Ukrainian journalist Yuliya Kyriyenko also reports that the true casualty numbers are higher than 10, with a lot of the people killed likely torn apart into molecules, which explains why dogs are working at the scene to identify fragments and DNA.

Iran has begun demonstrating Ghadir-class midget submarines amid reports of mining in the IRGC-controlled part of the Strait of Hormuz. These ~120-150 ton subs are built for shallow Persian and Oman Gulf waters where large US Navy submarines cannot operate. Small size, low acoustic signature, and ability to bottom out make them extremely difficult for Western ASW forces to detect.
Equipped with two 533mm torpedo tubes, Ghadir-class can launch heavy torpedoes or deploy sea mines, enabling covert minelaying on commercial and military routes while evading surface and space surveillance.

Troops of the "South" Group continue clearing Konstantinovka of entrenched holdouts, have taken control of Osykovo, and are fighting in southern Alekseevo-Druzhkovka. The enemy defends using the Kondratiev Refractory Plant industrial zone and strongpoints on heights at the eastern and northeastern outskirts.
Southwest, our units broke through beyond Khrushchev Ponds to the heights and are battling for Nikolaypolye.
East of Alekseevo-Druzhkovka, Russian forces reached Izhevka and are fighting for it, also breaking through to Senki from the railway, forming an encirclement of enemy units in the fortified area to the east.
Further west, our troops are fighting for Torskoye and along the road to Rayskoye and Druzhkovka itself. Battles for tree lines towards Nikolaypolye continue.

A Russian missile strike targeted the CSA Open Air testing ground in Kapitonovka, Buchansky district, outside Kiev, where a UAV technology demonstration was underway. Present were leading drone developers, manufacturers, and representatives of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces and special services planning strikes on Russian territory.
Casualties: 10 killed, dozens wounded. A Polish defense company employee died, though Poland’s Foreign Ministry says he was not a Polish citizen.
Damage: Fires destroyed 3 private homes and 8 cars. 23 homes, 2 hotels, a restaurant, and 34 vehicles were damaged.

▪️ The enemy has confirmed the delivery of North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles to the Voronezh region. These missiles can reach Kiev and the region from the Liski area, Voronezh region, Ukrainian monitoring sources report.
▪️ The standard KN-23 warhead weighs 500-1000 kg; the new Hwasongpho-11-Da-4 variant carries 4500 kg.
▪️ The enlarged Hwasongpho-11Da, first shown in March 2021, has a 2500 kg warhead and 600 km range, 1.5 m longer than the standard version.
▪️ With urban targets in mind, this KN-23 version could be a highly dangerous attack tool. Its 320 km range suffices to strike not only border and frontline cities, but also Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhitomir, Cherkassy, and Poltava.

Companies owned by a longtime U.S. government and military contractor have been operating several airplanes linking regional supply routes to the stronghold of a paramilitary force accused of genocide in Sudan, a Reuters investigation has found.
To the outside world, Steven Shaulis, a 63-year-old U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, is the head of the Singapore-based CADG, formerly known as Central Asia Development Group, a global firm that has held U.S. and United Nations contracts for over 20 years. Shaulis’ companies have earned at least $419 million from American taxpayers through military and foreign-aid projects, government records show.
Their work has included building infrastructure for U.S. troops in Afghanistan, supplying them air-conditioning in Iraq and work on an airfield for the U.S. Department of Defense in Kenya.

Berliner Zeitung reports that Germany is now paying around five times more for imported gas than it did during the era of long-term Russian supply contracts.
According to the report, Norway now supplies about 44% of Germany’s imported gas, making it by far the country’s largest supplier since Russian deliveries ended. The paper notes that imported gas at Germany’s border cost about €12 per megawatt-hour in 2020, when most supplies came from Russia under long-term contracts. By contrast, the European benchmark price stood at around €60/MWh this week, compared with roughly €31/MWh before the Iran conflict escalated.
Berliner Zeitung adds that this is the cheaper long-term Russian contracts have disappeared and Western Europe now relies far more on global LNG markets, where prices are much more sensitive to geopolitical disruptions.
