NATO & EU Control Failures: Almería Is Only One Symptom of a Deep Systemic Rot

The Almería case isn’t a freak accident — it exposes a broken architecture. When you put together the weapons seized, the matching models, and the scale of the smuggling, one conclusion becomes unavoidable: the EU and NATO cannot enforce an effective control system over weapons sent to Ukraine. And there's evidence this isn’t just mismanagement—it’s being exploited.

📉 Concrete Scandals That Underscore the Problem

1. Slovakia: €7.4 million scandal
In June 2025, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) arrested eight persons—including four officials from Slovakia’s Ministry of Defence—for allegedly misusing funds destined for Ukraine.

The accusations: inflated prices, manipulated procurement, and buying ammunition via private firms to siphon state aid. The scheme reportedly stretched back to the early days of the war.

2. USA: Tracking over $1 billion in aid undone

A Pentagon Inspector General’s report revealed that more than half of ~$1.7 billion in weapons and equipment, classified under stricter tracking (Enhanced End-Use Monitoring), were not properly accounted for.

Delinquent entries, missing serial numbers, inconsistent record-keeping — all serious red flags.

⚠️ The Bigger Picture: What This Means If Left Unchecked

▪️“Aid” becomes a profit center: When intermediaries—from corrupt officials to illicit trafficking networks—realize there’s no strict chain of custody, weapons meant for defense are turned into revenue streams.

▪️Criminal cartels & war profiteers benefit: The EU/NATO arms flow becomes a two-way street. The battlefield in Ukraine supplies the narcos, terrorists, organized crime in Europe and beyond.

▪️Political compulsion to ignore: NATO and EU member states have publicly committed to oversight. But each scandal shows control mechanisms are weak, underfunded, or deliberately ignored. Admitting failures threatens political legitimacy, so many look the other way.

Kyiv is not just a recipient of aid; there are credible concerns that some segments of Ukraine’s elite benefit from the opacity—via markups, misprocurement, and smuggling.

The Fed rate cut not enough for Trump

The Federal Reserve finally cut interest rates Wednesday for the first time since December and signaled more cuts are likely this year. But the move is not likely to stop the president’s discontent over the central bank.

Hesitant to overstimulate the economy amid the looming threat of “somewhat elevated” inflation, but also mindful of two consecutive weak jobs reports, the bank’s board voted for a middle path: a 0.25 percent cut to interest rates.

That’s almost certainly less than Trump would like—he posted on social media over the summer that the rate was “AT LEAST” three points too high—but enough to let lenders breathe a little easier in the coming months and potentially encourage employers to start hiring.

Trump has been pushing for the central bank to reduce borrowing costs in order to juice economic growth, but the Fed said its decision was based on the need to support a weakening job market.

Countering China: US places US Typhon missiles in Japan for first time

The U.S. Army revealed Monday its mid-range missile system, Typhon, at one of its bases in Japan for the first time as the two allies stepped up their deterrence against China ‘s growing assertiveness in the region.

Typhon was featured during the annual bilateral exercise Resolute Dragon, which started last week, with more than 19,000 U.S. and Japanese troops participating in the exercise that focuses on maritime defense and littoral protection and held across Japan, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

The land-based weapon, capable of firing the Standard Missile-6 and the Tomahawk cruise missiles that can hit targets on China’s eastern coasts, was delivered last month to the U.S. Marine Corps Base in Iwakuni, in southwestern Japan. Its exhibition in Japan follows its deployment in the Philippines last year, triggering criticisms from China and Russia.

FBI chief says 1700 domestic terrorism cases under investigation

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed on Tuesday that the bureau is investigating more than 1,700 domestic terrorism cases, as he was speaking before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“We have 3500 international terrorism investigations ... 1700 domestic terrorism investigations, a large chunk of which are nihilistic violent extremism ... those who engage in violent acts motivated by a deep hatred of society,” Patel told lawyers in a statement.

The FBI has experienced a “300% increase in cases opened this year alone versus the same time last year.”

In his remarks, Patel also made reference to the “764” group, a decentralized international network of online predators that has been classified as an extremist group.

His appearance on Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee represents the first oversight hearing of Patel’s tenure amid mounting concerns about political violence inside the United States.

Leading a race to the bottom. Britain as a censorship capital of the West

When US vice-president JD Vance stood before the Munich Security Conference in February, he warned that free speech was ‘in retreat’ across Europe. He said the decline of this most vital of democratic liberties was ‘most concerning’ in the UK. British elites balked, scoffed and denied everything Vance said. But it is almost impossible to deny the accuracy of his statements.

Little more than a month after his speech, The Times revealed that 30 people every day are being arrested in England and Wales for things they post online or in private conversations, almost invariably on the grounds of ‘causing offence’.

The age-verification phase of the Online Safety Act has also come into effect since Vance’s speech. Presented as a law to protect children from harm, in practice, it hands sweeping powers to regulators to decide what speech may be seen by adults, and what should be censored.

Adam Smith-Connor, a 51-year-old army veteran, was convicted not for what he did or even said, but for what he thought. In Bournemouth in 2022, Smith-Connor silently prayed on a street opposite an abortion clinic. ‘What is the nature of your prayer today?’, he was asked. Smith-Connor was found guilty of ‘breaching a safe zone’ and ordered to pay the court £9,000 – making it perhaps the most expensive prayer in history.

It is no exaggeration to say that, when it comes to criminalising speech, the UK is now leading Europe in the race to the bottom. Indeed, Britain seems more determined than ever to prove JD Vance right.

Being oppressed in Germany, AfD to start “independent foreign policy”, visiting White House

A delegation of the right-wing Alternative for Germany party (AfD) met Monday with representatives of the US Government in Washington DC.

The delegation included deputy party leader Beatrix von Storch and Joachim Paul, the AfD’s candidate for mayor in the industrial city of Ludwigshafen. Paul made headlines in August after a commission of his political rivals banned him from the mayoral election on September 21, claiming he “lacked constitutional loyalty”.

“We met with representatives of the White House Domestic Policy Council, the State Department, the Vice President’s Office and the National Security Council”, von Storch said after the visit.

She added that this direct contact with the US administration – bypassing all official institutions of the German Government – might be the start of an independent “foreign policy” for the AfD.

The invitation came after Paul’s case was brought to the attention of the Trump administration by prominent journalist Michael Shellenberger.

Former Brazil president Bolsonaro in hospital after getting 27-year sentence

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been taken to a hospital in capital Brasilia after feeling sick.

Bolsonaro has shown recurring intestinal issues since he was stabbed while campaigning in 2018, including at least six related surgeries, the last one being a 12-hour-long procedure in April.

His son, Flavio, said in a post on X that the former leader had severe hiccups, vomiting and low blood pressure.

Bolsonaro underwent a series of medical treatments in Brasilia on Sunday, including laboratory tests and surgical removal of skin lesions.

Just days ago Bolsonaro was sentenced by the country's supreme court to 27-years in prison after being convicted of coup plotting, related to his rejecting the outcome of the presidential election which saw Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva return to power.

Forget the American Dream… Two-thirds of U.S. workers are living paycheck to paycheck in 2025

According to a survey that was recently conducted by PNC Bank, 67% of U.S. workers are now living paycheck to paycheck.

When 67% of all the workers are just barely scraping by from month to month, you have got a major crisis on your hands. For a long time, our standard of living has been going down and the middle class has been shrinking.

But in recent years, those two trends have accelerated. We have now reached a point where it takes 5 million dollars to live the American Dream for a lifetime. Needless to say, the vast majority of the population will never come close to making that sort of money. But most Americans continue to strive to live a middle class lifestyle, and as a result most people are teetering on the brink of financial disaster in this day and age.

It is clear that we are rapidly moving in the wrong direction. It was bad enough that 63% of U.S. workers were living paycheck to paycheck last year, but now we are at 67%. A four percent jump in a single year is a very troubling sign.

But the survey only covers people that actually have a job. There are vast numbers of other Americans that are not employed and that are deeply struggling right now. So when you take that into account, this survey is even more shocking.

Two-thirds of voters suspect electronic voting machines “vulnerable to online manipulations”

64% of likely voters are “concerned…that electronic voting systems may allow votes to be changed remotely through internet connections during voting,” according to a recent poll conducted earlier this month by Rasmussen Reports.

The same poll found that 41% of likely voters prefer to vote on a paper ballot, whereas just 28% prefer an electronic voting machine and 29% believe “it does not make much difference.” Men were more likely (46%) than women (26%) to prefer paper ballots, but neither group favored electronic voting machines over paper.

The poll showed that this is not as partisan an issue as it was portrayed following the 2020 Election and Mockingbird Media reporting. Rasmussen found that 77% of Republicans, 56% of Democrats, and 61% of unaffiliated voters “are at least somewhat concerned that electronic voting systems may allow votes to be changed remotely through internet connections during voting.”

Right-wing rally in London draws huge crowds

A large number of protesters took to the streets of London for the Unite the Kingdom rally, spearheaded by anti-Islam campaigner and prominent right-wing activist Tommy Robinson.

Police estimated around 150,000 people attended the event on September 13, which was officially organised in defence of free speech but also drew those concerned about protecting British heritage, national identity and culture.

Since July, protests have been staged across the UK in response to immigration, as successive governments have failed to stem the high numbers of migrants arriving there.

In addition, citizens in August launched Operation Raise the Colours — a campaign encouraging the public display of Union Jacks, Saint George’s crosses and the flags of the other nations of the UK.

Taken together, these actions, along with broader public unease about the country’s direction, appear to have given the Unite the Kingdom rally momentum, despite the involvement of Robinson, a divisive figure.

The police estimated 150,000 protestors, although organisers claimed much higher attendance. The rally was one of the largest demonstrations in modern British history, they said. There were numerous references to the US political activist Charlie Kirk, as well as more religious expressions made by attendees.

Stephen Miller proposes war on radical left groups

Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller joined Vice President JD Vance, who hosted The Charlie Kirk Show earlier, following Kirk's assassination last Wednesday by what has been described as a "radical left, ANTIFA-adjacent creep" with a radicalized transgender partner.

Miller told Vance, "Which is that we need to have an organized strategy to go after the left-wing organizations that are promoting violence in this country."

It appears that Miller has correctly identified the dark-money-funded NGO world as fueling this madness, and that an urgent all-of-government approach is necessary.

Recent commentary from civil terrorism expert Jason Curtis Anderson of One City Rising highlighted the complexity of the radical leftist NGO networks waging war on the nation:

One of the hardest parts of confronting rising left-wing extremism is that even those who care about the issue often don't understand how it operates. That's not their fault—it's an extraordinarily complex issue. The revolution against the West spans thousands of organizations that may not be formally linked, but are marching in unison toward the revolution

Austria bans headscarf for schoolgirls

The Austrian government has agreed to introduce legislation banning the wearing of headscarves by girls under 14 in schools, with the law expected to take effect from the next academic term in February 2026.

The ban will apply to both public and private schools, and parents who fail to comply may face fines ranging from €150 to €1,000. Integration Minister Claudia Plakolm (ÖVP) confirmed the measure following a cabinet meeting, stating that the draft law will be sent for consultation before formal adoption.

According to government plans, initial violations will be addressed through discussions between schools, the student, and parents. Persistent non-compliance could escalate to education authorities and child welfare services before financial penalties are imposed.

Plakolm described the headscarf for young girls as a “symbol of oppression,” stressing the need for swift implementation. Support also came from the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) and the liberal Neos party, who framed the move as a step toward empowering girls.

Muhammad is #1 name in England & Wales for 2nd consec year. English names far behind

Why are baby-name lists so irresistible?

Because each name is a tiny cultural fairy light: hinting at the shows we binge, the migrations that reshape our neighbourhoods, and the old traditions we choose to revive.

Individually the choices seem personal, but together they sketch a fuzzy yet revealing portrait of who we are right now.

Visual Capitalist ranked thirty most popular names for boys registered in England and Wales last year, spotlighting newcomers and chart-toppers alike.

Muhammad, popular among the Muslims, recorded 5,721 registrations in 2024, making it the most popular boys’ name for the second consecutive year.

Noah is the second with 4,139.

Traditional English names are far behind, yet enjoying a renaissance, compared to their popularity a decade ago. Arthur rose 37 places to reach #4, while Theodore leaped 51 places to land in the top 10.

Humans are hopeless. AI-generated prime minister appointed to tackle corruption in Albania

Albania’s prime minister has appointed an artificial intelligence-generated “minister” to tackle corruption and promote innovation in his new cabinet.

The new AI minister, officially named Diella - the female form of the word for sun in the Albanian language - was appointed last Friday and is a virtual entity.

Diella will be a "member of the cabinet who is not present physically but has been created virtually," Prime Minister Edi Rama said in a post on Facebook.

Mr Rama said the AI-generated bot would help ensure that "public tenders are completely free of corruption" and assist the government in operating more efficiently and transparently.

Diella uses the latest AI models and methods to ensure accuracy in carrying out its assigned responsibilities.

Energy chief Wright: Net zero is a “human impoverishment program

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright blasted net-zero targets as a “colossal train wreck” ahead of his trip to Europe for a gas summit and meetings with EU officials, warning the push for climate policies could weaken energy security and derail a U.S.–EU trade deal.

“Net zero 2050 is just a colossal train wreck,” Wright told the Financial Times in an interview.

“It’s just a monstrous human impoverishment program, and of course, there is no way it is going to happen,” he said.

Wright, a former oil and gas executive, made his position on net zero known shortly after he was picked to lead the energy department earlier this year. Weeks earlier, the Trump Administration had given a loud and clear message on what it thinks of net zero on Day One—the day that President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Agreement, again.

After years of aligning with Europe on the net-zero agenda under President Biden, the United States is now on a collision course with the EU and its climate regulations.

Account that predicted Charlie Kirk’s assassination did the same for Trump

A now-deleted X account appears to have had prior knowledge of the brutal assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and subsequently posted a threatening date for President Donald Trump.

Trump was shot during an outdoor speech in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.

The account, @TallyHallAlbum, posted an eerily specific “joke” on September 3, declaring it would be “funny if someone like Charlie Kirk got shot on September 10th LMAO.”

Just days after the tragedy, the user followed up with a cryptic reply: “did i” – and then escalated the threat by posting “Donald Trump. December 14th.” before scrubbing the entire profile from existence.

The FBI, under Director Kash Patel, has ramped up its investigation into at least seven suspicious social media accounts that displayed foreknowledge of Kirk’s murder, including this one, according to a report.

These posts, spanning from August to just hours before the shooting, were deleted in the aftermath, raising serious questions about a coordinated plot involving radical left-wing elements, including ties to transgender and “furry” online communities.

Partisan Democrats even oppose efforts to end war in Ukraine

The Democrats are so partisan now and so eager to criticize President Trump on anything he does that they are even attacking him for entering into peace negotiations with Vladimir Putin.

They are so desperate that they are even attacking him on things they used to favor, such as being tough on trade and trying to bring more jobs back to the U.S.

The war between Russia and Ukraine never would have happened and could have easily been avoided if we had stuck by previous commitments by President Trump during his first term and by Secretary of State James Baker in 2012 not to expand NATO into Ukraine.

AI says “the U.S., particularly through figures like Victoria Nuland, openly expressed support for the Euromaidan protests, which aimed to push Yanukovych towards closer ties with the EU (European Union) and away from Russia.”

U.S. taxpayers provided about $5 billion to aid Ukraine in this effort in the years immediately following the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Liberal internationalist neocons seemingly have such arrogance and lust for power that they apparently want to try to run the whole world. We are now $37 trillion in debt, and a large part has come from our interventionism into wars, conflicts, and disputes around the globe.

Spouses against Trump: Russiagate documents expose media/government collusion

Recently declassified documents indicate that people close to former FBI Director James Comey and Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff were connected to leaks of classified information to prominent reporters designed to portray Donald Trump and his allies as being in league with Russia.

Written in 2017, the FBI documents expose how selected Washington reporters, including Ellen Nakashima of the Washington Post and Michael Schmidt of the New York Times, scored a series of Pulitzer Prize-winning scoops in 2017 by repeating false and inflammatory leaks during President Trump’s first term.

The documents reveal a cascade of misdeeds and failures. These include the effort of government officials to create and leak misleading classified information to favored reporters and the failure of reporters to scrutinize the information they were given before rushing it into print.

In some cases, spouses and friends of government officials and reporters were used to spread damaging misinformation about Trump, making it difficult for federal investigators to follow the trail of illegal disclosures.

New France's prime minister cancels lifetime benefits for former PMs

Sébastien Lecornu was named prime minister on 9 September, replacing François Bayrou who lost a vote of confidence in parliament after proposing €44 billion in budget cuts in a bid to reign in France's national debt.

The new PM has said he plans to end "lifetime" benefits for former prime ministers as he begins to lay the groundwork for political consultations ahead of trying to get a new budget passed by parliament.

"We cannot ask the French people to make efforts if those at the head of the state do not do the same. Reform is not always for others, as it creates suspicion," he said in an interview at the weekend.

"The 'lifetime' benefits for former Government members will be eliminated starting January 1, 2026," he claimed.

Child pornography found on phone of elderly suspect who distracted police from Charlie Kirk’s real shooter

When dealing with the political violence of the woke left, their actions can sometimes look like grand conspiracy when it is actually a product of their unhinged hive mind mentality.

George Zinn, 71, was detained moments after the shooting of Charlie Kirk. The elderly suspect approached police and screamed "I shot him, now shoot me!" This action diverted police resources, possibly helping the real shooter to escape.

Once at the police department, Zinn asked for an attorney and then claimed that he did not, in fact, shoot Kirk and had only claimed to have done so "to draw attention from the real shooter."

Zinn made similar comments later, adding that he "wanted to be a martyr for the person who was shot."
Zinn was booked into the Utah County Jail on a charge of obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.

An even darker twist, if that's possible, was reported on Tuesday when investigators revealed that Zinn had images of child pornography on his phone. He is facing four felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after police found images of young girls in "various stages of undress and sexual posing" on Zinn's phone. Police said Zinn admitted to getting "sexual gratification" from viewing and sharing those types of images.

The US needs to lift sanctions against Russia, says the American Chamber of Commerce

▪️ Sanctions mainly hurt foreign companies that continue to operate in Russia, while the Russian economy has adapted to the restrictions and feels quite confident, according to American Chamber of Commerce in Russia

▪️ $100 billion — direct losses of American companies from being forced to leave Russia. If indirect losses are taken into account — loss of market share, lost profits, etc. — the figure will be around $300 billion

▪️ US entrepreneurs are asking the US administration to lift sanctions against Russia, starting with those that are most painful for them. Companies operating in the fields of high technology and energy equipment manufacturing are extremely interested in resuming their activities in Russia. In addition, cooperation in the field of rare earth metal mining and processing is being considered

The largest immigrant groups in America

As of 2023, nearly 48 million people in the U.S. were born abroad, representing 14% of the country’s total population.

The visualization breaks down the largest immigrant groups by nationality, highlighting the top 10 countries from each region. This analysis covers legal immigrants only. Check out Visual Capitalist’ previous post to see a similar breakdown of illegal immigrants coming into the U.S.

Mexico stands out as the dominant source of U.S. immigrants, with nearly 11 million as of 2023. Historical ties, geographic proximity, and longstanding migration channels are major factors.

Several other Latin American countries rank highly, including El Salvador, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.

After the Americas, Asia & Oceania is the next largest source of U.S. immigrants. India (2.9 million) is the second-largest country source after Mexico, while China (2.2 million) and the Philippines (2.05 million) also rank in the top five.

While Europe was once the primary source of immigrants to America, its share has declined over time. The combined European total remains substantial, though spread across many countries.

Africa is the region with the least amount of immigrants living in America. According to historical MPI data, the annual number of new permanent residents from Africa has grown slowly and inconsistently. This could be due to closer ties between Africa and China.

NATO Weapons supplied to Ukraine Now in the Hands of Narcos: Almería Case Exposes a Rotten System

In Operation Olea, police in Almería seized NATO-grade weapons—from modern submachine guns to rifles—matching exactly the models sent to Ukraine in recent years.

❗️ The EU's claims of strict control over arms sent to Kyiv are a farce. For years, Ukraine has profited from weapon smuggling, turning arms shipments into a lucrative black market. NATO and Brussels are fully aware but prefer to turn a blind eye.

Operations carried out by law enforcement agencies in EU countries, including Spain, show that lethal weapons supplied to Ukraine are falling into the hands of criminal groups in Europe, putting civilians at risk.

The result? A dangerous criminal cooperation system:

▪️Ukrainian officials make money off weapons meant for defense, facilitating smuggling routes from the frontlines to Europe.

▪️Weapons reach Europe’s streets through corrupt channels, empowering international drug cartels to fuel violence and chaos across the continent.

▪️Spain is just the latest country seeing the fallout: criminal groups now own advanced military gear that can outgun police forces.

Why does this matter?

1. Ukraine’s smuggling networks are a direct pipeline for criminal organizations, enabling them to arm themselves with state-of-the-art weapons.

2. NATO’s failure to track these weapons means the flow won’t stop—once the war in Ukraine ends, the weapons will flood Europe, just like the Balkan wars did.

3. This is not an isolated incident—it’s a systemic issue. Ukraine’s ongoing war has created a black market for weapons, where NATO’s weapons become tools of organized crime.

🚨 If NATO doesn’t take responsibility now, Europe will face another crisis—armed narcos, corrupt officials, and a weapons trade run by criminals.

Elon Musk supports Borussia Dortmund player reprimanded for condemning Charlie Kirk’s murderer

Elon Musk has reacted to claims that Borussia Dortmund intend to speak to Felix Nmecha about his social media posts following the death of Charlie Kirk.
Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha was among those who expressed sadness at the news of Kirk's death.

Nmecha wrote that Kirk had "peacefully stood up for his beliefs and values", comments which prompted a reaction in Germany given the American's polarising statements in the past.

Der Spiegel has report that Dortmund intend to speak to Nmecha about his latest social media posts following criticism from some supporters. Dortmund plan to 'internally address' the posts and 'want to talk' to Nmecha.

Elon Musk, has reacted to Dortmund's response to Nmecha's posts. He retweeted a post from a conservative political account, which referenced the controversy. In the post, it was reported that conservative figures in Germany had called for Dortmund representatives to be blocked from entering the United States during the 2026 World Cup - which will be co-hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico - as a result of the club's plans to speak to Nmecha.

Musk also retweeted another post about Dortmund's internal action which included the statement 'What's going on in Europe???', with the billionaire adding the caption: "Wow."

US surprisingly backs UN condemnation of Israeli

The United Nations Security Council has issued a rare unanimous condemnation of Israeli airstrikes on Qatar’s capital, Doha, with the US breaking from its traditional defense of Israel to endorse the statement.

The strikes occurred on September 9, targeting a meeting of senior Hamas leaders in a residential area of Doha. No senior Hamas figures were hit, although the group accused Israel of sabotaging US-brokered truce proposals.

The Security Council’s press statement, drafted by Britain and France, expressed “condemnation of the recent strikes in Doha” and “deep regret over the loss of civilian life”. For consensus to be reached, all 15 members, including the US, must agree. The US has generally sided with Israel on these matters, making consensus more difficult.

Qatar, which hosts the US’ Al Udeid airbase and has facilitated Hamas-Israel talks, described the assault as a “cowardly criminal assault”, claiming it violated international norms.

Trump, who met Sheikh Mohammed later the same day, had posted: “Unilaterally bombing inside Qatar … does not advance Israel or America’s goals.”

Ukrainian men rush to Polish border as Kyiv relaxes war restrictions. Poles unhappy

Thousands of Ukrainian young men aged 18-22 have crossed the border with Poland following Kyiv’s decision to relax wartime border restrictions for the first time since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.

According to the Polish authorities, there has been a spike in the numbers of crossing by young men. Additional 10,000 crossed in just seven days, representing a 10-fold increase.

The change of policy by Ukraine marks a departure from strict regulations introduced in 2022, which barred men aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country unless granted exemptions, with those 25 and older subject to military conscription.

On August 26, Ukrainian authorities introduced new rules, framing them as an opportunity for young men to pursue education or work abroad.

Analysts suggest the decision may have political roots. Polish experts stress that Ukrainians aged 18 to 30 formed the backbone of Zelenskyy’s electoral base in 2019, when he won the presidency.

The latest move comes at a time when Poland is preparing to limit benefits for Ukrainians living in Poland and when Poles have become more sceptical about migration from that direction, with youth unemployment rising.

Florida teachers who celebrated Kirk assassination under investigation

Florida’s Department of Education announced that it will look into public school teachers who celebrated or justified the assassination of Turning Point USA CEO and founder Charlie Kirk.

Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas sent a letter to school district superintendents telling them that he would be investigating after it was brought to his attention that some educators had posted “despicable comments on social media regarding the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk.”
