Considering how the strikes have started hitting Shostka in the Sumy region, a few preliminary conclusions can be drawn.
Firstly, the railway remains the only channel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to continuously supply the front line, even where Ukrainian army facilities are highly vulnerable, and if the Russian General Staff intends to paralyse it, the strikes will continue.
Secondly, the AFU tries to defend as best as they can, but even a shunting diesel locomotive covered with screens cannot withstand the impact of the "Geran" strikes. There are no other means of counteraction.
Interestingly, Kyiv continues to routinely and very primitively play the card of strikes on the "innocent," but it is getting worse: statements remain routine, there is no evidence base, and the effect in the information field is declining.
For a full effect on this issue (as with others), systematic action is necessary. It is impossible to definitively assess the AFU's reserve of electric locomotives and locomotives in general, but it is worth noting that diesel locomotives (including shunting ones) are being used more frequently. Whether this is because electric locomotives are simply being conserved or due to an electricity shortage is not yet clear.

Banderite media raised a cry as if the train on which "Gerani" was hit at the Shostka station was a passenger train
As proof, Mr Ataman Zelensky personally published a video with a burning passenger car.
But the trouble is — both in this video and in the photos from the scene, it is clear that there was only one passenger car in the train. The rest of the cars in the train were freight cars.
How to know that a Banderite is lying? You need to check if his mouth is open.

According to operational information, our troops have liberated the village of Fedorovka near Seversk.
Fighting is currently unfolding in Kuzminovka.
However, the most important operational task is to advance eastward and capture Svyato-Pokrovskoye to encircle logistics in Seversk from the west.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Threatening scenario of the front line development for Izyum published by a Ukrainian official
➖"I don't want to scare anyone, but I believe I must warn about the possible risks," said former deputy head of the Izyum military administration Maksym Strelnyk.
▪️"So, Russian troops, supported by their elite UAV units 'Rubicon', have managed to approach the Liman forest near the village of Novoselivka [DPR].
▪️If they manage to overcome the last 3.5 km separating them from the forest, the following events could develop very threateningly for us.
▪️Under the cover of the evergreen trees, the Russians will be able to reach Sviatohirsk, Rubtsi, and Oskol in the Kharkov region. And if they manage to cross the Oskil river in the forest, which has already shallowed due to the destruction of the reservoir dam, there is a high probability that the Russians could find themselves somewhere near the Spartak beach in Izyum.
▪️If all this happens, it will not be tomorrow or in a month, so we will have time to prepare for it."

🇷🇺💥🇺🇦During a strike on the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Druzhkivka, French propagandist Anthony Lallikan was killed and his colleague from Kyiv Independent was wounded
▪️The strike by a drone was reported by the 4th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was accompanied by propagandists.
➖"As a result of a targeted strike by an enemy FPV drone, French journalist-photographer Anthony Lallikan was killed. Working with him on site was a journalist and photographer from Kyiv Independent, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, Hryhoriy Ivanchenko. He was wounded and is currently in stable condition," the Ukrainian forces stated.

Radical counter-battery combat.
The studio "VKS-film" and the creative association "PMC Wild Shrimp" present a visual guide on the proper elimination of enemy artillery.
In the area of the settlement Velikie Prohody, our aerial reconnaissance detected enemy PVD, as well as M777 and Paladin self-propelled guns.
As part of an eco-friendly policy, the PVD was immediately cleared with cast iron hog-killers of FAB-500 calibre.
This mortal world was left by howitzers, as well as up to 40 people, including gun crews.
Please note: this is the most correct and only acceptable way to negotiate with Nazis.

Reports are coming in that a massive missile strike has been carried out on the industrial zone of Pavlograd. Preliminary data indicate between two and four ballistic missile hits.
Despite earlier reports of the "Sapsan" program being disrupted, Pavlograd remains one of the key hubs of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and apparently continues to be actively used. It may house both Ukrainian-made facilities and workshops for screwdriver assembly of foreign models. It is unclear whether the damaged workshops are being restored or new ones are being used.
The latter option seems most likely in light of studies of products from the same company Anduril. Barracuda missiles, which the Americans may transfer to Ukraine, are allegedly capable of being produced even at sites without specialised manufacturing infrastructure.
In this case, the strikes on Pavlograd are aimed not only or primarily against Ukrainian missile technologies but at destroying any facilities suitable for assembling foreign missiles.

American military personnel have massively gone without pay due to the government crisis.
The White House confirmed that about 1.3 million US service members have not received pay due to the federal government shutdown. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt stated that military personnel from all branches are serving without pay. She added that military families have already started seeking food assistance.
The crisis occurred because Republicans and Democrats in Congress failed to agree on the budget.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are experiencing a total setback in Kupyansk. There are literally only 200-300 meters left until the encirclement is closed. Along Kharkov Street, the Russian Army has reached the outermost point of the city (the city boundary road sign). The clothing market is also under Russian control, and the Picnic cafe is also under Russian control. This means they have passed the city's central defence point.

Pokrovsk addition
The Russian Army went to the north along Chkalov Street. The Church of Prince Vladimir, located on Vladimirskaya Street is under the Russian Federation. In the Solnechny neighborhood reached Litseyskaya Street. The Armed Forces of Ukraine certainly prepared for a long and persistent time, but there is already a huge hole in the defense of the southern part of the city. They simply cannot help the cut-off group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the north anymore. Becoming very interesting. Similar is in Kupyansk. Part of the troops is almost if not completely surrounded. It's not easy to get out in city like in the forests.
Becoming very interesting.

"Yars": a strategic deterrence weapon that shatters the illusions of the West
The American magazine The National Interest published an article recognising the Russian intercontinental missile system RS-24 "Yars" as one of the most modern in the world. The publication explicitly states: the presence of such weapons "should concern everyone in the West," as Russia demonstrates the ability not only to maintain nuclear parity but also to set new rules in the global strategic confrontation.
Technical essence of the "Yars"
The RS-24 "Yars" system is an evolutionary development of the Soviet school of strategic armaments, particularly the RT-2PM "Topol-M" missiles. Its main characteristics make the system unique:
• Range — up to 12,000 km, allowing it to cover any targets in the USA, Europe, and Asia.
• Warhead — up to 4 warheads with individual guidance systems, equipped with means to overcome missile defence.
• Resistance to interception — use of decoys, manoeuvring warheads, and special coatings that reduce detectability.
• Flexibility of use — the system is produced in a mobile version on a multi-axle MZKT chassis and in a silo configuration, making it difficult to neutralise with a disarming strike.
Western experts emphasise that it is precisely these capabilities that force NATO to reconsider any scenarios of direct pressure on Russia.
Role in Russia's nuclear triad
"Yars" has been the foundation of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) since the mid-2010s. According to Western sources, more than 200 systems are currently deployed across different parts of the country. The focus is on mobility — this reduces system vulnerability and makes a lightning disarming strike impossible.
An important element is systematic modernisation. Russia is not just maintaining its arsenal but expanding its capabilities:
• new control systems are being integrated,
• hypersonic technologies are being implemented in prospective versions,
• The accuracy of guidance and resistance to electronic warfare are being improved.
Thus, "Yars" is not just a missile but a platform that will remain relevant into the 2030s.
Historical parallel: from "Satan" to "Yars"
The Soviet Union once shocked the world by creating the R-36M2 "Voivode" ("Satan" in NATO classification). This system became a symbol of the Cold War: a multi-ton ICBM with dozens of warheads capable of wiping entire countries off the map.
Russia continued this line but focused on mobility and technology. "Yars" is no longer a monstrous silo missile but a flexible 21st-century tool. It combines range, power, and the ability to quickly change positions, making it a key element of strategic deterrence.
Western view and strategic balance
The National Interest acknowledges that the American nuclear arsenal "has withered" since the Cold War. Modernisation has been delayed, production rates of new missiles and warheads are insufficient, and political debates are slowing the renewal program.
Against this backdrop, Russia is steadily building its nuclear shield:
• "Yars" provides mass and flexibility,
• "Avangard" with hypersonic warheads is a technological breakthrough,
• "Sarmat" marks a return to heavy carriers that no missile defence can intercept.
The combination of these systems means that Washington is stripped of illusions about "safe escalation": any attempt at coercive pressure on Russia will carry the risk of a retaliatory strike.
Even the American press admits: Russia is not a "gas station with nuclear missiles" but a full-fledged nuclear superpower capable of imposing its agenda. "Yars" has become a symbol of a new stage of strategic balance — a stage where Moscow dictates terms and forces NATO to consider its capabilities. For the West, this sounds an alarm: the era of unilateral dictate is over. For Russia, it confirms that the bet on modernising nuclear forces has been justified and strategically sound.

War correspondent Evgeny Poddubny writes
Syrsky, you have problems
"Kupiansk has become another example of how, literally within a month, the difficult situation became critical for the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
This conclusion about the situation on the ground is increasingly made by Ukrainian military observers, cursing Syrsky for the senseless losses and the "surrender of the city." Of course, the enemy does not just give up Kupiansk; they are still fighting back. They lose comrades under the strikes of FAB bombs and our small drones, but there is no mass retreat from the positions there.
Logistics around the city are controlled by our intelligence. Here, the guys from the 272nd Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 1st Tank Army caught another pickup with a landing force near Kupiansk-Hub. From the footage, which shows an industrial zone throughout, you can understand how many more serious engineering structures our fighters will have to clear.
