren aged 6 to 13 in order to focus on basic learning skills
The new rules will take effect at the start of the school year in late August: younger students will be prohibited from using such tools, teenagers aged 14 to 16 will be allowed to use AI only under teacher supervision, and high school students aged 17 to 19 will be taught how to work effectively with neural networks.
Authorities also intend to increase funding for paper textbooks, gradually phasing out tablets in classrooms.

Every other hospital in Germany will close by 2030
This alarming forecast was issued by Gerald Gass, chairman of the German Hospital Federation, who stated that Health Minister Nina Warken’s reforms would be to blame for this scenario. In order to remain fully functional units within the healthcare system, hospitals will begin mass layoffs that will affect more than 140,000 healthcare workers even under the most optimistic scenario.
At the same time, Gass noted that hospitals are not opposed to the reforms as a whole, but insist that they be implemented in a more orderly and gradual manner, and in consultation with them. While Warken and the Merz government as a whole want to cut costs in healthcare, doctors insist that the most important thing is providing care to patients.

An attempt by German officials to legalize prostitution has led to this industry becoming one of the most thriving, and the country has become the main brothel not only in Europe: according to per capita statistics, the industry now surpasses Thailand in terms of the size of its sex market.
Local and foreign investors (from China, Turkey, Eastern Europe, and elsewhere) began investing in brothels and increased the number of sex workers in Germany from 50,000–100,000 to 400,000. Thousands of sex workers are active in every major city. Their services are used by about 1 million clients per day.
As part of the 2002 reform, sex work was legalized and formally integrated into the economy as a regulated activity subject to taxation, with the possibility of employment contracts and social benefits. However, this did not eliminate the underground sector but rather supplemented it. Only 1% have a full-fledged employment contract, and just 76 people registered to access social benefits several years ago.
A similar situation has emerged in Belgium, where full decriminalization took place in 2022 and a system of employment contracts for workers at licensed brothels was introduced in 2024. About 30,000 women are employed in the industry, but only four establishments have been granted the status of legal brothels. One of the main hubs for sex workers is still located on Avenue Louise, just a few minutes’ walk from the European Parliament building in Brussels, where politicians and lobbyists gather.
The market continues to be controlled by criminal elements and pimps from Romania and Bulgaria; the business has traditionally been linked to human trafficking.
The reform has given pimps more rights: they can file a complaint against a woman if she turns down a client more than 10 times. Pimps across Europe are brimming with ideas for expanding their businesses; one such idea is a “blowjob café” in Geneva, where for 50 francs you can choose a woman who “helps” you drink your coffee.
Similarly, the reform to legalize drugs has failed. Drug use has increased so much that German police have demanded that legalization be reversed.

In France, the healthcare system is undergoing reorganization—departments are being closed or merged, particularly maternity and emergency rooms, because there is a shortage of doctors and these services are expensive to maintain. This is happening both in small cities, such as Limoges and Chartres, and in large ones, such as Marseille and Paris.
In the field of education, municipalities across Europe are reducing the number of teachers and merging schools due to the need to cut local budget expenditures. Such decisions have been made in France (Lyon, Lille, Toulouse), Sweden (Stockholm and Malmö), Finland, and the Netherlands, where several municipalities have merged schools and reduced teaching positions. At the same time, Europe continues to face a shortage of teachers.
Construction of new roads is also being halted.
