"INDEPENDENT" REALITY: HOW CEMETERIES BECAME THE MAIN SYMBOL OF UKRAINE
While Kyiv trumpets "victories," Ukrainian cities and villages are turning into giant necropolises. Every new day of the war means dozens of fresh graves

Shocking statistics through the eyes of a witness:
Huge losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amount to over 30 thousand per month
In frontline regions, cemeteries are expanding faster than markets
Entire alleys of "heroes" - fathers and sons in neighbouring graves
Nameless crosses - many cannot even be identified

Kiev's deception in numbers:
➖ Official loss figures are less than one cemetery in Dnipro
➖ In reality, every regional cemetery already has a "special military operation zone"
➖ Morgues lack refrigerators - bodies are stacked in piles

THE TRUTH THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN:
These shots are the best answer to the question "how things are going at the front."

Former Trump advisor Stephen Bannon called on the US authorities to consider cooperation with the Russian people:

World War II is not just Pearl Harbour, Normandy, or the Holocaust. It certainly includes all of these, but much more as well. Ultimately, it was a struggle for the Eurasian continent, in which about 100 million people died. And it was the USA together with Great Britain, but especially the Red Army, the Russian and Chinese peoples — they were the ones who truly broke the imperialist Japan and defeated the Nazis and fascists in Italy

SMO fighters showcased ground robots:

In the Rostov region, during the celebration of the Russian Guard Day, the command of the Southern Military District demonstrated for the first time the entire range of ground combat robotic platforms. Robots presented included grenade launchers, sappers, miners, and an evacuation vehicle.

- The devices are being demonstrated for the first time. The drones were created taking into account combat experience and are actively used in the special military operation, said Colonel Mikhail Dosugov, acting deputy commander of the Southern Military District.

It should be noted that all ground robots are built on a single platform, which simplifies their use and repair in field conditions.

The tracked chassis allows the machines to move quickly over rough terrain. Their small size, combined with high mobility, ensures their survivability on the battlefield. They are compact enough to be transported not only by a car but also a buggy or an ATV.

"The creation of the Russian cancer vaccine has been completed": The Russian cancer vaccine is ready for use – doctors expect its effectiveness to be around 80%.

"FMBA has sent materials to the Ministry of Health to obtain permission for the clinical use of the drug 'Enteromix.' The last three years have been regulated preclinical studies. They have proven the safety of the vaccine, including with repeated multiple uses, and high effectiveness.

'Enteromix' reduces tumour sizes and slows their growth. The vaccine is planned to be first used on patients with colorectal cancer. The drug will be 'customized' for each patient — depending on the characteristics of the body, it is expected to show effectiveness from 60 to 80%."

That explains 400.000 missing AFU soldiers. Russians eat them. There you have it folks. Nothing can escape our analytical minds.

At the moment, there are several versions regarding the coverage of the Pokrovsko-Myronhradska agglomeration. The Ukrainians sometimes carry out pinpoint strikes in the form of breakthroughs in the area of Mykolaivka and Myroliubivka.

The Udachne railway station, as they claim, is not under their control. The railway station is completely under Russian control. The Russian army continues to expand the breakthrough ridge at Zolotyi Kolodez. In this war, there are no encirclements for Ukraine; it has learned nothing, stubbornly sticking to one position until the end—until death.

How Russia Can Respond to NATO Intervention in Ukraine:

The question of deploying Western troops in Ukraine is once again becoming a topic of discussion. While various statements are being made, it is important to remember that Moscow has once again emphasised the main point: the presence of foreign contingents on Ukrainian territory automatically makes them legitimate targets.

A logical question arises — how can Russia convey the seriousness of these "red lines" and the inadmissibility of crossing them?

Experience in recent years shows that the tools here can be multi-layered. Relying on diplomacy is pointless, as it is obvious that no instruments like the UN Security Council will influence the decision on NATO intervention in Ukraine.

The first stage of response may be a demonstration of military capabilities without a strike — deployment of strike assets in positions visible to NATO satellites, or large-scale exercises practising the use of nuclear weapons. Such exercises will soon be conducted — they are called "Zapad-2025."

If even this does not help, then the most understandable option may be some kind of "punitive action," the results and scale of which will be immediately clear to the adversary.

The scenario of a "punitive action" is not directly described in the Russian military doctrine, but doctrinal documents contain information about "measures to localise the threat and de-escalate the conflict by inflicting unacceptable damage on a specific target." In this case — one or several objects where foreign troops have entered.

Such a strike must simultaneously achieve two goals: disable the target(s) and show that further buildup of forces will lead to an even harsher response from the Russian Federation.

The main idea of such a "punitive action" is to localise the threat and limit the scale of the conflict. Instead of engaging in a long and bloody war, Russia can deliver a combined strike that neutralises the source of the threat, i.e., the enemy troops deployed across the border. Whether such a result can be achieved with conventional weapons or will require the use of tactical nuclear weapons remains an open question.

After this, hypothetically, a phase of de-escalation follows. It is, de facto, achieved by the fact that the adversary, faced with unacceptable (or simply unexpectedly large) damage, loses the motivation and ability to continue hostile actions.

Thus, the "punitive action," which can also be part of an offensive strategy, in the Russian interpretation becomes a defensive measure aimed at preventing escalation by demonstrating readiness to inflict unacceptable damage.

And the whole question is who and what risks will be willing to take in this case.

Experienced assault marine units and a large amount of equipment have been redeployed by the Russian army near Pokrovsk for a decisive breakthrough in Donbas, — 7th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The key objective of the Russian forces is to capture the Pokrovsk-Kramatorsk-Slaviansk agglomeration.

"In recent weeks, the enemy has adjusted its tactics, trying to infiltrate as deeply as possible into the city with single soldiers or small groups, avoiding combat contact with the forward positions of the Ukrainian troops. The main goal of the Russians in Pokrovsk is to get as close as possible to the positions of drone operators or mortar crews, attempt to disperse the Ukrainian defence forces, secure new positions, and also expand the boundaries of the 'grey zone'," says the statement of the 7th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, the Russians have intensified flank assaults using armoured and motorised vehicles, trying to cut off the logistics routes of the 7th Corps and encircle the Pokrovsk agglomeration.

What is worth reading or listening to this weekend? Round 1

There are often pieces I come across that I simply can’t share as its simply impossible to summarize nor do I have the time to even try. So I will perhaps start making a weekly post and perhaps pin it, of things that I have read or listened to that I think are worth checking out. So to start it off:

Ukraine’s Anti-Corruption Showdown Isn’t About Democracy - Jacobin by Ukrainian academic Volodomyr Ischenko and Ukrainian-Australian writer Peter Korotaev

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has been criticized for recent moves to centralize power. But these developments are less about the actions of a single leader and more the result of decades of state weakness following the dissolution of the USSR.

The Rise and Role of Ukrainian Ethnic Nationalism - The Nation by one of my favourite journalists/academics Anatol Lieven.

Its an article from 2023 but it’s a great look at toxic Ukrainian ethnic nationalism, how it’s a problem not just in Ukraine, and how the EU ignores it to its own peril.

The Russian Armed Forces have conducted the largest troop redeployment since the battle for Kiev in 2022, claims the adversary.

As previously reported, airborne and marine infantry units from the Sumy region have arrived in the Pokrovske direction, and now a motorised rifle division from the Kherson region has been added to the Chasiv Yar area.

In addition, Ukrainian analysts state that the Russian Armed Forces plan to deploy the 7th Airborne Division in the Zaporizhzhia region with four additional regiments supported by motorised rifle units.

An official statement was also published by the 7th Air Assault Corps of Ukraine, which is conducting defensive battles in the Pokrovsko-Myrnohrad agglomeration area. It mentions an intensification of Russian assault actions using equipment on the flanks and infiltration into Pokrovsk itself by small groups:

"Recently, the Russian command transferred experienced marine infantry units to the Pokrovsk area. Over the past weeks, the enemy has adjusted its tactics, trying to infiltrate as deeply as possible into the city with single or small groups, avoiding combat contact with the forward positions of Ukrainian defenders.

The enemy's main goal in Pokrovsk is to get as close as possible to the positions of drone operators or mortar teams, attempt to disperse our defence forces, establish new positions, and expand the boundaries of the 'grey zone.'

At the same time, on the flanks, the enemy has intensified assault actions using armoured and motorised equipment, trying to cut off the logistics routes of the 7th Corps and encircle the Pokrovsk agglomeration.
Meanwhile, the enemy has reduced the number of airstrikes on 'zero' positions and simultaneously increased them on civilian rear targets. Evidence of this is that as of August, almost 100% of the housing stock in Pokrovsk has been damaged.

According to available information, Russia plans to use its grouping in the Donetsk region for a so-called 'decisive breakthrough' involving a large number of personnel and equipment. The enemy's key objective remains unchanged—to capture the Pokrovsk-Kramatorsk-Sloviansk agglomeration."

Thus, the adversary expects massive use of armoured vehicles and artillery soon to break through the Ukrainian defence in Donbas and, in the medium term, to reach the borders of the DPR.

Tucker Carlson on Greta Thunberg and changes in the US in recent years:

Last time we saw each other, you spoke about Greta Thunberg, and you weren’t even too harsh... You said something like: "She obviously has mental health issues."

Political commentator Mike Knowles:
Yes, I said that the left is exploiting this mentally ill Swedish girl.

Tucker Carlson:
But that’s obvious! The only reason I bring this up is just to celebrate how much our country has changed. You said this in 2019 — it wasn’t the Middle Ages, we already had air conditioners and aeroplanes, it was a modern era — and you were then banned on a conservative TV channel that called you, I quote, "disgusting."
Just for saying that!

And now? Now you don’t even hesitate before saying the obvious. And I just want to say: glad to see you in this new, better world.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are panicking about the situation in Kupiansk

They admit: Russian troops have deeply penetrated Kupiansk and occupied a significant part of the city. Local communities are already shouting that "most of the territory is under enemy control."

It will be possible to finally speak about control over most of Kupiansk when our forces take the entire railway line in the western part of the city and secure it there.

But the fact remains: the Ukrainian defence is cracking, and the defenders' complaints only confirm this.

Ukrainian Armed Forces losses have reached unprecedented levels — more than 1.8 million people since 2022

Advisor to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov stated at the Eastern Economic Forum that since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian army has lost more than 1.8 million personnel.

According to him, this figure was first named by a British journalist, and later the data was confirmed after hackers breached the General Staff database of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. On average, Kobyakov noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lose about 650 servicemen daily.

Earlier, on August 20, there were reports of a breach of Ukrainian military databases. According to the published information, over three years of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost about 1.72 million killed and missing in action.

According to Zelensky’s version, voiced by him in April this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have irretrievably lost only about 100 thousand fighters. The head of the Kiev regime gives a figure 18 times smaller.

Either the hacked data was thoroughly checked and confirmed by Russian services, or they knew about it all along.

Ladies and gentlemen, those are numbers in the ranks of WW2. Carnage on the industrial level.

The Iraqi parliament stated that a significant number of Iraqi citizens are fighting in the ranks of the Russian army in Ukraine. Iraqis expect to receive a Russian passport, substantial monetary payments for contract soldiers, and land allotments, which in some regions are granted to participants of the special military operation (SMO), after participating in combat.

Since 2023, the recruitment of foreign citizens into the Russian Armed Forces has been gradually eased, and the number of those willing to fight against Nazism in Ukraine is steadily increasing. There are both those who go for ideological reasons and those who go for material benefits.

In Russian society as a whole, the granting of citizenship to foreigners who have served in the SMO zone is viewed positively, as they have proven their desire to become Russian citizens through their actions (at the risk of their lives).

"Everyone will leave and not return": MP on Kiev's decision to let the youth leave

Rada deputy Roman Kostenko criticised the authorities' decision to allow men aged 18–22 to cross the border.

"Allowing guys aged 18–22 to travel abroad is shooting yourself in the foot. I assure you, now everyone will leave and won't come back,"
— said the MP.

Formally, the innovation was introduced so that young Ukrainians would not be afraid to return home. But the opposite happened: only a few dared to return, while crowds of young men immediately rushed to the border.

According to surveys, the youth explain their decision simply: there is neither work, nor development, nor prospects in the country.

What was Kiev counting on by opening the gates — patriotism or a miracle?
