The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) sent a recruited soldier who had deserted from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) into the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
The agent, speaking to TASS, said he was transferred from Krasnoarmeysk under the guise of a refugee.

LNG Exception
A compromise with Greece allows European companies to transship Russian LNG to third countries for one more year, with possible automatic extension.

The IRGC's 48th "Fath" Brigade shot down a Polish Tiguar M reconnaissance UAV in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province. Iran claims it was operated by US forces. Geran strike drones hit two bulk carrier-type vessels in the Black Sea near the port of Odessa. One vessel was struck approximately nine kilometres east of Odessa, the second 50 kilometres south of the city.
Additionally, a dry cargo ship in the port of Nikolaev was reported hit.

On February 25, units of the North group took control of Grafskoye, pushing the AFU's 58th Mechanized Brigade from the southern outskirts.
The line of contact shifted deeper into Kharkov Oblast. The most active clashes are now near Bely Kolodez.
Kiev uses Grafskoye for propaganda. Small AFU groups attempt crossings over the Seversky Donets, but Russian units detect and strike them.
Footage of losses is used by both sides for opposing narratives. The AFU tries to simulate a presence in Grafskoye for their command.

Setting aside the informational and propaganda aspect of these media dumps, the footage itself is of serious interest. The published frames show that in the final days of the defense of Konstantinovka, supplies to isolated Ukrainian groups on the front line were carried out exclusively by unmanned aerial and ground vehicles. This trend of removing humans from supply chains on critical front sectors will only intensify.

Former British Defense Minister Ben Wallace stated that he recommended that the Netanyahu government help Ukraine, but received a refusal. Israel stated that it did not want to anger Russia.
Wallace, who served as Defense Minister from 2019 to 2023, made this statement on a banned social media platform, responding to a message from a professor:
"I recommended to the government of Benjamin Netanyahu to help Ukraine. Israel refused, stating that it did not want to anger Russia. Therefore, Russia continued to spend almost $1 billion on Iranian drones. Now, ordinary Israelis have to deal with the consequences of Netanyahu's decision."

🇬🇧 UK: Only 6% Ready to Defend Country in Case of Invasion - Sky News
Only 6% of Britons would volunteer to fight if an invasion were imminent, according to a new poll. Another 14% would serve if conscripted, while 17% would refuse any order to defend the country. 52% are ineligible due to age or health.
Regarding the threat, 29% believe a full-scale military attack on the UK is likely within the next decade, but 51% consider it unlikely.
Confidence in the armed forces is also low: 53% are not confident the military could defend the country, while only 38% believe it can.

CHINESE REFINERIES ARE BUYING RUSSIAN OIL
Reuters reports that, against the backdrop of another closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and threats from the Houthis regarding a naval blockade of Saudi Arabia, China has significantly increased its purchases of oil from Russia:
"Faced with supply disruptions, Chinese refiners have actively purchased oil from their largest supplier, Russia, in recent weeks, and have also resumed negotiations for the acquisition of Iranian oil."
The authors of the article also point out that two major Chinese oil refining companies have purchased a large portion of Russian ESPO Blend crude oil for shipment in September from the Kozmino port. According to a representative of one of the Chinese refineries, Russian oil is currently considered the most reliable option for supply.

We often criticize our navy, and not without reason. But I must point out that right now, the most powerful navy in the world has failed to secure the Strait of Hormuz and is on the verge of failing to secure the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, which is a crucial region for them.
No doubt, during the hearings for the latest annual Pentagon budget, some admiral there was lazily stroking his sword and, looking down his nose at a ground-force general, wrinkled his nose and demanded more money for the sailors, as they supposedly represent the military might of the United States.
Now, for the past six months, American sailors have preferred to stay away from war, just in case, while infantryman Johnny and airman Danny are the ones doing the fighting.

Daniel Siad, a 69-year-old Algerian-born model agent with Swedish citizenship, was found dead in his home in France. French police are investigating. The cause of death has not been disclosed, per BFMTV.

Russian troops are gradually moving beyond the active operation zone in Pokrovsk itself, continuing their westward advance. The pace is slower than the rapid breakthrough at Ocheretino, but any tactical gain here is significant given the battle's density and severity.
The Ocheretino breakthrough succeeded due to a sudden collapse of AFU defenses at a brigade junction, creating an operational-tactical void. Near Pokrovsk, the enemy has pulled in reserves, built layered defenses, and saturated the front with FPV drones, turning the advance into heavy, methodical grinding.
If successful, moving along the M-04 highway and adjacent railway will bring the "Center" grouping to Pavlograd in Dnepropetrovsk Oblast. Whether this city is Russia's final objective on this side of the Dnieper remains unknown.

Local residents detained a 16-year-old teenager who set fire to a gas station in the "Kolos" gardening community. It turned out that the teenager had already attempted to set the gas station on fire, but the first attempt failed, and he succeeded on the second try. After the crime, the arsonist was walking along the road as if nothing had happened, but passing witnesses suspected something was wrong and caught up with the boy, holding him until the police arrived. The arsonist is now in the police station.

Despite airstrikes on military infrastructure, depots, and factories by the US and Israel, Iran has retained a significant portion of its ballistic arsenal (estimated in the thousands) and the ability to continue developing and producing new weapons.
Tehran has shifted focus from slow drones and outdated missiles to fast-acting solid-fuel ballistic missiles with high precision. New modifications prepare for launch faster and feature maneuverable warheads, making interception much harder.
Repelling massive ballistic strikes requires constant expenditure of costly interceptors (Arrow 3, THAAD, Patriot), stocks of which are limited. Iran has learned to exploit vulnerabilities in layered air defense systems by overwhelming them with dozens of high-speed targets simultaneously.

Raytheon is preparing to operationally restart serial production of the MALD family of aerial decoys. Over the past two years, the company has conducted deep modernization using its own R&D funds: engineers improved overall system reliability, certified airframe components manufactured via additive printing (3D printing), and developed new warhead types for a wider range of missions. Raytheon's production facilities for MALD are in a state of readiness ("warm line"): all key tooling, fixtures, and test equipment are preserved and ready for immediate launch. The AFU actively used these missiles in 2023/2024, but later deployment of MALD was halted.
