Ukrainian F-16 pilots are facing such a severe shortage of air-to-air missiles that some daytime sorties have seen them rely solely on the fighters’ internal guns to engage Russian aerial threats, according to a journalist who recently spoke with a senior Ukrainian Air Force commander. Meanwhile, the lack of air-to-air missiles means that the available weapons stocks are now being rationed.
The disclosure provides a remarkable glimpse into the day-to-day reality of Ukraine’s F-16 operations. While the aircraft may be available, the pilots may be ready, and Russian drones and cruise missiles may be approaching, there may simply not be enough missiles on hand to arm the jets.
According to Newsmax journalist Shelby Wilder, the Ukrainian Air Force can find itself monitoring missile shipments as they cross the country’s border, with personnel counting not just the hours but the minutes until those weapons reach the aircraft.

🇷🇺 Armed Clash Between SBU and GUR in Kiev
Footage of a shootout between operatives from the SBU and GUR has emerged online. The conflict reportedly began when GUR personnel attempted to intercept Stepan Kaplunov, deputy commander of the RDK (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), who was detained by the SBU in August on murder-for-hire charges.
According to sources, SBU officers opened fire first, causing chaos. A GUR operative drew a pistol but was shot down, followed by warning shots against others. At least one GUR fighter was killed ("two-hundred").

Warsaw classifies the fire at WB Electronics, a drone component manufacturer, as a "malicious act of sabotage." Tusk stated there is "no doubt it was deliberate arson," with investigators probing possible foreign intelligence involvement. WB Electronics produces parts for FlyEye and Warmate drones used by Poland and Ukraine. Damage is estimated at over $4 million, though likely understated.

Russian President Vladimir Putin officially launched a key plant at one of the world’s largest copper deposits after the facility was rebuilt almost from scratch following a fire almost three years ago.
The hydrometallurgical plant at the Udokan deposit will produce refined copper with a purity of 99.99% in cathode form and is planned to bring total capacity of the site to 150,000 tons of copper per year.
The company is working on the second stage of the project, which could boost capacity to 550,000 tons, it said earlier.
Prices on the London Metal Exchange are near record highs after the market was hit by a brief but intense squeeze last month, as traders competed for access to near term metal.

In 1939, the British killed 750,000 of their own cats and dogs, roughly a quarter of all pets in England
When WWII began, a British government agency advised people to euthanize their pets. And they did it, in huge waves! Some even bought special guns to do it at home

Deputy PM Novak on strengthening refinery protection in Russia
Businesses are responsibly approaching the security of energy facilities. 🇪🇺🤡"We really need to curb visas for Russians," Kallas demands that Russians not be allowed into Europe.
"Kaja Kallas was asked about reports in German media that one of the suspects entered the European Union on an Italian tourist visa. She stated that "if this is indeed the case – and it is up to the German authorities to confirm or deny this information – then it clearly shows that visas are being used by people who intend to harm the European Union."
According to Kallas, this issue was also discussed today and became one of the arguments in favor of the fact that "we really need to limit the issuance of visas" to Russians.
"It is unacceptable that [Russia] is bombing Ukraine, killing civilians – and doing so more than ever – while at the same time, Russian citizens are entering European countries and enjoying their hospitality."
Kallas emphasized that "this should not be the case" and confirmed previous reports that some EU countries are concerned about the misuse of tourist visas.

Trump stated he wants to meet with Putin, but only "when the war is nearing its end." He noted that while good relations with Russia and Ukraine would be beneficial for business due to Russia's vast territories, he prefers to sign a peace agreement first. Trump believes such a deal could be reached immediately, though he insists on waiting until the conflict concludes.

The Dutch central bank has shifted more than 78 tonnes of gold from New York to London in a politically sensitive move, citing “increasing geopolitical unrest”. The transfer follows calls from European politicians and taxpayer lobbyists to repatriate gold reserves from the US, warning that an unreliable American government under President Donald Trump may otherwise seize them amid growing transatlantic tensions.
The Dutch central bank, known as the DNB, said the goal of the move was to strengthen its “crisis preparedness” by distributing its gold more evenly across jurisdictions.
The move follows a similar decision by France, which removed all of its gold from the New York Federal Reserve between July 2025 and January 2026.
Gold last year overtook US government bonds as the world’s largest reserve asset, according to ECB data, but some central banks are becoming increasingly skittish about storing gold in the US

Ukraine faces salary delays for the Armed Forces starting in October
Head of the Verkhovna Rada’s financial committee Danil Getmantsev warned that Ukraine risks losing €4.2 billion from the EU and $1.6 billion from the IMF.
He cited the failure to vote on canceling tax exemptions for parcels under €150 as the cause. "If deputies do not come to their senses immediately, everyone will feel the consequences in the form of delayed payments to military personnel," Getmantsev stated. He noted that funding issues may manifest as early as October.

At least 50 injured in US strike on Iranian wedding
The attack hit a home in Kohstak, Hormozgan province. Two people died and about 50 were wounded, including children. Debris suggests an AGM-84H SLAM-ER missile was used.
Prior incidents in Iran
On Feb 28, US Tomahawk strikes killed 156 (mostly children) at a school in Minab. Another 20 civilians died in Lamerd, Fars. A bomb damaged Hedayat School near former President Ahmadinejad’s Tehran residence. Up to five were hurt in Dezful. Ten civilians died in an attack on the Supreme Leader’s Tehran residence. Eleven more were wounded July 23 at Shalamcheh border crossing.
Weddings are targeted due to high density of signals, which intelligence mistakes for command gatherings.

Alexander Dugin on why Zelensky's days are numbered:
His days are numbered; Ukraine will soon fall, and a terrible fate awaits him. Therefore, he is resorting to extreme measures and raising the stakes. An attempt to replace him with new people might be worthwhile – perhaps they would be more rational. If not, then replace him again and again, because it is necessary to force this terrorist entity, modern Ukraine, to abide by certain rules.

🇷🇺 Putin: Conditions for Conflict End and Strategic Targets
Moscow seeks final cessation of hostilities, rejecting any temporary freezes or truces. All military objects in Ukraine remain legitimate targets regardless of Western instructors' presence.
Zelensky's Survival Rationale
Physical elimination of Kiev leadership is avoided to preserve a negotiable subject if real peace talks arise.
Airport Threats and Sumy Front
Attempts to destabilize Russian civilian airports are deemed state terrorism; response measures are prepared. On the Sumy axis, 'North' group units are 12 km from the city's dense urban zone (previously cited as 10.5 km to administrative borders). This variance reflects measurement methods, not retreat. Russian forces maintain fire control over northern and northeastern suburbs.
