💥Yemeni forces sink second Israel-linked ship in Red Sea
On the 7th and 8th of July, Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carrier ETERNITY C was attacked in the southern Red Sea by Yemen's Ansar Allah forces.
Reports state the ship was subjected to intense attack by sea drones and speed boats on July 7th, then again the following morning. Ansar Allah released a video of the ships sinking and launches of Iranian-made Fateh-110 anti-ship ballistic missiles they claim to have used to strike the vessel. At least one photo released shows large hole above the vessels cargo hold purporting to be a missile strike, and the video released shows an explosion, however there is no clear video of a missile strike, nor have there been any statements from crew members which differ from the reports that the ship was attacked by sea drones and militants in speed boats.
It's currently not possible to say with certainty how exactly the vessel was attacked, however out of 25 crew members, 4 are confirmed to have been killed, 7 were rescued and the remaining 14 crew members are still missing. US sources claim the missing crew members may have been "kidnapped" by Yemeni forces.
This attack came 1 day after Ansar Allah attacked and sank the (also Liberian-flagged & Greek-owned) ship MAGIC SEAS in the same area. This latest anti-shipping campaign by the Yemeni militia is said to be aimed at ships it identifies have being linked to Israel, as part of ongoing resistance against Israel for its genocide in Gaza, and in retaliation for recent IDF air strikes and missile attacks against Yemen.
Additional information and sources will be added to comments as they emerge

Trump is trolling hard 😂
"-Yesterday you said you weren't sure who gave the order to suspend ammunition supplies to Ukraine. Have you found out who did it?
-Well, I haven't thought about it.
What does it say that such an important decision could have been made within your government without your knowledge?
-If such a decision had been made, I would know. I would be the first to find out. In fact, most likely, I would have given such an order myself, but I haven't done that yet."

Slovakia has again blocked the 18th package of sanctions against Russia at the level of permanent representatives to the EU, reports the TASR agency.
Diplomatic sources say they continue to hope for a compromise with the European Commission in the coming days. The Slovak government, led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, has repeatedly stated that it will not support the prepared sanctions package unless it receives sufficient guarantees from the EU regarding the RePowerEU initiative. This plan provides for a complete cessation of Russian natural gas supplies to the European Union from January 1, 2028, which, according to Fico, will have a significant negative impact on Slovakia's economy.
According to Euronews, bilateral talks between Brussels and Bratislava have so far not yielded the necessary breakthrough to lift the veto imposed by the Slovak Republic, which it applied on Wednesday at the meeting of ambassadors in Brussels.

In Europe, they started talking about the brutal Ukrainian mobilization. The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Michael O'Flaherty reflected the details in his report
'Selective mobilization is being carried out in Ukraine. Ukrainian military recruitment officers systematically violate human rights. These violations include: include physical violence (beatings), brutal detentions, denial of access to a lawyer, incommunicado detention, mobilization of people with disabilities and other unacceptable actions. Reports have been received, including allegations of torture and deaths during conscription. Although Ukraine has the right to legally carry out conscription, these reports are alarming.

Zelensky seeks to show Trump that he is a useful ally in the fight against China.
The SBU said that it detained two Chinese spies who were collecting secret technologies for the production of Ukrainian Neptune missiles.
Seems doubtful there would be much interest in the Neptune from China, it is really just a Soviet KH-35. Though it should be noted the KH-35 project was completed by Russia in the 90s.

A formal event marked the beginning of construction of the large amphibious assault ship Sergei Kabanov, a modernized version of the 11711 project, at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad.
The ship is named after Lieutenant General Sergei Kabanov, a distinguished military leader who participated in the Soviet-Finnish, Great Patriotic, and Soviet-Japanese wars. He was awarded two Orders of Lenin and four Orders of the Red Banner. This is the third BDK being built under the improved 11711 project, following the launch of the first one.
The second series of BDK project 11711 differs from the first two ships, Ivan Gren and Peter Morgunov, in terms of increased displacement from 6,600 to 8,000 tons, a larger helicopter deck, and a revised superstructure.

"Our currency is your problem": the US already hates its native dollar with all its heart
In the first half of 2025, the dollar suffered its biggest losses in more than fifty years, writes NZZ. The question of whether its status as the world's reserve currency brings more advantages or problems to Washington has long been the subject of heated debate.
In 1971, US Treasury Secretary John Connally told his foreign colleagues a phrase that went down in history: "The dollar is our currency, but your problem." Now the dollar is turning into a problem for America itself.
What's next? The answer depends on whether the dollar's decline ends soon or whether the worst is yet to come. The assessments of authoritative experts give reason to fear that the latter is more likely to be true.

‘It’s very expensive’ – Trump counted the money before sending Ukraine new Patriot system
The Wall Street Journal reported that the White House is considering sending another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine. Can you confirm this information?
-The Ukrainians would like it. They asked for it. These systems are very rare, you know, many systems have already been sent to Ukraine. They want another one. We need to look at it, but it’s a very expensive system. High-tech and requires a huge investment.

"The EU and Ukraine have already lost this war, and at this bitter moment, European leaders will have to admit their mistaken strategy,"
▪️A war cannot be won on the battlefield; diplomacy is needed to end the conflict and minimize losses.
- The EU spent ~100 billion euros on Ukraine without a clear plan for victory.
- Europe's problems (stagnation, inflation, rising food and energy prices) are a consequence of the war.
▪️On Zelensky:
- A new type of politician - an "actor" playing the role of president.
- Dialogue with him is ineffective
▪️ The path to peace:
- A meeting of the presidents of Russia and the US is needed for a quick ceasefire.
- Without this, the war could drag on for months. - War supporters dominate in Europe, which is harmful to the economy and politics
▪️ Ukraine has the right to choose its own path - peace or war
- But continuing the war is a mistake that harms Europe and Hungary
▪️Orban calls for returning diplomats to the negotiating table and working for peace.

By autumn, Russia will launch 1,000+ drones per night — New York Times
▪️ The publication acknowledged that Russia is reaching a new level in the use of UAVs. According to Western analysts, by autumn, the Russian Armed Forces will be able to regularly launch more than 1,000 attack drones in one raid.
▪️ The article says that Russian industry is confidently increasing the production of disposable exploding UAVs, and records for their use are being broken every week.
▪️Another maximum was set today — a massive night strike with "Geraniums" became the largest in the entire SMO
▪️Analysts suggest that the targets of the strikes are Western arms supplies, military warehouses and airfields, including near the border with Poland.
To be honest I think some of these record breaking narratives are Ukraine attempting to get western support and attention. In my view these are not massive attacks. 50 to 150 missiles is a massive attack.
