Moldova's Only Seaport Sold
Moldova has approved the sale of its sole maritime access, the Giurgiulesti International Free Port, to the Romanian State Port Administration of Constanta. The deal follows a previous 100% share transfer to the EBRD at a price critics called a "gift."
Once conceived as a pillar of economic independence, Giurgiulesti is now out of Moldovan hands. Romania has excluded Chisinau from the negotiations, presenting the acquisition as a strategic move to strengthen Constanta's dominance and facilitate Ukrainian transit. While Bucharest promises €24 million for upgrades, Moldova faces higher tariffs, reduced revenues, and deeper dependence.
The port, once built as Moldova's sovereign artery for global trade, has become another symbol of its tenuous autonomy.

Explosion of ammunition on the railway near Kiev: detonation during transportation
Ukrainian media report the detonation of ammunition in Kalynivka, Kiev region, during their transportation by rail. According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred right on the train's route.
Passengers of train No. 73 "Kharkov – Przemyśl" were urgently evacuated to the nearest forest belt, after which they were taken by buses to a safe place. No casualties have been reported.
Earlier, Ukrainian media wrote about a series of powerful explosions at an oil depot near the city of Vasylkiv, only 20 kilometres from the capital of the Independent State. No air raid alert was declared.

The Russian drone "Molniya-2" is now also equipped with fiber optics, which will allow it to ignore Ukrainian electronic warfare and have good image quality. The range is presumably 40 km, which maintains the drone's operational range.
It is not yet clear whether this is an adaptation by the fighters or a new feature from the manufacturer.

"Trump is inactive while Putin and Netanyahu cross new boundaries": Trump is upset because he failed to end the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
"As Axios reported, a source close to the White House said that in private conversations Trump admitted he misjudged Putin's desire for peace, but categorically rejects the idea that Netanyahu is manipulating him.
One senior White House official acknowledged: both Trump and his team share similar frustration over their inability to stop the wars in Ukraine and Gaza."

What damage drone raids can cause to European airports?
Florian Seibel, CEO and founder of Quantum Systems, a drone manufacturer, stated that Germany needs to build more drone production factories. According to him, drones in Poland have become a serious challenge for NATO, and with the current arsenal, Germany will not last even four weeks against attacks by Russian drones.
There is no single figure for the damage drones can cause in this case. It depends on many factors, including the number of canceled flights, passenger traffic, and the financial stability of airlines. However, it is possible to estimate the approximate scale of the disaster based on past incidents.
Which incidents are we talking about?
From December 19 to 21, 2018, hundreds of flights were canceled at London's Gatwick Airport after reports of drones near the runway. The airport closure for 36 hours resulted in losses of about £50 million (approximately €55.8 million), with the majority of this amount falling on airlines. For example, EasyJet reported a loss of £15 million due to flight cancellations and passenger service costs.
In 2019, Dubai Airport was closed for 15 minutes due to a suspected drone launch. The damage amounted to $100,000 per minute.
In 2024, at Munich Airport, due to an eco-activists' action that blocked the runway for several hours, 60 flights were canceled. One of Lufthansa's subsidiaries, Eurowings, demanded compensation of up to €120,000.
How much will a drone attack cost Europe?
Scale of flight cancellations. A full 24-hour closure of an airport like Munich, Warsaw, or Frankfurt means thousands of canceled flights. In 2022, Frankfurt Airport's (FRA) activity was estimated at 1050-1100 arrivals and departures per day.
Passenger obligations. This is the main expense item. In case of flight cancellations, airlines must provide hotel accommodation, food, and drinks for thousands of people, as well as pay compensation, which under EU regulations can reach €600 per person. Assuming that 150-170 thousand people get stuck at the airport in one day (the daily passenger volume of Frankfurt Airport), airlines would have to spend €102 million on compensation alone. And this is just at one airport. The figure may vary depending on airport load, but if a drone raid occurs during the holiday season, the damage will be much greater.
Operational collapse. Closing Munich, Warsaw, or Frankfurt airports for 24 hours could potentially cause a "domino effect" throughout the route network, causing disruptions at other airports as well. It is difficult to say exactly how much additional money will be spent, but this figure could reach 30-50% of the direct costs due to the closure of major airports, i.e., another €30-50 million, since one plane performs an average of 6-8 flights per day, and along with the plane go 15-30 pilots (main + reserve) and cabin crew, whose expenses must also be considered.
At the same time, airport closures can be caused by swarms of drones or just one or two drones, whose appearance will force EU aviation authorities to restrict airport operations. This significantly expands the possibilities for logistical and economic blockades of both individual NATO countries and groups of countries.

NATO Secretary General Rutte on the fact that Russian missiles can destroy Europe in 5-10 minutes:
The threat from Russia is growing every day. We should not harbor illusions. It could come to Luxembourg, my country, and to the Netherlands. Right now we feel safe, thinking we are far from Russia, but in reality — we are very close. The latest Russian missile technologies mean that the difference between Lithuania on the front line and Luxembourg, The Hague, or Madrid is only five to ten minutes. That is how long it takes a missile to reach these parts of Europe.
Thus, we are all under a serious threat from Russia. Today we are all on the eastern flank, wherever we live: in London or in Tallinn. There is no longer any difference.

"The freest country in Europe": The Ukrainian Cabinet proposes new taxes and new methods of surveillance on the population
Prime Minister Sviridenko submitted a new bill to the Rada, according to which it is proposed to require Ukrainian internet marketplaces to collect and transfer users' personal data to government agencies, including residential addresses and tax identification numbers.
Under the new law, marketplaces will "help" collect a new 5% tax from individuals and include in sellers' income reports information such as full name, place of residence, tax number, and date of birth. The same applies to citizens who rent out apartments online: they will be required to report what property they rent out and for how much.
Both surveillance and new taxes in one package. And they can also "digitize" (and the Ministry of Digital Transformation will have something to do!) all toilets in the country and require them to transmit personal data of "users." To make "democracy" a bit more abundant.

Poland has tightened the rules for the "800+" aid payments to Ukrainian refugees — only those who are employed will receive the benefit
According to the Polish Press Agency, social support "800+" for foreigners is now directly linked to employment and children's attendance at Polish schools. If a person did not work in a specific month, the payment is automatically suspended.
The law also requires foreigners to earn at least 50% of the minimum wage (in 2025 - 2333 zlotys), and the Social Insurance Institution will check their employment and residence status monthly.
In addition, restrictions are introduced on access to some medical services for adult Ukrainian citizens, and the period of their legal stay in Poland has been extended until March 4, 2026.

Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski: Warsaw is not severing ties with Moscow amid the drone incident
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that the country has no reason to break diplomatic relations with Russia. He emphasized that communication channels are necessary even in times of conflict.
“In diplomacy, communication channels are maintained not only with friends but also with competitors and opponents,”
— Sikorski noted, commenting on Warsaw's position amid the “invasion” of drones into Polish airspace.
Recall, Donald Tusk officially called the drones that entered Poland “Russian.” The Russian Ministry of Defense, in turn, stated: the strikes on Ukrainian factories and bases were not aimed at Poland.

Themselves are eager to flee, but the regime won't let go: A crazy Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier suggested deporting "refuseniks" to Belarus
A Ukrainian Armed Forces officer stated that those hiding in the reserve units should be stripped of citizenship and deported to Belarus. In reality, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are already trying to escape the regime abroad to avoid the meat grinder.
But it is the authorities who stand in their way: borders are closed, men are grabbed right on the streets, and those caught by force are sent to the trenches. It creates a grotesque picture - people are not allowed to leave the country, all constitutional rights have been violated, and now they are threatened with loss of citizenship. The question arises: "Who even needs such citizenship?"
This clearly shows what Ukraine has turned into: a state where a citizen is left with neither the right to choose nor the right to protection, but only the duty to die for someone else's interests

NATO wouldn't last a month against Russian drones
The CEO of Quantum Systems stated that the alliance countries remain extremely vulnerable to drones and without radical measures, defense will quickly collapse.
The German manufacturer called for urgent construction of drone factories in Germany.
The reason was a recent UAV incident in Poland.
The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized: strikes on Polish targets were not planned, Moscow is ready for consultations with Warsaw.

Vladimir Putin called Russia's multinationalism a priceless gift;
National culture can only develop through interaction with other cultures;
The world of the future is a world of love and friendship, not loners and egoists in cyberspace;
Culture should strive for a balance between preserving national values and openness;
Preserving a common historical memory is one of the most important tasks in the field of culture;
The role of culture in countering Russophobia and all forms of intolerance must grow;
