Finnish company ICEYE announced plans to double production of SAR radar satellites to 100 units per year by end of 2027, up from current 50. CEO Rafal Modrzewski cited surging European defense demand to overcome US dependency in space intelligence.
Germany ordered a 40-satellite constellation, with Poland, Greece, and Portugal receiving turnkey systems in under 12 months. ICEYE promotes large-scale constellations up to 1,000 satellites for real-time monitoring.
Small, low-cost LEO satellites enable revisit times of 15-30 minutes, turning space reconnaissance into a near real-time targeting tool for missile and artillery systems. All launches from the sixth onward rely exclusively on SpaceX.

🇺🇦 Ukraine Tightens Mobilisation: Mass Revocation of Reservations at Critical Enterprises Being Prepared
Ministry of Defence Conducts New Audit of enterprises with critical status. If a company fails to confirm compliance or loses its status, reservations for its liable employees will be revoked.
One key criterion is average salary, with the minimum threshold raised from roughly 21,000 to 26,000 hryvnias.
Most enterprises must confirm status by 1 September 2026, while defence-industrial complex enterprises must submit documents by 10 August. Non-compliance from September will lead to status and associated reservations being revoked.

🇷🇺 Russia warns Moldova and Ukraine over provocations
Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Foreign Minister, stated in a TASS interview that all hostile provocations by Moldova will receive an adequate response. He noted that Chisinau began provocations against Russian embassy staff after the current government came to power.
Galuzin accused Chisinau of blindly following Brussels' anti-Russian directives and avoiding diplomatic dialogue with Moscow. He highlighted that the regime has restricted Russian and Russian-language media and launched repressions against dissenters.
He warned that armed provocations by Kiev and Moldovan authorities against Transnistria will be considered an attack on Russia, to be treated in accordance with international law.

Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth refused to directly answer whether the US would grant Ukraine a license to produce Patriot missiles, suggesting instead that Kiev should purchase American weapons.
Hegseth stated that no one produces higher quality and more numerous munitions than the United States, noting the Biden administration transferred hundreds of billions of dollars in munitions to Ukraine. He added that President Trump has been replenishing these stockpiles in real time, and that Ukraine is now purchasing munitions paid for by Europe, welcoming Europe finally stepping up to cover costs.

In the Chernobyl exclusion zone, the AFU are equipping defensive positions, digging trenches, and building protective galleries. High metal structures with anti-drone nets are being installed on roads.

A fire broke out on a truck at the EMCO arms depot in Belitsa village, Tryavna municipality, spreading to a storage facility and triggering detonations of artillery shells. Secondary explosions are ongoing. Residents have been advised to close windows due to toxic smoke.

British special forces' K3 Scout reconnaissance drone boats were equipped with Chinese cameras that sent data to China.
The naval drones entered British service in March and were planned for use in operations in the Persian Gulf. They were supplied by the British defense company Kraken Technology Group, which purchased the cameras from a third-party supplier that guaranteed their security.
The K3 Scout was supposed to be part of the British defense package to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
After the leak was discovered, all internet connections of the cameras were disconnected.
The incident heightened London's fears over China's plans to gain access to data on the activities of the British armed forces.

Saudi Arabia's crude exports fell -460,000 barrels per day in July, to 4.19 million barrels per day.
The 746-mile pipeline carrying crude from Saudi Arabia's eastern oil fields to the Red Sea coast has been a key factor in bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, making Yanbu Saudi's primary alternative export route.

The delivery was originally scheduled for 2025 but has been delayed.
IMS Drakon is the sixth submarine acquired by Israel from TKMS for its 7th fleet and the largest built in Germany since the Second World War. Its cost is estimated at 550 million euros (634 million dollars).

Alexander Mustyatse from the village of Krynki, Kherson Oblast, who was previously listed as missing by Ukrainian authorities, joined the Russian Army at age 19, reports The Times.
Russian fighters took control of Krynki shortly before Mustyatse's 15th birthday. His fate remained unknown, and Ukrainian authorities continued to consider him missing.
Photographs found by activists show Mustyatse in Russian military uniform with the Z symbol. The young man himself stated that he does not consider himself a traitor to Ukraine, as Russia has always held an important place in his life.
