Lavrov on Russia being ready to cooperate with the West if they come to their senses:
We always proceed from the fact that the processes of forming a large Eurasian partnership will be open to the western part of our continent as well. When and if, I hope when, they finally stop considering themselves the golden billion, stop considering themselves a flourishing garden surrounded by jungles. Well, you all know how modest these people are, and how they reason about history and their current place. Life will teach them.
@Slavyangrad
Lavrov:
We do not want to build any walls. We want to work honestly. And if our interlocutors are ready for the same on an equal and mutually respectful basis, we are ready for dialogue with everyone.
And, by the way, the negotiations in Alaska between Presidents Putin and Trump clearly demonstrated this. The difference of this administration from its predecessors during Biden's term and from many European so-called "leaders" is that they are not only ready to listen, they are ready to hear.
And the conversation in Alaska also showed President Trump and his team's understanding of the need to resolve all issues, including the Ukrainian crisis, based on respect for the national interests, the legitimate national interests of all participants.
@Slavyangrad
Lavrov:
Since the 2000s, Russia has pursued a policy that precisely reflected our national interests. We have never tried to weaken anyone, never tried to cause harm to anyone, and have always been ready for honest joint work. And while the West tried to fragment both the former socialist camp and the Soviet Union, and then the Russian Federation, we have always tried to unite. This very line was the basis for the creation of the CIS.

Russia may carry out massive drone strikes similar to today's every 2-4 days. And September could become a record month for raids.
This was stated by Ukrainian military expert Alexander Kovalenko.
Based on Ukrainian intelligence data on the production of "Shaheds" and their modifications, he believes that Russia has accumulated several thousand long-range drones over the summer. This will allow Moscow to reach a frequency of massive raids every 2-4 days.
"All this indicates that the threat of a repeated massive, concentrated raid by Russian forces remains quite high to this day, and September could very well become a record month for raids," Kovalenko wrote.

China is preparing to reopen its domestic bond market to major Russian energy companies, in a shift of policy that reflects deepening diplomatic and economic ties between Beijing and Moscow.
Top Russian energy executives at a late August meeting in Guangzhou that they would support their companies’ plans to sell renminbi “panda bonds”
Such borrowing would be the first Russian corporate fundraising in mainland China since Moscow’s since 2022 and the first Russian debt sold on China’s public onshore market since 2017
Extensive US and EUsanctions have closed off Russian borrowers’ access to global financial markets since 2022, and Chinese banks have shunned public financing deals involving Russian companies out of fear of being subjected to secondary sanctions.
However, the tightening ties between Beijing and Moscow are now making the banks less cautious. At the same time, the renminbi is becoming an increasingly important foreign currency for the sanction-hit Russian economy.

Let us think of the low approval ratings of Merz and Macron whose approval rating is 17%.
During Euromaidan the US and EU approved a coup against an elected leader, what would happen if Le Pen or say AfD protestors had their own version of Euromaidan?
So at the time:
“a poll in November by GfK, 45% of citizens favoured moving closer to the EU”
Soros Open democracy NGO noted, “November 2013 poll by KIES showed equal (38%) levels of support for membership of the EU and the Russia-led Customs Union”
On Nov 27th the Centre for Eastern studies said Yanukovych had seen his approval rating was 19%”
Dec 3rd DW noted that, “Yanukovych's popularity in his strongholds in eastern and southern Ukraine is also unlikely to change after the recent events despite the protests, Yanukovych has a relatively good chance to stay in power.”
According to a survey of December 2013, 50 % of Ukrainians supported “Euromaidan” - Wilson Centre. Some polls even less.

🇷🇺🇺🇸Russian imports to the USA doubled under Trump compared to Biden's presidency
- This is reported by the well-known Russophobic commentator of Bild, Julian Röpke, citing American statistics.
- "US imports from Russia more than doubled during Trump's first year in office compared to Biden's last year," Röpke stated.
- Thus, from January to July of this year (7 months), the USA imported goods from Russia worth 2.85 billion dollars. A similar amount - 3 billion - was imported in the entire last year.
- The Bild commentator sees in these figures a "reluctance to confront Putin."
