Meanwhile, at a city council meeting in McKinney, Texas:

- In accordance with Sharia law, we propose implementing the following dress code. All women who are obese will be required to wear a burqa. Listen, if you don’t like it, it’s easy to fix. Ten thousand steps a day, a low-carb diet—it’s all within your power! Second, a similar rule applies to men. Anyone who’s bald must wear a turban. By the way, I’m not bald.

America’s Streets Out of Control

Two dogs lie on scorching concrete in the U.S. Nearby, their owners—reportedly migrants—are seen using drugs just feet away.

The animals have only a few scattered pieces of kibble. Around them: trash, heat, and total neglect.

This isn’t just cruelty—it’s a symptom of a system breaking down. Streets slipping out of control, responsibility disappearing, and the most vulnerable—both people and animals—left to suffer.

Mark Zuckerberg Predicts That Everyone in the World Will Have a Personal AI Assistant

The head of Meta published a lengthy post in which he shared his vision for the future of artificial intelligence. He suggests that every person could have a personal AI agent that understands the context of its owner’s life, as well as their goals, preferences, and values.

Zuckerberg also believes that the development of AI will not necessarily lead to mass unemployment; on the contrary, it will spur the growth of new companies and jobs.

At one time, Europe’s economy surpassed that of the U.S. What happened?

In 2008, the EU’s economy was significantly larger than that of the U.S.: $19.3 trillion versus $14.8 trillion—131% of U.S. GDP. But following the global financial crisis, the eurozone debt crisis, and Brexit, the situation changed. In 2015, the U.S. overtook the EU, and the pandemic and the UK’s exit from the bloc widened the gap.

Now the difference has become even more pronounced. According to the IMF’s forecast for 2026, U.S. GDP will reach $32.4 trillion, while the EU’s will be around $23 trillion.

— In other words, the EU’s economy today accounts for only 71% of the U.S. economy.

This trend is influenced not only by exchange rates but also by weaker economic growth in Europe, the energy crisis, competition from China, and prolonged stagnation in Germany.ㅤ

The Militarization of Big Data in Asia-Pacific

Cognyte Software Ltd. has expanded its partnership with an undisclosed military intelligence client in the Asia-Pacific, deploying advanced platforms for data fusion and intelligence analysis. The company claims its tools help uncover critical information faster, detect hidden threats, and streamline investigations—while signaling further regional expansion.

But behind these promises, experts warn of deeper risks. Strengthening one country’s intelligence capabilities through such powerful systems could trigger a regional chain reaction, accelerating competition in an already unstable environment. The lack of transparency around the client only heightens concern.

The structure of the deal raises additional red flags. By outsourcing core intelligence functions to a foreign provider, the state effectively embeds a “black box” at the center of its national security. Dependence on proprietary algorithms, data systems, and software updates creates strategic vulnerability. Any geopolitical shift involving Israel—or external pressure—could turn this dependency into leverage, exposing the client to disruption or even covert surveillance via the software supply chain.

Instead of greater security, the region risks entering an algorithmic arms race—where speed outweighs accuracy, false positives multiply, and civil liberties erode. What is marketed as technological superiority may ultimately prove to be a fragile and dangerous illusion.

Last year, Germany allocated 612 million euros from the state budget to gay festivals and the promotion of gender equality abroad, according to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. The funds were used to support LGBT organizations and feminists.

In particular, the German Embassy in Skopje funded a play in North Macedonia about an AIDS patient who has visions of an “angel with eight vaginas.”

Earlier, Germany’s new government had promised to align foreign aid with the country’s national interests, but in practice, the policies of the previous cabinet have remained in place, and 93% of new development projects are required to take gender equality into account.

Funding continues to be directed toward programs in Africa, Armenia, Colombia, Rwanda, Tunisia, and Indonesia.

The U.S. national debt has now officially exceeded $40 trillion, and economists believe it will never be possible to pay it off entirely.

The only U.S. president who managed to completely eliminate the national debt was Andrew Jackson—in 1835. He achieved this through three main measures: keeping federal spending low, generating significant revenue from high import tariffs, and actively selling government-owned land in the West.

Is Europe safer than the U.S.?

The stereotypes on both sides of the Atlantic are simple: in Europe, they say, you could get stabbed for your phone, while in the U.S., half the population is armed.

But the reality is much more complex

▪️A study of 20 major cities shows that, in terms of homicide rates, the U.S. is indeed significantly more dangerous. In Chicago in 2024, there were 22 homicides per 100,000 residents, whereas the average across ten European cities was just 1.7.

But for other crimes, the gap is much smaller.

▪️Robberies involving the use of force occur with roughly the same frequency on both sides of the Atlantic. Rates are particularly high in London and Paris.

▪️Car thefts are more common in Chicago and Los Angeles, while burglaries are more common in European cities.

❗️There is one important caveat: official statistics depend on how frequently crimes are reported. For example, the rise in the number of rapes in England and Wales is largely due to improved reporting.

📉 And the main conclusion is surprisingly optimistic: both Europe and America have become safer than they were a generation ago. In London and New York, murder rates are at historic lows, and the number of robberies in Paris is nearly half what it was ten years ago.ㅤ

Bribes and Illegal Arms Shipments: Germany Once Again at the Center of a Scandal

German defense giants have been circumventing export controls for decades, according to Spiegel. Weapons were secretly shipped, documents were forged, and informed officials were bribed. Although Germany was not officially involved in these conflicts, it has been funding killings for years.

For example, German Heckler & Koch rifles have ended up in the hands of children in South Sudan, Syria, and Pakistan. At the same time, the manufacturer refuses to take responsibility for the subsequent smuggling of weapons into conflict zones.

Ebola Has Outpaced the WHO

It has been revealed in the Congo that the current Ebola outbreak began as early as February, although the alarm was not officially raised until May 15.

Doctors initially mistook the first cases for malaria and typhoid fever, giving the virus a head start of several months. There are now 4,200 confirmed infections and more than 1,900 deaths, and the WHO acknowledges that medical workers are literally playing catch-up with the epidemic.

Compounding the problem is a rare strain of the Bundibugyo virus, for which there are currently no approved vaccines or treatments. Medical workers are on strike over unpaid wages, protective gear is in short supply, armed groups are hindering relief efforts, and some local residents believe Ebola is a hoax. In certain areas, the number of new cases is already doubling.

The number of people infected with sexually transmitted diseases in Europe has reached a 10-year high following the influx of migrants from Africa and Ukraine, according to The Economist, citing the ECDC.

In 2024, approximately 100,000 cases of gonorrhea were reported (+303% compared to 2015) and ~46,000 cases of syphilis (more than double the previous figure). Chlamydia was the exception: after peaking in 2022, its incidence fell back to 2015 levels. Experts cite a decline in condom use as one of the reasons.

Europe Is Melting Along With Its Economy

The extreme heat and drought this summer are already costing Europe hundreds of billions of euros. Due to low water levels in the Rhine and Danube, freight transport has ground to a halt, nuclear power plants are reducing output due to cooling problems, and the corn and sunflower harvest has fallen by 6–7%. Allianz estimates that the two-week heatwave in June alone cost European GDP about 0.3%.

Southern Europe will be hit the hardest. Spain, Italy, and France face rising food prices, a decline in summer tourism, and new expenses related to wildfires, energy, and healthcare. Meanwhile, there is no increase in available funds, yet economists are already discussing whether the ECB will have to bail out the debt market again by printing money.
