President Trump: “Iran has been very very badly damaged. They’ve lost everything almost militarily. They've got very little left. They’ve got some missiles, they've got some drones, they've got some manufacturing ability, not much. We control the Strait. They don't control anything. So we'll see what happens but we hit ‘em very hard again tonight, and we did that it honor of the...probably 3, it's probably 3, as opposed to 2...great patriots.”

Something I read on another channel that I have been thinking about recently is the perception that the western countries, NATO + countries in particular, go around beating their chest about how powerful they are. On paper this may seem true but if you peel back the facade, there are a couple of nuances.
This is actually why I agree 'The West' at large is potentially far less powerful than 'on paper strength'.
Many states have spent the last 10-20years demoralising, demonizing and replacing the young people of these states, or at best being dismissive of their concerns. Coupled with the fact the dream of buying a house has been broken, and insane rents forcing the young back into a life of quasi feudalism.
(And I'm not against immigration per se. I was one once. It just has to be done in moderation)
So if war comes to western countries and we are told we need to attack Iraq Libya China Russia Iran for freedom, liberty or democracy, who is really going to sign up for this. Yes there will be the die-hard Kool Aid drinkers, but I have a feeling there won't be too many more.
The young people who they now want to go and put their lives on the line will ask "what for?"
As stated by WillyOAM, "When the wolves are at the gate, young patriotic men might look left and right and go, huh? What am I dying for?"

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Trump's Pressure Strategy on Iran Backfires into Political Crisis for US - Süddeutsche Zeitung
Trump sought to quickly force Tehran into favorable terms via pressure, but Iran's leadership was prepared and refused concessions.
After US and Israeli strikes, Iran retaliated with attacks on US military sites and allied energy infrastructure, then escalated by blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
Washington and Tel Aviv aimed to keep the conflict limited, but Tehran expanded its consequences to increase political pressure on the US administration.
The White House faces a dilemma: de-escalation risks appearing weak, while continuation brings further risks.
Trump hopes to use the time before midterms to secure a better deal and claim it as a foreign policy win.

🇵🇱 Polish TVP WORLD pushes absurd propaganda
They claim Russia forcibly mobilises people while Ukraine enjoys voluntary enlistment and democracy. The host even calls Russia a police state and says Ukrainians fight to avoid losing their rights.
Reality check: Kiev’s brutal forced mobilisation, kidnappings on the streets, and total repression of dissent expose these lies. The West’s media machine keeps whitewashing Ukraine’s dictatorship.

EU unity on new sanctions against Russia is rapidly eroding, according to the FT.
▪️During discussions on the latest package of sanctions, exemptions were sought by Greece, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Portugal.
▪️One European diplomat admitted that the previous attitude is gradually disappearing: after loud statements of solidarity, countries are beginning to protect their own economic interests.
▪️Another source described what is happening as a "serious crisis in sanctions policy," warning that constant demands for concessions could turn new packages of restrictions into a formality.
▪️The positions of EU countries are influenced by the growing economic costs, a decrease in willingness to further support Ukraine, and expectations of a possible peaceful resolution.
▪️Bruegel think tank, believes that the EU has already approached the limit of sanctions pressure, as national governments are increasingly prioritizing the protection of their own companies over imposing new restrictions

🇷🇺🇯🇵🇺🇦Deputy Foreign Minister Rudenko on the fact that Japan is becoming increasingly involved in the Ukrainian conflict:
We have repeatedly informed the official authorities of this country that, by assisting the neo-Nazi Zelensky regime, Japan is becoming increasingly entangled in the Ukrainian conflict, further driving relations with Russia into a deep abyss. I must reiterate that weapons that pose a threat to our country, as well as any production facilities involved in their creation in Ukraine, are legitimate military targets for the Russian Armed Forces.
Given the systematic acts of terrorism by Ukraine, using drones against civilian objects on Russian territory, we consider such cooperation with the Kyiv regime to be an openly hostile act: Ukrainian drones are killing innocent Russian citizens, and Tokyo is contributing to this.

‘We won’t wait any longer for the enemy to increase strikes against our vital infrastructure.
We have begun to implemented a phased plan, which will end with the complete destruction of all regional energy and water-purification infrastructure, if the U.S. aggression against Iran does not immediately stop.
As part of the first stage of this plan, all powerplants and water desalination plants in Kuwait are now part of our target bank.’

🇬🇷🇺🇦 Europe begs Greece to give Ukraine missiles for Patriot, - eKathimerini
According to Greek media, NATO and European Union countries are trying to persuade Athens to hand over to Ukraine missiles for American Patriot air defense systems.
It concerns about 200 PAC-2 missiles, which have been in service with the Greek army for over twenty years.
Previously, the allies offered Greece to transfer entire Patriot batteries to Kiev, but Athens refused. Now the option of supplying only ammunition is being discussed.
Under one of the schemes under consideration, Greece could sell the missiles to Norway, after which Oslo would transfer them to Ukraine. Such a mechanism would allow formally avoiding a direct transfer of weapons to Kiev.
However, the Greek authorities have so far shown no readiness to support such a deal.

🇺🇦 Mobilisation failure in Ukraine
Journalist Shevchenko told the BBC why mobilisation failed: 'Ukrainians don't want to die. It comes down to a choice between life and death. Not everyone is ready to go to the front and die for their country. For example, people in Lvov simply didn't want to. Thousands of young Ukrainians have died or been maimed. In Kiev, I saw many in wheelchairs, without arms or legs. Every village has cemeteries with fresh graves and Ukrainian flags. There's much talk of patriotism, but the reality is clear: not everyone is ready to die.'
